Everything was perfect as described! We even had snow showers which was an unexpected delight especially for my son and fiancé who live in Sarasota, FL! We are all very grateful to have this special family time together!❤️🦃🙏
Sky Light was as advertised and more...was more beautiful than the pictures on the website. Every one in our party (ages 18-83) had a wonderful time and thought the house and location was great. Was the perfect size for our party of 9. Knew it was going to be special when we arrived and there was a Christmas tree to put our presents under!
This house was amazing! Six of us stayed there, and there was plenty of room. Everything was so nice. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the location was perfect! Since it is the week before Christmas, we thought about bringing a small tree to make the stay more festive. We were thrilled to see the huge tree they had decorated and lit up for us when we checked in. I highly recommend this property!
This home is amazing. Spacious, beautiful, clean, well stocked, and thoughtfully decorated… we did not want to leave! Kadie was responsive and accessible the entire trip. A few friends have already started planning to book the house again because of how well enjoyed it was. Thanks so much!
We really enjoyed the house and it’s wonderful location. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. Everything from check-in to check-out was great. We would highly recommend this beautiful home for families and friends!
We had the most amazing time. The home and property are beautiful. You have everything you need! Great location and restaurants! Perfect weekend Getaway!!!
Sky Light was a beautiful house with wonderful views of the sunset. The house is much prettier than the pictures. Great gathering space for our group of 7. Screened in porch was great for morning coffee and games. Firepit area is down about 40 steps but is like stepping into a woodland fairyland! Wonderful house to celebrate the year of our 60th birthdays! Hope to return soon. Highly recommend!!
Loved our stay! The house is spacious and comfortable…we loved the screen porch and the rocking chair front porch with a view of the mountains! The beds are comfortable and the decor is tasteful! The location was great, but the walk to town is more of a hike…the 500 yard walk to the trail is straight uphill and the trail is not easy to navigate for older people or young children! Other than that, the description of the house is perfectly accurate!
Great location and plenty of room. Fully stocked home with everything you would need for a gathering of 8 or more. We had a great time and the family room was large and a wonderful spot to gather for games and dinner. The back porch was also fun and we had a low country boil dinner out there enjoying the wonderful weather and view. Will come again!
We had a lovely stay with our daughter and son in law and two small grandchildren. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable, close to town and has a lovely sunset view out of the living room window. One observation is that we would have liked blackout curtains or blinds in the two hall bedrooms that also have west facing windows.
A group of us college friends reunited for the best weekend celebrating the wedding of two of our friends. The amount of space for two guys and seven girls was perfect. Plenty of extra beds, bathroom space to get ready in and a big open common space that allowed us to have great fellowship together. The convenience to town was perfect as well! Our communication with the owner was timely as well as the directions for check-in and check-out.
Quit searching VRBO - you won't find a better home in the Highlands area! Everything was absolutely perfect. The view, the furnishings, the screened porch, the yard and fire pit are beautiful. It was the perfect spot for extended family to stay for a long weekend to attend a family wedding. The rooms are spacious and the location is great. We loved the quick trail from the street the house is on down to Main Street. Everyone that stopped by raved about the home and we are already making plans to return!
We were a group of 7 women: MIL, SILs and sisters. Each of us were able to have our own bed (!!) and the layout of the house enabled both group gathering and space for quiet getaway. Can't say enough about how awesome the house was. Large kitchen and family room, nice porch, beautiful views, convenient location, short drive to trail heads, downtown shopping and dining. All agreed we'd rent it again. Kadie responded very quickly to all our questions both post- and during visit.
This is a beautiful, spacious home in a gorgeous setting! The decor is fresh and current, the bedding and linens luxurious and the outdoor space is peaceful and inviting! We hiked the easy (and beautiful) neighborhood trail to gorgeous Highlands each day; such a great benefit to this property,! We cooked in the lovely, fully stocked kitchen and sat either by the indoor fire place or by the outdoor fire pit each evening. We absolutely loved our time in this awesome home and hated to leave ! Looking forward to returning soon!
If Goldilocks was looking for a place to stay in the Highlands, this would be it--because it was "just right". Not too fancy, not too campy. Casually vogue ! Most importantly, the owners/staff were thoughtful and sincere in how the entire property was prepared and offered to you and made you feel you were at home. (You know, if your home was fresh, clean, well-apportioned and had great views!) Enjoy !
This house was perfect for our family vacation. The bunk room and loft (with an additional 2 twin beds) provided enough space for a family with children to spread out. The weather was rainy, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit, but it was lovely. The back porch has a swing that was fun to curl up on and read. The queen room is tucked away with its own bathroom, and that gave one person in our party a bit more privacy, which was great! Plenty of kitchen cookware, cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper, and paper towels - we didn’t want for anything! It was perfect for us and communication with the host was great - we’ll definitely be back!
Our family of 11 + 1 family dog, had a wonderful stay at Kadie and Clayton's Sky Light! Property has desirable location, close to Highlands, and short drive to Cashiers and Lake Glennville. Beautifully landscaped lot with front view of mountain ranges. Even though a long stairway down to fire pit in back, stairs are well lit and it is worth the climb back up. Home itself is very spacious and well equipped with modern appliances, towels (even have towels for our 4 legged family members) and sheets, and all necessary toiletry items. Owners were gracious and very prompt with responding with any questions or concerns. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return here again in the future. Thanks Kadie and Clayton for sharing your beautiful mountain home!

Nice Home, long walk to town
Nice open plan.Home had more than enough beds for our needs so didn’t even go upstairs but once to see it. Fire pit is down steep steps. No creek. 3/10ths of Mile to trail marker to Highlands, not 300 yards. Attempted to grill out one night but gas tank was low and ran out. Texted owner, hours later she responded that we could go to town and buy a tank. By then we had altered menu with out grill. I would think there would always be a back up tank with the nightly rate for this location.
