Awesome stay. Cabin was just as listed. Very nice and well equipped. Hosts were very responsive to a few questions we had. Steps from AT. Great hike to Blood Mountain and back. We plan on staying there again in the future.
It is such a nice property and we loved that we could hike the Appalachian trail from the front door! We utilized the outdoor fireplace and loved that outdoor space. The home was so nice and we had a great time and we'll be booking again!

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
My wife and I really enjoy quiet country settings with all the necessary accommodations. We especially enjoyed to large screened-in patio and fireplace. While very comfortable there, we spent a lot of our daytime visiting Dahlonega and multiple waterfalls. Hikers will enjoy the multiple trails in the area.
What a great place to stay for hiking on the AT. The location was perfect to hike right out the door to the trail. They had all the comforts of home and were available for the few questions we had. The porch was so nice with the swing and the table to eat outside. We would definitely stay here again.
We were charmed by the cabin and were very happy when we arrived. Although, the cleaner smell was a bit strong. Opening windows helped. Unfortunately the septic failed on us meaning our stay at the cabin would be cut short. Leah and Sean had another property available (Barn Loft) and offered that as an alternative. Both were wonderful and we were very happy to not have to head back to the city and got a few more days in North Georgia. The screened in porch is our favorite part of the cabin.
Cabin was very clean and in good condition. It was exactly what we needed to explore the north Georgia mountains. We were able to hike out from the cabin right onto the AT to Preachers Rock and Blood Mountain. Hundreds of other trails are just a short drive away. Host was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
This is our 2nd stay at this cozy, peaceful, inviting cabin. It truly has everything you need and just a short distance from the cabin to the hiking trail. It is pretty secluded and my favorite part was the swing bed which is on the porch along with a fireplace. You can literally hear nature at night and are close to Vogel State park and Lake Scott which are absolutely beautiful during the fall. The owners are the greatest and communication was wonderful. If your looking for the most relaxing getaway, you want to book this cabin.
Thank you Sean and Leah for your hospitality! We loved everything about your cabin. We offer our opinion as two property managers in the same vacation rental business. Your cabin was exceptionally clean, maintained meticulous, and perfectly located adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. The cabin pictures and description were 100% accurate. Can't wait to return! Happy Trails
Nestled amidst nature, this charming little cabin exceeded our expectations. The sofa swing on the patio provided a serene spot to unwind, while the nearby Appalachian Trail was just a short walk from the cabin. The abundance of other trails and parks in the area made our stay even more delightful.
However, what truly set this experience apart were the hosts, Sean and Leah. Their warm hospitality, thoughtful recommendations on trails, shopping, and dining, and their genuine care made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts.
If you’re seeking a peaceful escape surrounded by natural beauty, this cabin is the ideal choice. We left with cherished memories and a desire to return soon.
My husband and I absolutely loved everything about this cabin for 2! It was very clean and well stocked with basic necessities for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the screened in porch with fireplace and swing bed/couch! Beautiful landscaping out front with natural stone steps and branch railing made it feel like a tropical oasis. (However, the stairs may be a challenge for those who have difficulty walking.) Neighboring homes are within sight but we still felt a sense of seclusion while at this property. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we rarely saw or heard other people. The beautiful winding mountain roads we traveled to reach the cabin were a treat, although I might recommend arriving before dark for the first time if you're not used to mountain driving. GPS worked fine to reach the cabin. No need for 4WD vehicle to access this property was a plus! Hosts were kind, accommodating and quick to respond to questions. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property!
We had the best time at this cabin! This cabin is located in Henery's Gap (couldn't be better) and you can hike to blood mountain or to preacher's rock easily directly from the cabin. Cabin is beautiful and cozy. It has everything you may need. Sean and Leah are amazing hosts. They've furnished the cabin with everything you could possibly need from chargers to hiking backpack. The cabin has beautiful porch. It was raining one of the days we were there, and we turned on the fireplace and spent an entire day enjoying the rain, books, wine and the fire. We were celebrating my husband's birthday at the cabin and Sean and Leah went above and beyond for us. Not only did they leave a bottle of wine for us to enjoy (we love wine) but also figured out the collage my husband went to and bought an alma mater t-shirt for him as a gift. We have gained friends in Sean and Leah! :) Thank you for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a gateway in the mountains.
Loved this perfect little cabin. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Loved the outside porch with swing and fireplace . Close to hiking and jeep trails for exploring. Sean and Leah were wonderful and so accommodating . Look forward to visiting again soon!

Why they chose this property
We bought this place to enjoy the outdoors. Love to hike, mountain bike, and ride motorcycles. This place was perfect, as we can walk right out of our cabin and five minutes later we are on the Appalachian Trail where we can spend all day exploring in the woods. The area roads are perfect for street bikes, dual sport bikes and Jeeps. Suches is Georgia's version of the "The Tail of the Dragon", which happens to be only 2 hours away and is an awesome ride. There are hundreds of miles of forest service roads that lead to hidden waterfalls, wildlife and creeks and rivers. Sharing the great outdoors is our passion, this beautiful tiny cabin allows us to encourage others as well.
What makes this property unique
Super close to the Appalachian Trail near the longest portion of true wilderness in Georgia. The new fireplace is a great way to enjoy a roaring fire with the comfort of a fully screened in covered deck. The temperature is typically 10 degrees lower than the city allowing you relax on the sofa swing, listen to the birds and regain your well deserved sanity. Although you will be in the wilderness you will have easy access to good roads and scenery without needing a 4x4. The pull though driveway and parking makes is simple for two vehicles to park and come and go without having to do the driveway-Macarena. Internet is high reliability fiber, giving you access and performance not usually found in remote areas.
