Cute Bungalow

Great place to spend a peaceful time away from home. The place was very clean and quiet. It is in the back of the complex with little disturbance. It was a nice walk to the beach and close to nearby resteraunts. The house and nicely decorated and has multiple appliances and utensils to enjoy your trip. I will definitely look to stay again.

Great place overall!

We loved the place in regards to the vibe, cleanliness, and nearness to everything. We went to some restaurants but also ate at the bungalow with groceries we got from the local Publix. What we didn't love was whenever you walk throughout the bungalow, the whole house shakes. Also, when it got really cold at night, we tried to turn the heater on which started a smokey smell, so we were afraid to use that. Wished we had brought some thicker blankets. Wi-Fi could be spotty at times, but not a deal breaker. Would still go back and stay at the bungalow for a future trip.

Beautiful private bungalow

This location is a beautiful private and secluded home only a 10 minute walk from the ocean and public beach. Our family and two pups had a wonderful time. The house is stocked with bath towels, pots and pans, dishes and glassware. Note that there are no storage containers, plastic wrap or bags, so bring your own and some extra garbage bags and toilette paper. The pool is also beautiful and well maintained with two hot tubs for use. The outside shower is located at the pool. The balcony added extra space and offered alone time throughput the day. Lots of creature sounds during the night and early morning. We loved it. Very peaceful. May want to rent some bikes or a golf cart. The walk can be very hot in the middle of the day during summer. Fishery and butcher within walking distance. Great organic coffee bar in walking distance. Grocery store is a drive and prices very high, but worth having breakfast at home on the quiet balcony or watching the sunrise at the beach. Definitely recommend and would come back tomorrow if I could!!

Great location and privacy. Good for snowbirds with pups

My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks in this unit (Feb. 4-24). Overall, it's in a great location - close to the beach and many restaurants. We rode our bikes (we brought our own) along 30A in both directions and explored the neighborhoods which was fun. Even though the pool wasn't heated, we enjoyed sitting/reading by it, and really liked the huge hottub. We liked that the complex was relatively small, and people were friendly. The unit needs some TLC outside: very dirty/moldy windows without screens, tree branches that brushed against the house during windy days, and trash in the marsh below the unit. We had a shutter that was banging into against the house in the back, but VACASA came out and took care of that right away. As a couple in their mid 60's, the stairs were not ideal, but we managed. We were grateful to find a place where we could bring our 2 small dogs also. Note that there is not a grill - even though the listing states that there is one. And while this won't be an issue in the warm months, we noticed that on cold nights, the downstairs was quite chilly. The thermostat is on the 2nd floor which makes it hard to regulate the temp downstairs. Plus, sitting on pilings over a marsh, the lower level is exposed to the cold air.

Great Getaway

The bungalow was exactly as pictured and nicely decorated. Plenty of space for me and my wife and dog. Within short driving distance to all the nearby popular spots. We walked to the beach several times which was about a 5-10 minute walk depending on pace. Would definitely recommend for a small family for a great getaway.

Avoid this unit.

Don't rent this unit. It is in a bad location in the complex, it sits over the water (swamp) and a sewer line. At times it smells like open sewer when going in and out of unit. The unit itself smells bad, especially the stairs. While on surface it appeared cleaned, this place needs a serious deep cleaning. Very dirty below surface. Also needs of repairs to windows, blinds, cabinets and washing machine. It has some kind of electrical problems where lights don't work, then do work, then don't again and lights that come on bright, then dim, then bright, the dim again. No cable tv working in upstairs bedrooms, down stairs the TV lost cable HD channels, then all cable, then internet connection so tv didn't work at all. The management company had to come 3 time during our 7 night stay, twice for TV (they were able to get internet back and then somehow cable came back) and once to open air conditioning vents that were closed. Overall, Vacasa was very responsive, super friendly and helpful but this unit seems to have been neglected for some time. There are far better bungelows to rent, even if you pay a little more, get a unit in better condition.

Good value in Santa Rosa Beach!

