Great location, nice cabin overall but could definitely use some TLC. The only real negative was lack of cleanliness. Dirty floors, dried dog feces on carpet in one bedroom...

Birthday trip

My first time traveling and booking a cabin in Pegion Forge. I must say I was NOT disappointed. The cabin was very clean. I brought my own cleaning supplies just in case I needed to tidy up a bit but I did not have to. There were PLENTY of dishes to use if you decide to cook. The rooms were very spacious especially the master suite which is located upstairs (the only room upstairs) the remaining 4 which are located on the second and third level (two Q bedrooms on second level 2 bedrooms one including twin over queen bunk bed) both with full bathrooms. The only thing I could but shouldn’t complain about is the parking lot make sure to dodge the pot holes if your car is low to the ground other than that I will definitely book again and recommend Papa bear to anyone looking for cabin recommendations

Not clean

The view was beautiful, unfortunately thats about the only positive thing I can say about this cabin and property management company. The cabin was dirty, dirt and cob webs on the floors, long black hair all over the bathrooms, bath tub, There was a used towle in the downstairs bathroom hanging on the back of the door, several dirty knives and silverware, dirty skillet, and dirty coffee/tea cups. The upstairs king bed was very sloppy and not tucked in properly with the mattresses protector bunched up in one corner not tucked at all. There wasnt a pillowcase for one of the pillows. None of the furniture in the upstairs bedroom was as pictured online and was literally falling apart. Very disappointed with the cleanliness. We had a 6 day stay and only had 4 wash clothes in the upstairs bedroom, not many in the middle bathroom either, with 7 people staying 6 days, it was not sufficient. When i called the property management company, i was offered an apology for housekeeping. Friday during our stay the wifi went out, the man i spoke with said that he put in an order for it to be fixed and i woukd receive a message shortly with an eta. Over 3 houes later, i call back. The lady i spoke with was very understanding and said they do not give an ETA but put a rush on the order. Within just a few minutes a repair man was on his way. Unfortunately the wifi could not be fixed. We also did not have any of the outside garbage picked up and had garbage bags sitting in the kitchen for days..

Great Family Cabin

The Papa Bear Lodge was great for our family of 15 including adults, teens, youth & 2 doggies! Everyone had their own bathroom which is very beneficial! Awesome game room with a pool table, air hockey & an arcade game. We also loved the long dining table for working our puzzles! The hot tub was a hit & would be even better if a tad bigger. Great weekend had by all at Papa Bear Lodge!

Disappointing

Based on the online description and price we were expecting a clean modern, well situated accommodation. In fact it is a well used chalet, somewhat outdated( no usb for instance, run down furniture), moderately clean, poorly maintained( we were locked in when the door lock froze), in a congested development. The amenities are non existent: bring your soap and hangers. Motel 6 at a "Four Seasons " price...

Papa Bear Lodge Sept 2021

Beautiful cabin in a great location. Very easy to find. We had plenty of space for our party of 12. The view was beautiful but there was one small tree that blocked getting any good pics. However, we highly recommend.
