About this property

Stunning Newly Renovated Piece of Heaven

The house is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom wonderfully cozy, newly renovated house on the lake. The first floor has 2 guest rooms which are furnished identically, with 2 queen beds in each; while the second floor master offers a large private suite, 2 balconies, with a walk in shower and dual vanities.
On the main floor there is a full bathroom, laundry/mudroom, large gourmet kitchen, dining area with seating for up to 12, and living room.
The upper floor also has another full bathroom, and a loft featuring a second sitting area.
The rear of the house has a full green backyard, lined by trees to help with privacy.
The front of the home features a large deck to enjoy gatherings all evening long., while relaxing and conversing around the fire table or rear outdoor fire area.

Long weekend bookings require minimum 5 day rental rate.

Our section of the lake features 100' private of beachfront, with sandy beach. A short walk down our private dock leads to the main dock entertaining area, where you can tie up your boat or jet skis, swim, or lounge in our outdoor cabana, or catch some rays. Wired in Bluetooth speakers, and a bar round out the experience. There is plenty of room! The beach and dock area will get sun all day long.

Besides sunning and swimming, there is plenty to do. We have many games available for our guests, plus a full size ping pong table and children's kayaks and SUPs

We would love to welcome you and hope you create as many wonderful memories as we have been.

Please note, we have created a small piece of wonderfulness. Although this is not our main home; it is still our home:) We have gone to great lengths to ensure you and our family will have it for enjoyment

Sproat lake

The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. The dock was a lovely space to hang out under the covered area when it was hot and steps into water were a plus. There was a speaker to play music and a fridge down on the dock to keep drinks cold. Our family and friends had a great time.

Beautiful location

The house is very roomy and offers everyone everyone their own space. We played games on the back lawn and enjoyed the air conditioning during our visit. The dock has everything you need and the walk in stairs to the water are such an added bonus as multiple people can sit and visit while only half in the water. The covered area was a welcome retreat from the sun. It's a beautiful oasis on stunning sproat lake.

Best Dock Ever

Going to the lake is all about the dock and swimming for us and this was the best set up ever The Dock had an excellent Gazebo with a fridge, comfortable patio furniture under a high roof and four outside beach loungers. Shade blinds on the east and west sides blocked the sun or let the cool breeze in as needed. The stairs were cut into the dock. Very easy to get in and out of the water.Our barely 4 year old could get in and out of the water by herself. Sometimes she just sat on the bottom step and paddled. The paddle boards were hung out of the way and easily accessible. The dock being on the other side of the road was no problem at all. We felt comfortable with the 7 and 8 year old crossing the road on their own. The house itself was excellent. The one air conditioner was a little overtaxed but an additional one is on back order. Once we learned how to augment the air conditioning with the fans we were comfortable. The host was easy to get hold of if needed and took good care of us.

Excellent Vacation Propert

We had an amazing time at Kris and Annie’s property. We had all our family at their place and it was well equipped, a great location and an incredible place. We hung out on the dock during the day and it had nice patio furniture on it, as well, it had a fridge and blue tooth for music. In the evening we enjoyed their deck. This place has lots of room for a big family. Kris and Annie were wonderful hosts too.

Beautiful Home

We loved our stay at Kris and Anne's beautiful home. It is such a perfect home for a family and friends or a couple. They've really thought about every detail. The dock has a covered area and comfortable seating area as well as a fridge which we loved! The lake of course is always amazing and beautiful. Would highly recommend their home to anyone! Kris and Anne were also very responsive and kind as we had questions around accessibility and my elderly parents as well as the crazy road closures etc! Thank you for sharing your home Kris and Anne!

Lakehouse Heaven!

We loved our stay at the lake house! We are planning our trip next year and definitely will return to the property. The home felt like a home away from home. The open concept living area was a perfect way to spend time with family and entertain. The private dock with access to kayaks and paddleboards added to the lake experience with a Bluetooth speaker sound system and fridge. Kris was very responsive to texts and phone calls if we ever had any questions. Thank you Kris and Annie for being incredible hosts! Sonia

Summer fun

Love the open floor plan and very welcoming. allowed us to all be together for a large group on the rainy days Enjoyed a fire pit in the back yard. A fire table on the front deck. Short walk across road to dock and lots of room for our boat. We spent most time on water and dock. Dock was set up for fun in the sun. Much thanks to Kris and Ann. Will be back!

