A few more tid-bits...  :)
1.  Trained service animals are welcome!  Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy.  We can help arrange lodging for your pets (as long as they are up to date on shot records which must be provided) at a local boarding facility during your stay, if you'd like; just give us a call...way in advance as they fill up fast!

2.  The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system.  This system is a finely balanced biological system.  Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper.  Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

3.  Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves.  Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!).

4.  Culverts & Bridges:  Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts.  Appearances can be deceiving!

5. Security Camera Disclosure:  We take your privacy very seriously.  However, this home may be monitored by exterior security cameras.  The cameras do not record sound.  Please let us know if this is an issue with your party for any reason.

Spectacular Location

The house was beautiful. The location was even better. We stay at Gaston often and like the north/east quadrant. It is 10 minutes from Eatons Ferry which has marina, resturants, ABC store, Jenny Cakes ( which has fantastic baked goods), Food Lion, and Lake Gaston's only gym. I love the location of this house. Very deep water at the boat dock, expansive views, and not too much boat traffic even on the weekends. The house itself was very nice. 6 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The kitchen was a tiny bit small if you do alot of cooking. But hey, you are on vacation, so you shouldn't be doing alot of cooking! Plenty of space inside to chill with the upstairs living room, the basement living room, and the renovated garage game room but to be quite honest, we spent day and night at the boat dock! I wish they could change a few of the beds to kings because I am spoiled and like sleeping with lots of room. Overall, I would recomend this house to everyone!!!

The only thing lacking was gas in the gas grill.

The only thing lacking was gas in the gas grill. We wanted to grill burgers and dogs, but the gas was empty, and we didn't want to call for help when we were hungry. Tom and Les were great to work with and responded promptly to concerns.

Thanksgiving blessings 2021

After a year and a half, we wanted to have a great get away with our grandkids and children. Covid had impeded visits and after reading about Grandview Lodge, we knew we would be in a safe, well cared for environment. We were not disappointed! Everything was immaculate. The home is lake front and the scenery is spectacular from sunrise to sunset. All details are cared for by the rental agency. All questions were handled efficiently and timely. Our grandchildren had much to do in the game room and outside. The kitchen is well stocked! Wi-Fi is great! Each of us had adequate space for rest and relaxation ! 5 adults and 3 children enjoyed the Thanksgiving getaway!

This home is absolutely perfectly appointed as a vacation rental, great neighborhood and location.

This home is absolutely perfectly appointed as a vacation rental, great neighborhood and location. Well decorated with nice indoor and outdoor furniture. We wish we could have used the boat lift for our jet ski. The boat house is generously stocked with water toys (paddle boards, kayak, canoe, water mat, etc). Excellent rental home!! Our call for maintenance was not returned and when I called to confirm the reservation, the representative who took the call seemed inconvenienced by my request to confirm my reservation and to ask when we would receive the house entry code.

Beautiful well appointed main lake home

The home is in a very nice neighborhood on the main lake near the Lake Gaston Dam. Being on the main lake and on a corner of an inlet there is a lot of boat traffic that comes close to the dock sometimes causing waves and choppy water. The boat house is very nice with a variety of water toys included. The extra boat lift can not be used by guests, but there is room to tie up a small boat or jet ski (but there is a lot of wake). A marina is close by for gas. There is a public boat launch a few miles away. The view from the main family room is excellent as well as the front top deck and screened in porch. The house is well furnished inside and out, and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook large meals. Using both the island and table we sat 10 for dinner. Local restaurants are very crowded with long waits (understaffed). Most of the mattresses and bedding are acceptable but not great, and one lower level bedroom has a very uncomfortable mattress and some bad, crinkly, cheap pillows. There was a broken well pump in the lake house that ran all week long and we informed the management company (Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals) and they did not return our calls and never came out to fix the pump (the owner needs to replace or repair the pump). The garage is full of fun toys and activities including ping pong and foosball . Our family including grandparents, teens, and adult children enjoyed our week at this upscale home. We spent most of our time floating, jet skiing, paddle boarding, and sitting on the dock.
