We Enjoyed this special quite place in the middle of nature!

In October 2022 we stayed 11 days in “le Charri” with 2 people. The house is very comfortable and has a very complete interior. Enough space. Beautiful terrace with breathtaking views of the valley and the mountains. You can even see Jeanne on the horse on the well-known "Ballon d'Elsace", with the binoculars. You can take various walks from the house. In addition, there is a lot of information about the Vosges and there are topographic maps available. Laurent and Treacle are lovely people; they make you feel at home. The vegetable service from the local market was very convenient. On arrival, the ordered vegetables, the cow's milk and the goat's cheese were already in our house. Definitely a place to come back!!

Tolles Cottage

Wir haben uns in den 14 Tagen dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und haben aus dem alten Bauernhaus eine tolle Unterkunft gemacht. Es ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll renoviert, die Ausrüstung ist vorbildhaft mit Mikrowelle, Backofen, Spül- und Waschmaschine, reichlich Töpfe und Besteck. Wir hatten Sorge, dass das Schlafzimmer ohne Außenfenster ein Problem werden könnte, aber selbst in der zweiwöchigen Hitzewelle mit 30+ Grad ließ es sich dort aushalten. Das Gebäude liegt recht einsam, so dass unser Navi es nicht gefunden hat, sondern etwas weiter unten im Tal bei den andern Ferienwohnungen meinte, wir "hätten das Ziel erreicht". Tatsächlich mussten wir der Straße aber noch weiter folgen und dem Wegweiser zum "le haut pre" folgen. Die Zufahrt ist sehr steil, soll aber (laut Vermieterin) auch im Winter gut passierbar sein. Aber die Anfahrt lohnt sich: Die Aussicht ist wirklich super. Die Lage von Rupt sur Moselle ist nicht sehr zentral in den Süd-Vogesen und für die Highlights muss man schon eine Weile fahren. Aber das ist erstens ein großer Spaß, weil die Straßen immer wieder tolle Panoramen zeigen, und zweitens vermutlich sowieso unumgänglich, wenn man viel sehen will. Also: sehr empfehlenswert.

Great holiday!

We, a Dutch couple, stayed in Le Charri for 10 days and had a marvellous time. The accommodation was perfect, very complete and comfortable, and as an extra: spectacular view over the valley. We woke up at morning while the birds were singing, with great smells of all the flowers and herbs, and had a view that was different every day. We walked almost every day in the environment (great walks, very well signposted) and enjoyed every minute of it. Treacle told us a lot about the history of the buildings and the environment, and made sure we had everything we needed. We surely recommend a stay in Le Charri to our family and friends (and other interested people)!

Ostertraum im "Le Charri"

Wir fanden schon die Bilder des kleinen Feriendomizils sehr ansprechend und waren dann vor Ort mehr als begeistert von ALLEM - die schöne Innenausstattung im Cottage-Stil, modern und dennoch rustikal und gemütlich! Mit allem, was man braucht und auch unser Hund hat sich superwohl gefühlt, sogar mit der lieben und entspannten Hündin der Gastgeber. Rundherum gibt es Natur pur, überall tun sich Wege auf zum spazieren und Ausblick genießen! Aber, man muss auch nicht weit gehen und kann ganz einfach von der Terasse aus Sonne und Blick übers Tal und die Berge genießen. Familie Pelle ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gibt auch gerne Hinweise, wie z.B. auf Ausflugsziele oder frisch gemolkene Milch in der Nachbarschaft. Genug geschwärmt, es gibt viel zu sehen und zu entdecken!! Wir kommen wieder, Dana, Inga & Theo.

FANTASTIC!!

We are from Australia & bought a house in the area but while we were getting it liveable we stayed in this beautiful very private one bedroom farmhouse for 4 weeks. It has everything you could possibly need. It has a well appointed kitchen which includes dishwasher, living room area is wonderful as it has an amazing view over the valley and a great wood fire, the bedroom has a double bed but with individual controls so you can set it to your own comfort level but there is also a daybed in the living room which I utilised and did some reading (perfect spot) and the bathroom is separate with a washing machine and a great shower (plenty of pressure and hot water) the toilet it separate and to top off the comfort level it has underfloor heating throughout the house. We also had access to wifi and ADSL port so keeping in contact with our family was easy.The couple who run this amazing property are Treacle and Laurent and they cannot do enough for you. They have been so helpful and have gone out of their way for us. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in the area. You are up in the mountains and you can't describe the views. It was snowing while we were there so the views were breathtaking.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé une semaine dans le confortable Gîte du Charri. Laurent nous a chaleureusement accueilli et indiqué les points d'intérêt de la région pour nos balades. La maison est très confortable et dispose de l'équipement complet pour des vacances reposantes au bon air :)