Amazing week!!

We enjoyed a week at the lake house enjoying the scenery, lake activities, ping pong, the backyard, etc. We were celebrating an 80th birthday celebration and comfortably fit 9 of us!! The lake is so clean, clear and refreshing. The shade down by the dock is helpful too! We had a great stay! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

A Beautiful Lakeside Stay

This lakeside property had everything needed for a perfect weekend getaway. A spacious kitchen and living room, well kept bedrooms, board games and ping pong table, and a beautiful covered dock with outdoor seating which came in handy when it rained! We would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay on Sproat lake, rain or shine :)

August getaway!

This property and house is beautiful and there are so many things to do, whether it’s to relax, play some games with the kids, swim, etc. The kids liked walking down for an ice cream cone at the nearby little shop. Kris was prompt and wonderful to deal with. Would return for sure! Thank you

Beautiful lake house

Beautiful lake house on fabulous Sproat lake. The house is totaly modern with an interesting design. Well provisioned. Great deck for lazing around on and eating. Big kitchen and inside dining. Super private dock for swimming off and lounging with covered and open areas, lots of water toys, Private beach probably not ideal for toddlers - pebbles with lilypad covering the shallow water & fairly busy road to cross to access the private beach/dock from the beach house. Very responsive owner.

Better than the Photos

Kris and Anne have done a wonderful job to make their property a luxury for guests. Almost every detail has been considered (ninja blenders, dock cups, fishing rods, greeting card upon arrival, I could fill the writing space with the list). No hesitation rebooking. Beautiful home and amazing dock

We had a lovely stay at this rental; the recent renovation of the house was evident and everything was very clean and in working order. The deck is great and the dock was perfect with a big gazebo and kids kayaks which our small children loved. There is a road that runs between the home and the beach/dock, which did have some fast drivers so we were careful with the kids getting down to the water. The master bedroom is not a king (maybe a queen bed?) which was not in the listing, but still a comfy bed. Host was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. We would definitely rent again!

Living the good life on Sproat Lake

We felt so lucky to be able to stay at this amazing property on Sproat lake. Kris and Annie are so generous to share it with renters like us. The lake is fantastic for swimming, their dock is great for chilling, and the cabin is well-appointed with everything you might need.

Beautiful house at the lake

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful new property! In the off season, it was quiet and peaceful, cozy and comfortable - exactly the getaway we were looking for. We think it would be a lot of fun in the summer, too, and would definitely consider coming back. The house is gorgeous, especially the master suite with its balcony and fantastic lake views. The kitchen is clean and well equipped with easy-to-use high-end appliances. In the mornings we enjoyed sipping coffee in the kitchen and watching a great blue heron fish along the shore. If we were visiting at a warmer/drier time of year, the well-designed front deck would be perfect for the morning coffee (or evening wine). Our young teens loved the ping pong table and games, and the wifi worked well. The house was also supplied with paddleboards, and even though it was March we were able to paddle out on the lake and enjoy being on the water with the snow-covered mountains at either end in the distance. Gorgeous! There is a lot of great hiking nearby; for example, we went to see the Stamp River Falls at the provincial park a few minutes away. On a smaller scale, the property itself has a charming little trail along a small creek with little falls and stepping stones to get down to the lakefront. The lake water levels were high during our off-season visit, so the dock was a bit of a challenge to access, but we managed, and loved sitting out on the dock in the fresh air enjoying the views. Our hosts were lovely, and accommodated our wish for a contactless check-in even though it wasn't their standard procedure. We had a wonderful time here - highly recommended!

We found that each time we visited friends at the lake, we realized this was our happy place. And we began to dream about one day... then one day came

Properties very rarely become available for purchase on Sproat Lake, and even more infrequently come up for rental. From the moment we drove up to the house, we felt home. The house, the view, the lake, the property. It was too good to keep just to our family, with no other rentals available during the busy season until 2022.

It was truly love at first sight for us.
