ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!

This place was so well done! The attention to details did not go unnoticed from everyone in our group! It was super clean, so nicely decorated, and every detail thought about. The homemade Key Lime Pie was to die for!! The host were so easy to contact and work with!! This is a beautiful oasis in Orlando and we will be back!!!!!!

Wedding stay

We stayed for our sons wedding. There were 8 people ranging in age from 65 to 5. The house was beautiful & clean. The property was gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting by the lake & playing in the nature trails. The hosts have thought of everything you may need & then some. Pur stay was perfect.

A perfect place to greet 2025

Having rented many vacation properties over the years I can honestly say this is the cleanest best equipped property yet. The hosts have thought of everything one could ever need.The home was light, bright and scrupulously clean. We spent many hours lounging on the deck around the firepit drinking in that lakeside serenity.Hope to return one day soon.

Paradise Oasis in Orlando

This is possibly the most beautiful home I’ve had the pleasure of renting. My family and I enjoyed the serenity of the entire property. House was spacious and clean with attention down to the smallest details. You can see the love the owners have put into this house. Marty is such a great host. Quick to answer questions and will keep you informed on events in the area. House is stocked with everything you will need and more. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this place and look forward to renting it again in the future.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Marty and Flip thought of everything and really made the trip special with extra special touches of banners hanging on the gate and in the house for our anniversary and a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator. We also ordered 3 pies and all were delicious! I would definitely recommend and come back to stay.

Great propery and hosts

We stayed here for over a week. It was perfect for us. The property was great. We loved being so close to everything but not needing to feel like we were in the city. Our dogs had room to run and play outside. I would stay again for sure.

Incredible Florida Retreat!

Wonderful vacation home on a lake! Wildlife galore and the place is gorgeous! So much attention to detail and thoughtfulness from our hosts Marty and Flip. We loved, loved, loved staying here for a family wedding. And our pups did as well. Highly recommend! Oh and order the pies - delicious!!

Oasis away from home

This property has everything you could possibly need and everything is labeled so you know where things are. Marty and Flip are great hosts and can be easily reached if you have a question. The homemade pies that Marty makes are outstanding! The personal touches that went into our stay were so thoughtful. This is by far the best place we have stayed (again).

This place was amazing! Very relaxing with nice views. House was very clean and well kept. Our host was the best, she kept was up to date with everything and was very helpful!! Her pie was very delicious that we ordered it was already in the fridge waiting when we arrived. Best host you could have!! I would definitely rent this place again!

Spring Break 2023

Marty and Flip have a lovely lake home and went above and beyond with their thoughtful welcome. They provided for unexpected details that made our family Spring break getaway super special with our pets. We enjoyed the local restaurant recommendations, sunset views from the back patio, Marty's apple pie, gator watching, a Space X launch from the fields across the home and kayaking at Kings Landing. Vacation 2022

Our stay at this home was wonderful! My family of 8 adults, 2 kids, and a dog was more than comfortable! Very clean and well organized. I love that most cabinets were labeled making it easier to find items. We enjoyed the outdoor area and the view every morning and afternoon. Response from hosts was prompt and answered all my questions. We would love to return one day!

This hands down was the most beautiful place to stay! Marty is a wonderful hostess who goes above and beyond to make your stay feel like home. We stayed for parents 60th Anniversary. Had good times relaxing on the porch with beautiful views. We ordered the apple pie-DELICIOUS! Decorations were great! Another great stay

Nothing compares to this house and property. We love it here. So clean and nice. You have acres of land to roam right in the city on a lake! The major details and things you would excpect from a great rental are all taken care perfectly, but that's not all. I'm amazed every visit by the small personlized details. Marty and Flip go way above and beyond to make this a perfect stay everytime. They care about what they do and it shows.

