Listed on the national registry of historic buildings, this vacation home is full of charm and character and offers guests a one of a kind experience. Enjoy gorgeous views of the river and the ocean as you build special memories with friends and family. The Bandon Historic River House has been a special gathering place for many over the years offering a perfect venue for weddings, reunions and whatever special event you might be celebrating.

Located on the Coquille River and in Old Town Bandon, you can easily stroll to the many shops, galleries and restaurants Old Town has to offer. Or you can walk west to the South Jetty and explore miles of amazing beaches. Common wildlife sightings right from the River House include many species of seabirds, eagles, seal lions, seals and even whales, which have been spotted exploring up the river. At the nearby harbor you might enjoy crabbing and fishing. The area has lots of hiking trails and several golf courses, including those at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.

The kitchen, dining and living rooms are all located on the main floor to provide easy access for most! A fully stocked kitchen welcomes cooks of all levels. The large dining area flows into the living room providing a great community space. The backyard is a fun place to gather and take in the beautiful sites of the Coquille River.

The yellow room, which has its own exterior entrance, is located on the main floor and has a queen bed and a double futon. The gray room, which boasts amazing views of the river, is also located on the main floor and has a double bed and a futon. These rooms share the main floor bathroom.

The upper level of the river house has three adjoining bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The king room, at the top of the stairs, has an open plan and includes one king bed and one sofa sleeper, an electric fireplace, and a bathroom with a large soaker tub and shower. It has views of the river, the lighthouse and the ocean. The king room is connected to two queen rooms that also have a full bathroom on their end.

Charming and the best weekend at the coast

We loved the historic building right on the water, with a view of the lighthouse. Located right in Bandon, so all restaurants, cafes and shops were minutes away. Well equipped kitchen, and the beds and bedding was the most comfortable I've seen in a rental. So much room for all of our family, we had a delightful weekend.

Perfect location

This old house was perfect for our family reunion. It was well stocked, comfortable and roomy. The location near this great little town and on the river was perfect.

Love Bandon.

My son and his friend and my brother and myself stayed there. It was so enjoyable. My brother is a photographer and got some great photos of the sunsets over the lighthouse. Beds were very comfortable and I loved the kitchen. Hope to come back again. I would give it a 5 star rating.

Golf Trip

Location and updated bathrooms where 5+ We loved the home and were quite comfortable. Closet space very limited but certainly doable if you live out if your suitcase. We will definitely look forward to renting again!

Great location & Large Home

This home is right next door to the Edgewater restaurant in Bandon. You can walk to everything in town which was great for us. After a long day playing golf at Bandon Dunes, it was great to be able walk to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and hiking trails.

Bandon Gem

Our family loved staying at this historic house. The open concept was spectacular as were the ocean views. We enjoyed watching a seal in plain view out back. It’s also next door to an A+ restaurant (Edgewater) and the port of Bandon maintenance shop on the other side of the property. Both were quiet. Being in walking distance to the downtown shops and boardwalk was also amazing and appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were all newly remodeled. We loved staying here so much, that we plan to come back.

Great location for a Bandon golf trip

This place comfortably slept 8 guys. It’s located right next to a great restaurant (10 steps to the right) and right on the water. House was clean and beds were comfy. It is a historical building and the lights were hard to identify switches or turn on, but we were only there to sleep and recharge.

We had so much fun last year, we scheduled again this year. Loved the installation of the new windows looking at the Coquille River as well as the new partition upstairs. So easy to walk to Old Town

Great house in a great town

Came out to Bandon to play golf at Bandon Dunes and didn't want to stay in the lodge. Perfect location about 10 mins from golf courses, great small town with coffee shops, seafood eateries, pubs, etc. Just a great town that had everything we needed, plus amazing house right on the water. Would highly recommend, communication with owner was quick and he was super helpful. 10 out of 10. -AJ

Awesome Property

Golf Getaway

Great stay!

The River House was awesome and everything we needed. Our group of 4 guys stayed 3 nights. We played golf during the day and enjoyed cooking dinner in the well appointed kitchen. Also, we had a great time watching seals swimming in the river and the crabbers checking their pots. The house has been updated nicely and is very well appointed. There’s plenty of room for a big group as well. It’s walking distance to Old Town Bandon and it’s great having Edgewater next door. Check in and out are a breeze. Highly recommend.

Marvelous memories

We had such a wonderful experience is this gorgeous large historic home. There was plenty of room and beds for our 6 adults and two children. The main floor is spacious, has high ceilings, bright and a wonderfully stocked kitchen for cooking. All of the rooms had great windows (some with ocean views and sitting areas) and had everything you needed. With three full baths no one had to wait. The backyard outside area was fun to use and we appreciated the outside hose to wash off Sandy feet/shoes. It’s a two min walk into historic town area with shops, fish shacks, etc. our week here was magical.

Excellent rental!

Went on a golf trip to Bandon with 6 guys. All of the accommodations on the golf property were sold out. We ended up renting this VRBO as our back up option, however, it couldn't have worked out better. This rental was fantastic and something we all preferred over staying on the Bandon Dunes Property. The location of this VRBO was excellent and the place was perfect, spacious, clean, etc. The views of the water from the living room of the VRBO were awesome. Would stay there again for sure.

Property was very nice. Unique spot right on river with great views and seals swimming around in the morning. Big space, plenty of room for 4 adults on a golf trip to Bandon dunes. Very easy walk into town for dinners and such. No on site parking but street parking was not a problem. We had a great time. Would go back.
