Romance, and Relax as You Rejuvenate at Our Lake House Retreat
Relaxing at the outside deck or on the screened porch allow for breathtaking panoramic views of the activity on this majestic lake. Beautiful Lake Bomoseen is the largest lake within the state of Vermont. As you fish or swim from the dock, the lake has over 9 square miles to explore.
We are conveniently located with access to many Vermont and New York attractions. Hiking trails at the State Park, the Long Trail or on Killington are easily accessible. Take a historical trip to the Shelburne Museum, Hildene, or Wilson Castle. Travel to Vermont Teddy Bear Factory or enjoy the Ben and Jerry's Factory tour are other ways to explore nearby.
Magic Hat, Long Trail and Harpoon breweries as well as Shelburne Vineyard are experiences worth researching. Downtown Rutland, has many spots to enjoy. Yet, the peaceful views and activities on lake are the most enjoyable.
Clearly, there are perfect photographic opportunities watching the sunrise as the loons melodically call out and the bass jump toward the sunlight. The bald eagles will be in view from the deck. The magnificent Green Mountains are part of the landscape from our Western shore respite on the lake.
Our cottage has been the most favorite place to enjoy the summer with friends and family. We welcome the opportunity to share our love for our lake house on Lake Bomoseen with your family. It will be a most rewarding journey for years to come.

Everything you need for the stay is provided by host. The views from the porch, deck and waterfront deck are fantastic. This was our second stay for summer 2024.
We spent most our time relaxing on the porch overlooking the lake from the top of the hill. We enjoyed making friends with the local chipmunks, feeding them sunflower seeds from my lap. We really enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful view.
Cozy camp with an unbeatable view. The view just gets better and better as you continue onto the 3 porches. Owner Lynn was very responsive. Camp had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay!
We have stayed at this house for years it has a spectacular view . I’m not saying anymore because I don’t want my weeks to get booked. It’s our happy place. 🥰
My family had a wonderful time.
We found the house very well set up for our time here - plenty of kitchen equipment, excellent in and outdoor seating, a well maintained grill, solid A/C ( it was abnormally hot weather during our stay) and enough water equipment to keep us all very occupied. We really enjoyed swimming in the clear and clean water. We came in July and the water was a very pleasant temperature.
The house is very clean as well!
The host is very responsive and able to help point you in the right direction for all you may need for a successful vacation at their lake house.
Thanks for letting us use your home!

Found out after last payment when it was too late to find another rent …… the house has NON POTABLE Water. Cannot drink or cook with the water in the house
Wonderful time relaxing on the lake. I’m not a fan of the “lake weed” and so this spot was perfect with rocky shore that drop off quickly! No vegetative leg attacks! The only consideration to be aware of is it is over 3 miles away from the boat rental place. So my husband does not recommend if you have a car and want to rent kayaks with the goal of cruising them back for the weekend (and my teenage son never wants to look at a kayak again)
Otherwise would 100% recommend For a rustic weekend getaway.
The cottage location, property and lake were even better than we imagined.
I took a swim in the beautiful, clear lake. Lovely!
The fabulous screened in porch was where we ate, drank, worked on puzzles and mostly observed the wildlife, including a ‘resident’ Osprey, nesting finches, phoebes and other birds. We had a chipmunk friend who ate out of our hands and in our laps, while we relaxed on the deck overlooking the lake.
The whole cottage had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was very well equipped as well. We used the grill on the deck and basked in the beauty of nature.
Lynn was very helpful with a few questions we had, and enthusiastic as well… very nice.
Our only outings were to Robo’s General Store for a couple supplies and ice cream. Great little place! We also had lunch at The Lakehouse Pub on Rte. 30 on the opposite side of the lake. Outstanding service and food, highly recommended.
Overall, our best getaway ever!!!
