Beautiful cabin!

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! The location is very secluded in the woods, which is what we were looking for. It was nice sitting on the patio & listening to the creek. The 2 bedrooms with 2 baths are on the main floor + a powder room & then there’s an open loft area with more beds. The only negative is that we weren’t allowed to use any of the fireplaces. Aside from that, the house was cozy & stocked with everything we needed for a great stay. Would come stay again!

Perfect cabin getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at “the Lodge” and hope to come back again soon! The location of the cabin is great - easily accessible, yet you feel remote. The close proximity to Tonto Creek and sound of the creek from the deck was wonderful. The cabin was well equipped with all of the cooking supplies, plates, and towels needed. The kids and adults had a blast! The owners go above and beyond to maintain the property and make you feel welcomed and fully informed on every aspect of the property. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back!!

I love the views near the cabin and the sound of the river that is near by. I enjoyed Christmas with my family. We have an amazing stay. I will love to come back but maybe in Summer to do more activities outside. Such great first experience doing this.

Heaven looks like this cabin at Tonto Creek

What a wonderful stay we had these past 10 days at this beautiful cabin home at Tonto Creek. The place was amazing, comfy, easy, restful. Owners are super responsive and it was exceptionally clean and ready to go when we arrived. Very well equipped. We will definitely return! Coiros of Ahwatukee

Gila Lodge

Nice property. Quiet and conveniently located to hiking and fishing. A bit far from Payson but not a burden. Temperatures at the lodge were 10 degrees less than Payson. Good property if you ant to get away from it all.

Amazing weekend in the pines!

60th birthday surprise

We had an amazing weekend pulling of a surprise 60th birthday for my Mom. The location of property is prestine for off road adventures. We side-by-side over 70 miles! The views of the mollogon rim were beautiful. The cabin itself is rustic and equipped with everything you need for a top of the line weekend. We pulled off a shrimp boil and grilled Carne Asada tacos. Played games and enjoyed the stars and sound of the creek below us. Ideal if you want to impress and escape. Cozy comfy and easily accessible! Thank you!

Retreat post deployment

It was a nice relaxing weekend. The home is beautiful. It was just two of us so plenty of space the outdoor patio was fantastic. You could hear the creek running, birds chirping, and squirrels frolicking! We never turned the TV on, we actually got away from COVID rants for a few days! Remarkable!!

Highly Recommend

Great location with access to many hiking trails. Perfect house, indoors and outdoors, for gathering of family and friends. We all enjoyed sitting on the large back deck and listening to the sound of the creek flowing. We will stay here again.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful area.

We had a great time visiting Arizona and staying here. The cabin was a great find on VRBO and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful cabin and had everything we needed while there for a week. We love to hike, so we went to Box Canyon nearby and swam in the refreshing water. We went horseback riding at Kohl's ranch just down the road and enjoyed that also. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to visit.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is well stocked with kitchen supplies and had everything we needed. We enjoyed that it's somewhat secluded, but close enough to Payson. It was nice to be able to getaway to the woods while still enjoying comforts such as high speed internet and streaming TV. The communication with owner was easy, and they were very responsive. Great place!

My beautiful wife, Tricia, and I's favorite thing is to get out and spend time in nature with our two dogs. However, we also love a nice bottle of wine cozied up watching a sunset or next to an open fire. So, we decided to make the two easy to do all in the same weekend and bought a cabin up among the stunning ponderosa pines outside of Payson, Arizona. Her being from North Dakota, myself from South Dakota, and after exiting active service in the Navy and meeting her in Arizona, this turned out to be a little slice of home for us out in the country. We wanted to share that experience with anyone looking for the same thing and thus, put it on VRBO so other people would be able to enjoy it too! We sure hope you do.
