Not Clean / Neglected Property

Great location. Easy walking distance to N Bishop. Ad photos are outdated and misleading, though. They must have been taken years ago. Outside looks great, but interior has clearly been neglected, receiving the minimum possible care to keep things technically functioning.

Nice little loft

My wife and I were in town for 1 night so we rented one of these lofts. The location had a small private parking lot so our vehicle was not parked out on the street. Our loft was nice and clean. This building was located within walking distance of several places to eat and some night life. Room was very open and spacious. Good views and bed was comfortable. The only reason i did not give it 5 stars was because of the Ac situation. When we got arrived and there was a portable ac unit already running set at 65°f. The room temp was holding at 78 degrees. Apparently these rooms share 1 thermostat so who ever is in the room that has the thermostat controls multiple rooms. They do have a small portable ac unit in the room to help but even with the unit set at 62°f our room never got lower than 73°f. Thank God the temps out side dropped into the 60's cause before night fall our room would not drop below 78°f. So neither me nor my wife slept very well because of the elevated temps in the room. I was on the ground floor or else i would have just opened the windows cause it felt amazing outside.

TX/OU weekend trip

Property was located in a nice and fun area and close to cottonbowl stadium for TX/OU game which is why we selected it. However, the inside of the place was dirty, coffee mugs were dirty, lamp didn’t work/wasn’t plugged in and no outlet nearby to plug into, refrigerator didn’t work, after pulling refrigerator out it was discovered it wasn’t plugged in, trash can in bathroom which was the only trash can in the room was rusted and dirty, the signal for the tv which was connected to a Roku was in and out the entire time and froze up constantly to where you couldn’t watch anything no matter which streaming service we were logged into. I also am owed money for the stay after requesting a date change within the dates set in the properties policy for receiving a refund or cancellation. Property manager has put me off and has told me numerous times he’d check on it after I provided supporting documentation two times and after weeks of requesting my money he still has yet to refund my money to me. I have also had to reach out to Vrbo directly for assistance. Would not stay here again, I would stay in the area but at a different spot.

Nice, New, and Clean

Enjoyed my stay, it was the perfect location and accommodations for Bishop Arts. The only issues I faced was the internet connection, it seemed the the signal would go in and out a lot while we were streaming movies. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

Nice area with parking

This was good for our short stay. It could be cleaned a little more thoroughly but overall it was good. I appreciate the parking lot and the binder with local recommendations. There was lots of space for storage if you wanted to unpack and stay awhile. With a little refresh I think this could be 5 stars.

Needs a little TLC

The only thing that was troublesome is, it stated you'd be charged a fee if their was a cleanliness issue. The shower curtain had black mold on it, the headboard attached to the wall had long standing dust on it, shower hooks rusted, brown spots near the light switch by the bed, had to slam the door for it to close & no light switch on the lamp. It serves it's purpose, but not for the price point. The staff was quick to respond, but the email reminder for check out stated it was at 11am, then directly below it said you had to check out before 11am. I asked twice about an early check in, but all I got was a we'll let you know.

Great quick Dallas stay

My daughter and I were in town for a competition in the city. This location is PERFECT!. Not only is it less than 10 minutes from the city it’s just a short walk to all the Bishop Arts District has to offer. Countless food and shopping options. I appreciated the quick access to breakfast and coffee on early mornings. The rental was the perfect size for us, clean, excellent communication with the staff, reserved parking spot and as I mentioned before close to everything! Will 100% look to stay here again.

Great place just needs better A/C

We loved staying in here in Bishop Arts. The place is cute and clean and comfortable. We had the same issue as a previous renter; the A/C is controlled in another unit, and it was warm and humid in our apartment. There was a supplemental A/C unit, but it was not cooling properly. Other than that, it's a great place!

Great Quick Getaway Spot

This location was a block away from the Bishop Art shops. We were surrounded by great food, music, and artwork! A quick hop over the bridge and we were downtown Dallas. The room was as advertised. The room got a little chilly at one point, but there were some fan/heaters that we could turn on to stay comfortable - that unit isnt able to control the main temp. The room is the downstairs unit, by the road. So, it did get noisy for a little bit. If the tv was on, it wasnt a problem. My fiance and I are easy going, so the noise wasn't enough to bother us. You have your own off-street parking spot (it is a little tight, but everyone made it work!). It was clean and comfortable! If you havent explored the Bishop Arts District- It's a must!!

Great Area, Okay Place to Stay

Clean and very convenient spot with just a few annoyances. Apparently AC in this unit is controlled by another unit. The indoor cooler does not move the needle. The washer and dryer are just outside the door (which i assume is the reason they give you earplugs.) A bedside lamp was not working and the wifi is pretty spotty. Together, not enough to sour our trip, but trying to give an honest review.

Nice Place But Poor Customer Attention

The check in process was really bad. We nevwr received the code to get into the unit via email as promised. We had to call while waiting out in the cold night to get the code to enter. We also found that someone parked in our parking spot (an issue given that the sign says that if you park in the wrong spot, your car will be towed away). Upon entering the property, it appears that someone had a last minute shower and possibly more in our bathroom as the place was wet and there were small pieces of toilet paper on the floor). Lastly, the WiFi network and password were not provided. After emailing the property manager, a network name without passwords were sent to us! Ridiculous! This was still not sorted out by our second night which happened to be when a tornado hit Dallas! We requested a modest refund of $50 in light of the above but were turned down. Bottom line, nice place and location. Terrible customer service. I would not recommend staying there.

Gateway to Dallas Cool

You know how every big city has that one special place with a hip vibe created by a blend of eclectic people, trendy mom-and-pop shops, and cool bars and taverns? For Dallas, it is the Bishop Arts District, with a stunning view of downtown but without the crush of traffic. The Bishop Arts Hotel Studio 1 is literally at the head of the district. If you walk out and turn left, all of Bishop Arts is immediately before you. As a result, you may get some bass reverb leaking into your room at night, but nothing that a noise machine or noise app can't knock down. The room we stayed in was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a choice of pillows, a refrigerator and plenty of closet space. We parked in the back and had no further need of our vehicle for the weekend. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the district.
