We had the best 2 month stay at this property. The location was perfect and very convenient. The owners have done a great job making their property neat and so comfortable. They were eager to help in any way and made our stay in Charleston even better. We will definitely go back! Thank you for the wonderful memories.
My husband and I spent four weeks in January 2023 at this lovely historic home. For the past 10 years we've spent a month each winter in the south to get away from midwestern winter weather. This home is my favorite. The kitchen is well-equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Cleanliness is very important and this home meets my high standards. The owner, Aaron, was always responsive to questions or issues. If you enjoy history, Charleston is the perfect place to visit.
We rented this unit for one month. Friends and family came and went during that time. The unit is exactly as described. Beds are super comfortable. Extra bedding. Perfectly appointed kitchen. Keurig, Nespresso and Mr Coffee. Coffee grinder. Electric tea pot. No detail overlooked. Very close to the hip restaurant scene in Charleston. Can walk to many fabulous restaurants. 15 minutes to the airport for all the comings and goings. We had a great time!!
We loved our month long stay at this property. First, it is very attractive and comfortable -- lots of charm, yet fully updated. The kitchen is fully equipped, though we chose to eat out just about every night. Charleston's top restaurants are within a 10 minute walk (Chubby Fish, Melfi's, Chez Nous, etc.). It was our fourth year renting on the penninsula, and this location was the best yet! What's more, Aaron was super communicative and responsive. If I could give add'l stars, I would!

We're new owners of the home and only have this one home listed on VRBO and other short-term rental sites, so we're not a large company or are distracted with multiple properties, so you can expect us to be responsive and caring. We travel a lot and understand what it takes to have a great guest experience so you can expect a 5 star experience staying in our home. However, like any other person we're not perfect (yet!) and will ask you for your candid feedback and suggestions for improvement so with every reservation our guest experience will be better than the last! It is because of our previous guests feedback that have made us confident that you can "rest assured" that you will be happy in our home!
Why they chose this property
This 150+ year old downtown home has been enjoyed by many short-term guests over the years and has and earned many 5 (or 10) star reviews. The home is nicely situated with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living area, which makes it ideal if you need private accommodations for a wedding, a family gathering, working remotely, attending a nearby school, etc.. The home was built in the 1850's and still has much of its original charm and quirks you'd expect from a 150 year old home but with some modern amenities.
What makes this property unique
Our 1850's home is situated in the "Old City Historic District" of downtown Charleston located just south of the "Crosstown" which serves as a connection between US-17 & I-26! Less than a 10-minute walk to the center of the King Street and walking distance to the College Of Charleston, MUSC / Roper Hospital, Hampton Park and countless shops, restaurants/cafes and bars. Easy car access to local beaches (Folly, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms), and Mt Pleasant without having to deal with downtown traffic you find at the tip of the peninsula. In just 2 turns you are on your way to seeing all that Charleston has to offer!
