About this property

A Breathtaking View from Beachfront Villa in Famous Coyote Bay

Welcome to the 'Perfect Escape' - Combining the rugged beauty of Baja Sur and the Sea of Cortez - famous CONCEPTION BAY.

PRIVACY - SECURITY - TRANQUILITY - SPECTACULAR LAGOON VIEWS

This relaxing beachfront villa has panoramic views of the spectacular Bay of Conception. Private and peaceful, the days go by at a lazy, relaxing pace. If your dream vacation means tranquility with islands and hidden beaches all to yourself, then you have found it. Come... relax and find paradise in Coyote Bay.

Porpoise and whales are frequent sightings from the large 2500 sq ft seaside patio. Marine birds live here in large numbers. Snorkel, swim, and kayak in the clear, warm waters adjoining the villa. Treasure hunt for hours while strolling the sugar sand beaches. The Cortez offers great deep-sea fishing & diving, while schools of colorful fish roam the adjacent reefs for your snorkeling pleasure. There is a refreshing beach shower after a swim in the bay. Kayaks, boats, and floats are available for rent nearby. Explore pristine, unihabited islands and bays with beautiful sandy beaches.

Osprey making their morning catches are a thrill to watch from the seaside patio, as are the many pods of porpoise making their way through the bay. Schools of fish swim by right next to the seawall and handy steps take you to the sandy beach in front. Hike from the villa to the surrounding mountains and living desert...wildlife abounds and bighorn sheep are often seen on the rugged cliffs of the surrounding mountains.

5 delightful beach-side cafes are just a pleasant walk or drive for your dining pleasure...also take a scenic drive into the village only 17 miles away. Whether you're beach-combing, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing or just lazily gazing at a truly spectacular view, this is your perfect, stress-free home away from home. The house can accommodate a couple, a family, or a group.

The nearby village of Mulege (moo-la-hay) is a peaceful place of about 4000 friendly folk who offer very good markets, restaurants, and all services needed. Lots of colorful dances, festivals, music, fiestas, and a slow easy pace to enjoy them with your guests or new-found friends. Saturday nights are time for the traditional Serinadad pig roast with lively mariachi bands singing at your table. A great experience anytime is the guided tour to many nearby ancient cave paintings.

Great view but house was not so great

The view is stunning. The outside patio is excellent and one of the nicest on the beach. The paddle boards and kayaks are in very poor condition. There was a strong smell in the house similar to smoked fish. The fridge smelled of fish, enough so that you did not want to open it. The house could use some general maintenance: Window screen that did not fit, a toilet that leaks at the base, toilets not flushing well, sinks not draining, bathroom door that won’t shut. The view and outside are wonderful, but I would not stay in the house again.

Beautiful views

This house was perfect for our family. Every morning we woke up to the most Beautiful sunrise overlooking Coyote Bay. Our kids enjoyed the pool table for down time after daily paddle boards, kayaking and boating. Great stay. Wish we could have been there longer.

Nice house and location..but.....

Great location and probably a decent house..but we had several issues. First night no ac, second night all went well, third day no water for 3/4 of the day. Next 4 nights solar battery power exhausted by 8pm. We did not use anything but minimal lights and fans. Big issue was BED BUGS! My wife and the other couple with us heavily bitten, not spiders or mosquitos..we know the difference..I sent a picture of my wifes bites to the owner...no response! considering the amount of money charged for a week should not include bed bugs!! We have had an off grid house in Baja in the past so we know about solar and generator issues..we could handle that..BED BUGS are a whole other issue....Its been two weeks and I sent a letter to Pier the owner and messaged his wife Erma via vrbo….no response....We have nothing but praise for the managers but they can't be responsible for the owners not responding. On the solar issue the managers brought in a local solar guy who thought the inverter was the problem along with the need to add more panels...again the main issue was the bed bugs ugggg! would we stay again??? maybe if the issues were addressed as the location is awesome and the house itself is nice...

House & location were fantastic. Four of us enjoyed our two weeks. Friendly people and just a short walk to a store & two places to eat. Kayaking the bay was great. We enjoyed Mulege for shopping and eating. Fun was had by all!

Beach all to yourself

This property was truly incredible. It was wide open and spacious with all the kitchen supplies one would need as well as all the beach toys (kayaks/paddle boards) one needs. The beach was incredibly quiet. We woke with the sunrise, paddled, and then went hiking in the area. Baja is cooler than many other places in Mexico. However, I challenge you to find a place more beautiful remote place to spend some time recharging and relaxing with friends and family. I recommend this place to people who like to be off the beaten track, who like to have privacy and space, who like adventure and realize that another country IS NOT supposed to feel like home. We went with another family who rented another beach house in Coyote Bay. This one was much grander and more spacious inside. The other had a great outdoor fireplace we were able to use. I would highly recommend this property.

