We enjoyed our stay so much. Regina is an amazing host and gave us wonderful recommendations. This apartment was perfect for a weekend family getaway. Beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. Just like a home away from home!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It is close to Damascus VA as well as Abingdon. We will have to return to take in the Creeper trail. The hosts were wonderful.
Regina and Stan's place was perfect for a restful vacation to Abingdon. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and was visually pleasant. Regina and Stan were kind and hospitable, and they were available if we needed anything. Plus, the cake was delicious! If we are ever in the area again, we'd love to come back!
Wonderful people and wonderful place!!! We plan to book again as soon as possible. This get away will definitely be a annual event for our our family. I hope to plan more family events with them. We had a unique situation and they were so caring and considerate of our situation. Thank you!
My husband and I came up to ride the Creeper Trail (so much fun!). The apartment was just perfect, and Regina and Stan were the best! The apartment is about 10 mins from Abingdon and 20 mins from Damascus in a quiet, beautiful area. All of the kitchen basics were available, and the bed was really comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we come to Abingdon. The pound cake Regina left for us was delicious!
The apartment is very quiet and comfortable, and the best equipped we have found, including a washer and dryer and even an assortment of spices. We were disappointed to see that it is not "on the river" as advertised, but rather across the street and quite a ways away, so the view was not what we had hoped for.
The location and accommodations worked very well for us. We had a wonderful chocolate cake waiting for use in the kitchen,. Everything we needed was provided. We spent time in Abingdon, visiting the restaurants each evening (reservations needed). We drove out to "Big Falls" a 20 minute drive from our location and a 1.25 beautiful hike and a good swim. We drove the other direction to Damascus and did the Creeper Trail.. A Perfect get a way.
My husband, myself, and our dog Dude really enjoyed our stay! The home was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked! With beautiful flowers and decor to give it a very homey feel. Check in was simple and we where very pleased to find a lovely homemade cake and even some treats for our dog upon our arrival! Location was quit and easy to find, only a short drive into town making for a nice spot to relax. We would love to stay here again! Also I cant describe just how tasty that cake was lol if in doubt of staying here let the cake make the decision for you haha I promise its worth it!
Lovely upstairs apartment with lots of amenities, just a short drive from Abingdon. Regina was wonderful. We enjoyed meeting and feeding her goats. The only real drawback was that it was very hot outside and the 2 portable air conditioners in the apartment had a hard time keeping the space cool. We also were somewhat disappointed that the apartment wasn't actually on the river, as the name of the posting implies, but that was okay. Overall, it was a great place.
Beautiful area of VA. Cute and comfortable apartment just outside of Abingdon. The host is very accommodating and a real treasure!! We enjoyed the beautiful colors of the mountains, and the creeper trail was awesome. Thankyou Regina for helping to make our get a way something to re.ember!!
A cute cozy cabin. In a good location, only a short drive to Abingdon or Bristol. Host made a delicious chocolate Bundt cake. Clean, had everything you’d need. Was not able to see the river from the property but had a cute back deck to enjoy the country peacefulness.
Regina is a very gracious host. The apartment was cozy. A little small for the three adults we had but we certainly made it work! Very nice quiet location. Enjoyed drinking my coffee outside listening to the sounds of nature. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would stay here again!
Can’t recommend enough. Really great space with real (not Ikea) furniture. More comfortable than my apartment. Beautiful area. Goats! And a wonderful host. Regina treated us like family and gave us homemade salsa and a cake! It was hard to leave. 100 stars.
The property is adorable, cozy, and clean. The host, Regina, has thought of everything you need for an enjoyable stay. A chocolate bundt cake, home made from a family recipe, was absolutely delicious, and a sweet surprise when we arrived. The stay was like being hosted by a family friend. Will definitely stay here the next time we are in the Abingdon area!!
We had a great stay while we were visiting friends who live in town. The house was very clean, the outdoor space peaceful and quiet, and the hosts left us an amazing cake! Thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend! The only suggestion would be to describe how to get to the property a little better. Google maps told us to go much farther down the road so we spent a solid 15 minutes going up and down the road in the dark. Even just some color reflectors at the driveway would be nice!
Quiet, rural setting. Beautiful plants indoor and out. Great base camp for exploring Abingdon, Bristol, the Virginia Creeper Trail, and Grayson Highlands. Regina and Stan are delightful hosts. Spoiled us with home grown tomatoes and a delicious chocolate cake.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The apartment was charming, welcoming, spotless, and was equipped with everything you would need. We had a homemade cake on the counter which was delicious! All natural bar of soap in the bathroom that I need more of!! Everything about the place was top notch and we loved playing with the goats outside!

Beautiful new apartment! Impeccably decorated and very private! Very well stocked with everything you need and even a delicious dessert was waiting for us. Owner was attentive and really nice!
This place was great. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place or better hosts. It had everything we needed and more. It is a beautiful setting and just a short drive to Abingdon.
