We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Swimming was great. Very comfortable and no problem with flies or mosquitoes.. Would definitely want to rent this place again.
The cottage was nice, cute and clean great to sleep up to 2 people. The bathhouse was clean a bit cluttered with the water tanks but it was clean. The bunkhouse could have been a better. Garbage was not emptied and some items should have been in a shed not where people slept. The bunk beds were nice but the futon should be replaced. The place had plenty of outside room and was quiet and not real close to neighboring properties or close to the road if you have small children.
I personally enjoyef my stay the only downside is bunkhouse didnt have a ceiling fan. No airconditioners but the set up is nice. The water was a bit to choppy for swimming but was beautiful to see in the morning and evenings. There is ample parking and enough yard for my littles to play safely from the road. The owner was pleasant and called to check on us to make sure we settled in good. I would stay here again thankyou!
We left our 5 night stay after the first night! The place was filthy, refrigerator dirty, and bathroom building very unclean. Difficulty closing and securing the front door. No outdoor light to the bathroom building. Extremely disappointing.
"Rustic" is a good word to start with, we are a family who camps so this fit us very well. You should expect bugs and forest creatures to visit you at this location. We saw deer and other wonderful forest life all around us, and we loved our stay. Please remember that the bathroom/shower is not part of the main building. I overlooked that when I booked but that is my fault not the owners. The weather was perfect during our stay and we enjoyed the waterfront, the fire pit and the cabin. When I booked this the map showed it much closer to Dexter than it is, but I loved the area and friendly neighbors. This cabin was great for us and we are very thankful to the owner who was very responsive to our needs. He truly cares about your comfort while you stay here. I stay here again if I am fortunate enough to return to upstate NY. Thank you for everything!
