“The Salty Shack” by Five Salty Souls...a haven that will take your breath away as you step out your door to the glistening emerald waters and white sandy beaches. After a long three month project, it has undergone a total renovation with no expense left out to achieve our dream of a modern beach shack vibe. From the moment you walk in the front door, we hope you are transported by the calming and cozy boho style.

This ground floor, one bedroom, 1.5 bath condo is directly on Crystal Sands Beach. Located at Crystal Sands Condominium, Unit 102 B, in the East building.

“The Salty Shack” features an open floor plan with the fully renovated kitchen and family room overlooking the gulf. There is plenty of space for everyone to be able to gather together.
The built in bunk in the hallway is composed of an upper twin bed, and the lower bed is a Double. We added an additional door in the hallway that essentially creates a second bedroom space when all the doors are closed. The “bunk room” also has a new tv to create the perfect movie nook!

The private master bedroom is equipped with a King SLEEP NUMBER bed and custom built closet and floating dresser. Beautiful rolling barn doors allow for extra bathroom space.

There is also an additional Queen pull out sofa bed available (with a thick memory foam mattress, no coils).

The kitchen features beautiful Quartz counter tops, floating shelves, and subway tiled walls. It is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and additionally, has a reverse osmosis water system to provide filtered water on those hot days!
Enjoy your morning coffee on the private patio watching the sun rise, or relax in the cozy living room after a day of fun in the sun with the complimentary cable and WIFI.

As you stroll into one of the two 1/2 baths, you’ll be greeted by the beachy stained shiplap walls and custom built floating shelves and vanities. The two half baths lare connected to each other via the tub/shower and washer/dryer room. For those who enjoy taking a hot bath, the tub features a great deep soak.

This includes 2 chairs and an umbrella.

Located in the heart of Destin, you are only minutes away from Destin Commons where you can find a plethora of your favorite shops and restaurants (including Whole Foods, Chipotle, and Bass Pro). Publix and the Tanger Outlet Mall are additionally right up the road.

5 Salty Souls is an amazing place. Open the patio door and see/hear the gulf. Southern exposure sun rises and sun sets, warmth all day. Don’t shy away from the off season in Destin. We missed the “Emerald Coast Snowstorm of 2025” by a week and were treated to a week of beautiful weather.

Beautiful condo. The renovations are all with the comfort and convenience of the guests in mind. Being so close to the beach was great. Communication from the owner was prompt and courteous. We have two young boys who can often be hard to please, but they both proclaimed this “Best vacation EVER!” I’m inclined to agree with them. Highly recommend this booking.

Salty Shack, anything but a shack!

As a Florida native, this reminded me of growing up at my parent’s beach home! Waking up & seeing the ocean, allowing my older boys to run to the beach without me, because I could see them from the porch. Hungry, no big deal, you can be inside & have a sandwich made within minutes! THIS is what being at the beach means. The idea of walking 4 blocks & crossing streets with kids, just to get to the beach, that’s not a trip to the beach. A trip to the beach is being ON the beach. Not only is Salty Shack on the beach, it’s absolute perfection! The details & love that went into the renovation are so evident! This is the perfect spot for a family, girlfriend’s trip, etc. Parking directly in front of the unit made life so easy! Restaurants, Publix, outlet shopping, beach stores are all within a few minutes. There is nothing this place lacks, thank you Peyton for sharing your beautiful beach place with us. We look forward to returning & creating more memories!!

This property has earned all of the 5 star reviews, it is even better in person! Peyton was super responsive amd attentive. The unit is very well stocked with anything you could need. Plenty of linens, cookware, even access to a broom and vacuum for all the sand that inevitably comes back with you. Beds are very comfortable. The upgardes are so well thought out, they really maximized every inch of space they could. We would love to revisit this property!! Book it, you will NOT regret it.

Absolutely Amazing!

Absolutely Amazing! This was our fifth time to visit Destin and our third time at the Crystal Sands condo. “The Salty Shack” was by far the best place we have stayed! Newly renovated, everything was so modern, clean, and nicely labeled. Of course, this is a ground floor unit that’s right on the beautiful, white sand, private beach. We love the beach chair service and only being a couple steps from going to your condo to get something to eat or use the restroom. It’s so convenient! Peyton, the owner, is very pleasant to talk to and helpful! It doesn't get any better than this! We love Destin with all of the shopping, activities, and amazing food. The best thing I can say is that we loved The Salty Shack so much that we already booked it again for next year! Don’t hesitate, book now!

A True Gem!!

My husband and I loved this rental so much! The owners really outdid themselves on every detail! We really admired the craftsmanship! First and foremost, the view and proximity to the open water was tops! Also super convenient to shopping and dining! The entire rental’s furnishings from the kitchen to the bedrooms lacked nothing! Even the cabinet door knobs were made of sea glass and so cute! We rented a golf cart and that made our trip even more fun because the weather wasn’t great and had 2 days of double red flags. Peyton was super responsive and offered great suggestions!

Though right now Texas is our home, we still cling to our original Floridian roots!

We ourselves have vacationed countless times in Destin, and were beyond thrilled this year when we unexpectedly found our own slice of paradise, and now proudly call Five Salty Souls our own. Nothing can compare to having the glistening emerald coast as your backdrop and white sand beckoning you to come have a jaunt on it! We are so excited to have the opportunity to share this incredible place with you.

What makes this property unique

Crystal Sands Condominiums is one of the rare places you will find along the emerald coast where the first floor condos are perfectly raised up, allowing you a panoramic view that you would more commonly see in a second floor unit. There is nothing blocking your view, but rather a fresh boardwalk guiding you to the sand.