Good value rental in an area of Florida where it's becoming more and more difficult to find. Vacation home was clean and everything was functional. My wife, daughter, dog, and I stayed and the house was more than enough room for all of us. The community pool was very nice and convenient from all the community properties. House #128 is the furthest from the community entrance. We had a golf cart, so no issue for us, but the walk from the house to the beach would have been a bit much for us. Especially if carrying beach equipment. A beach entrance is located right across the street from Somerset Bridge Rd, which was very convenient, but please know that you will need to walk 200 feet to the left of the beach entrance to get to a public part of the beach. House #128 is in the back corner, with a small body of water and nature behind it. The sound of frogs and other critters is pretty loud in the evenings. Felt a bit like white noise to me, but did cause some issues for the light sleepers in the family. I assume other units closer to the entrance would not have quite the volume. Took us a couple of loads in the washer to figure out that the washer will automatically stop prior to the rinse cycle and must be manually positioned to rinse. It will then automatically finish the cycle. Cleans just fine though. One thing we would improve is a faint smell of sewage in front of the house. May have just been while we were there, but was definitely noticeable when leaving or arriving at the house. Overall, a quality rental house and good value for the area. Vacasa made the process to check in and out very easy.

Seagrove Bungalow

Property was just as described. Bungalow property was well maintained. Pool was nearby and clean. We rented a golf cart which provided quick access to beach. Only issue we had was we could not get the main TV to work. Corresponded with the property manager, but was never successful in getting TV to work. Weather was nice so we were at pool or beach most of the time so this was not a big deal.

Great little beachside bungalow

We had a great stay at the Bungalows of Seagrove! A few things about the rental: While not on the beach, the bungalows are very close to the beach access (right at the end of the street, maybe .25 miles). We mostly spent our time at the beach, but having the shared pool/hot tub was a surprisingly great bonus for in the evenings. While not huge, the bungalow exceeded our expectations. Five adults and three dogs, and we were comfortable. The place was nice and tidy. Beds weren't the most comfortable, but really not bad. Loved the little shared balcony (although also not very big. The area is great. Only a short drive (or longish walk) into watercolor, which has a very nice vibe. One note - the beach RIGHT at the bottom of the stairs of the closest access point is 'private'. It's a public access point, but you had to walk a little (very short, maybe 300 feet?) down the beach to the public area where you can set up your own stuff. Beach was very nice with great water! The private beach spot is really no big deal (and obviously no fault on the rental), just was a little surprised by it. Overall a great spot, would be perfect for a family and we loved it for our little group (dog friendly is HUGE plus!).

Cute and Cozy, but…..,

Great location and easy access to the beach. Updated and nice decor. This bungalow sits on the marsh-like water, which is not advertised. We visited in mid-May, so could’ve been the season, but the frog sounds beginning at sundown and lasting through the night could be heard well inside our bungalow. The noise was intense and seemed almost deafening at times. This, along with the next door construction noise and excessive noise from painters during the day, robbed us of any quality sleep and vacation peace we were looking for. The structure at times would sway, feeling the bed or chairs moving back and forth was unsettling. The pool is nice. None of the bungalows have back doors, back patios, or decks, which seemed a little odd but ok on ours as the view would’ve been marsh. Vacasa did a less than adequate job rectifying issues - dirty, molded shower curtain liners, rusted shower curtain rods, dripping faucets, and full-size rug rolled up against the bar seating in our way. They did replace the liners. Nothing else completed. If you decide this development is the place for you, I’m sure another bungalow away from the water would give you a better experience.

Perfect beach house

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. This was our first time staying on 30A and such a cool, chill little town. It was very convenient to the beach, food trucks and cute shops in the town center. The neighborhood was quiet. South Walton is much less touristy. We didn't use the pool as the weather was pretty chilly during our visit. As for the house, it was so cozy and comfortable for my family of 4. The king bed was comfortable. I usually have a hard time sleeping my first night in a new place but not here! My daughters loved the bunk beds. We were also very pleased with communication from Vacasa. They reached out to us via email, text and called us on our first morning to see if we needed anything. This property was perfect for our family getaway.