Wedding planning getaway

House and property are amazing Marty and Flip went above and beyond with all the personal touches. Left us extra toiletries, items in the fridge, bowls for our dog and plenty of towels! So nice to check in and not feel the stress of having to buy basic supplies Our dog loved all the open land to explore! Nothing negative can be said. It is perfection! Will definitely come again!! We can’t say enough about how perfect this house is. Flawless! Our family loved every moment. The sunsets are gorgeous. Had everything we needed and things we didn’t know we needed…like pies so delicious we couldn’t stop eating them! Flip & Marty were amazing! Even thought of putting out a UK flag on the mantle for our son visiting from the UK! Can’t say enough…sad to leave.

Amazing Stay!

Marty and Flip have thought of everything! The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything you possibly could need. The lake view was beautiful and peaceful. Definitely, Marty’s pies were a huge bonus! We ordered a couple of pies from Marty ahead of time. Ended up eating one whole pie the first night because it was so good. Of course, we had to order another.one. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our holiday at the house. We will be back!

Best VRBO stay ever

Marty and Flip went way above and beyond. We booked this house last minute and when we arrived less than 24 hours after booking they had the entire home set up just for us. This house is close to everything you might need but you feel miles away from everything. The house was spotless. cleanest house we have ever stayed in. You can't see or hear any neighbors because this lakefront house sits on so much land. so peaceful. I have to mention again how the hosts went WAY above and beyond for us and from the other reviews they do the same for all guests. We booked this house again for next month just hours after arriving.

Every Attention to Detail

If you are looking to find a roomy and lovely lake front home, come to Marty and Flip’s well-appointed retreat. The house is a showcase of beautifully crafted floors, walls and ceilings, exquisitely tiled bathrooms and a kitchen equipped for every cooking challenge. The surroundings bring a sense of serenity and rest with a lot of outdoor space for your pets. And make sure you order one of Marty’s pies. We had the Apple and also the Banana Cream and they were delicious!! I would certainly love to be a guest in their home again whenever I have the opportunity. Thanks for everything Marty and Flip!

Beautiful home and location couldn't have been better!!

This oasis is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Our German Shepard enjoyed the freedom and spacious outdoors. We saw plenty of wildlife, coyotes, alligators, squirrels and so many types of birds. Mary and Flip were so considerate of our needs and communication was consistent before/during and after our stay. We are planning on returning to this beautiful oasis, it's one of the best homes we've stay at. Location is the best for days at Universal, only a 15 to 20 minute ride. Don't forget to get one of Marty's pie's, the apple pie she made for my son's 30th birthday was wonderful, not to mention all the decorations she did for him as well. It was a wonderful surprise!!

Growing up, this whole area was nothing but dirt roads and orange groves, one of which my family owned. My grandparents retired here to this land from Wisconsin in1949 and ran the grove. My parents were not far behind them and in 1950 moved here with 2 of their 5 children to start their life in Florida from Wisconsin. My parents built this home and worked the grove with my grandparents whose home was built in 1947 which is where I live now on the other end of our property.
In 2013 we found out this home was for sale and jumped on it. Sentiment mostly but having this end of the property complete again was a big factor.
As rookie rehaber’s we thought it would take us just a few months to turn this property around, lesson #1! Eight years later after totally gutting the entire home and rebuilding the sun porch with block walls among many other things, we got here. The goal was to design our home with the amenities of a new home but with the feel and comfort of a 1950s family home.
The striated plywood ceilings in the two lakefront bedrooms are original to the home. We found a manufacturer in CA. who had started reproducing it and we decided to install it on the first floor. The pine tongue and groove on the walls felt right; we just aren’t drywall people. Our lighting was a lengthy search trying to maintain a vintage look but L.E.D. updates. We chose the flooring because we love our pet’s and this is a pet-friendly home. The design of the bathrooms and vanities was again trying to maintain a vintage feel but with a bit of flair, I love Motawi Tile so we chose a feature tile for each bathroom. We are custom fabricators so we built the vanities using the Wilsonart Retro laminates, it is also used on the back walls of the kitchen.

This home is on one end of the owner's 22 acres of property. There is one quiet neighbor 100 yards away. You will have your own private driveway and parking with an automatic gate opener/keypad. Your privacy and relaxing time here is our goal but we will be available by text or phone for any questions or needs.