An unforgetable holiday in Mexico (:

It's a wonderful beach vacation. We enjoyed our breakfast in a sunny place at the terrace with the nicest view we've ever had!!! Paddleboarding and seakayaking was a great experience for us. The waterworld is unique! The house is perfectly equipped. 200 meters away there is a kiosk that has even birthday candles :) on the first day we were greeted by dolphins. The best place for relaxation! It's a good feeling to come from snowshuffling to roast chicken with rested soul. Many thanks to the property managers P+L :)) we will come back! we = Volkmar, Heiki and Karolina from Germany

Perfect Mexico beach vacation

We were looking for a relaxing beach vacation away from our busy everyday lives, and this was the perfect place to relax. The house is huge, and was a great fit for my husband and two friends. But as much as we loved the house, which was clean and well outfitted,( even has a pool table), it was the outdoor space that will bring us back. The patio is huge, with 4 comfy hammocks, 2 chaise lounges, 2 swing chairs, 2 large outdoor table sets, a gas BBQ, a wood BBQ and a fire pit with more chairs. To top things off, Coyote Bay feels like your own private place. We kayaked and paddle boarded (2 each included w/ the house), fished and snorkeled every day. The highlight of our trip was paddleboarding with the 3 whale sharks. When you visit make sure you try the restaurant in the center of the beach area at Santispak Beach -the garlic shrimp is amazing and the price reasonable. Breakfast and lunch was great, too. Heads up, this property is off the grid, solar and propane power, which wasn't a problem at all with the 4 of us. Internet is spotty, due to the remote location, and no TV (bring some DVDs if you must have that kind of entertainment) or cell service. None of these were issues for us, we have never had a more relaxing, fun, special "unplugged" holiday. We highly recommend this property

Amazing location, great property managers

For me this house had the perfect balance of privacy and beach access. When we return we will almost certainly stay in the same house because of that. I can’t say enough great things about the property managers Patsi and Les. We flew in on Christmas day and because it was a holiday they didn’t know if grocery stores would be open. To make sure that we wouldn’t be without food they made us a casserole and stocked us up with a handful of food items just in case. That was very unexpected and incredibly thoughtful of them. They shared a wealth of great local information that was both interesting and helped guide our stay. During the week we had a couple of minor things come up, normal stuff, and they were very responsive and addressed them immediately. One thing to note about the house. The master bedroom is very nice but it's entrance is separate from the main part of the house. This wasn't an issue for us but if you have small kids it might be something you'll need to consider.  There is a white dog that lives on the beach and we totally fell in love with her. On top of being very friendly she added to our sense of safety by barking any time there was activity around the house. She likes shrimp. Speaking of which, every couple of days a fisherman would come by selling fresh seafood. The prices are great and it's fresh, don't hesitate to buy some.     Random notes on the house: - Wireless internet worked well, it was good to stay connected to family back home  - Cable/satellite TV wasn't working, who cares though. who goes to Baja to watch TV  - There is a blu-ray player and a handful of movies  - Lots of books, a number of good books on Baja - All major areas of the house were clean    A few thoughts on the area: - The food at Bertha's is very good and it's very close to the house. Great atmosphere.  - For a the best hamburger in the area, visit Olivia at Playa Buenaventura, Mark & Olivia's Bar/Restaurant

Location, Location, Location!!

The photos on the listing site represent the exterior patio areas and beautiful bay accurately. We spent most of our time outside so we enjoyed the seating and dining options. The home itself was marginal; mostly because the kitchen and bathrooms were dirty and the solar alone was not adequate to power the home; even though we were very conservative. We stayed 1 week and had to reset the system 3 different mornings after making a pot of coffee. We could not figure out the satellite tv, nor could the managers, and the internet worked only at times. There is no cell service. We read, walked, swam and kayaked so it was generally fine for us (2 adult couples). The weather was grand so we were able to enjoy the outdoors. The property could use a lot of TLC and a good cleaning then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. The location is spectacular.

Hola, my name is Pier. Welcome to the site..and Welcome to CasaCoyote. I know you will enjoy your stay at our Coyote Bay home...a unique and rare place in the sun.

I little about me: I am involved in agricultural businesses in California, own a harvest-labor company, olive oil company, farming acres, and a few other related enterprises. My success in these endeavors made it possible to invest in Baja Sur, Mexico.

I am an avid hunter/ fisherman, and take many off-road trips into the Baja outback.

I own a large parcel of beachfront development land near San Jose del Cabo Another larger beach home rental on the East Cape with many emenities. I built and owned an up-scale steak restaurant in San Jose del Cabo, El Vacquero.

I have been coming to Baja since the early seventies and love the country and people. I speak fluent Spanish as I am of Mexican/Swiss descent.

Welcome to CasaCoyote. I know you will enjoy your stay at our Coyote Bay home...a unique and rare place in the sun.

Saludos, Pier

Why they chose this property

I have always loved Coyote Bay..and became good friends with the CasaCoyote owner from whom I eventually bought this beach home in 2009.The beauty of this tranquil bay is unrivaled anywhere in Baja Sur. I first met the previous owner when camping on Coyote Beach, and we became fast friends.

What makes this property unique

Think ...Paradise ..but without the serpent.

Coyote Bay - tranquility and bay views you will find in Baja.
