About this property

Rustic Charm on Lake Hartwell

Shortly after the lake was built, my parents constructed this glass and wood beam summer home in 1966. The view of Big Water is breathtaking. The house is open concept, with a newly renovated kitchen, recently renovated bathrooms and spacious laundry. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it easily accommodates 10-12 adults and children, 6-8 adults only. Perfect for family gatherings, fishing groups and Clemson fans. Private dock with swim platform, power and one covered slip is also available. Wrap around porches give you the most beautiful views on the lake with lots of seating and dining possibilities.

Game Day Getaway

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we booked it again for our game day girls’ weekend. The house is great, the property is beautiful, and the hosts are so accommodating. We hope to make staying here for a game weekend a yearly tradition. Highly recommend.

Great house with amazing views!

We have stayed at this house multiple times and absolutely love it! Very spacious with great kitchen for entertaining and the porch is lined with rocking chairs to take in the breathtaking views. We will be back!

Awesome lake weekend

Fishing trip/ vacation

Great As Always

This has been the 3rd summer our family has vacationed at the Lakehouse! As always, we couldn’t be more happy with the WHOLE experience of relaxation when we are there! We can’t get enough of the panoramic views, boat rides, fishing, dock swims, cookouts, etc. ALL the fun things and more! Mrs. Louise is such a kind, courteous host who checks to make sure all is well. We are already excited about next summer😉

Absolutely amazing lake house

We have stayed at many vacation homes on Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell and this one ranks at the top with our family. The house is the perfect lake house. From sitting on the rocking chairs on the expansive porch in the morning or evening enjoying the lake views and deer, to the dock that is in a quiet cove, this house was perfect for our family of 4. The host was super helpful with any requests we had and the neighbors were also very nice and friendly (as they went above and beyond to try and help us when we had boat issues with our boat). Louise and Ernie were the most friendly and gracious hosts. We will be back.

This was absolutely one of our most favorite rentals! The house is very charming and the view is spectacular. We spent so much time on the spacious deck just admiring the lake and property grounds. Jaw dropping view

Amazing historical house with modern upgrades that easily accommodated our family of seven (with beds to spare) and an expansive great room to feed (two refrigerators) and entertain (games galore) the the rest (10) of our family who were staying close by. Dropped jaws was a frequent countenance from the million dollar view of Lake Hartwell. A fresh cut grass lawn welcomed our games of badminton and corn hole. The dock, situated on a quiet cove, had enough decking to provide easy access to the lake. The gracious hostess couldn't have been more helpful. A perfect long weekend even with a brief downpour that ended with a rainbow.

Mid-Century Panoramic Stunner

Hand's down the most beautiful property we've ever rented. Well cared for mid-century home overflowing with charm, and furnished with every amenity you could hope for. GORGEOUS panoramic lakeside views on an expansive property made us feel like we had the lake to ourselves. Our hosts were very responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome. Definitely on the return visit list!

Gorgeous View

This location is absolutely stunning. I was looking for a place on the lake where i could surprise my husband on his 70th birthday with a small party. I realized right away I had chosen the right location driving in and saw about 12 deer in the woods behind the lake house. The panoramic view of the lake from just about every area in the house would be enough; however, sitting outside in one of the several rocking chairs on the wrap around porch is another. There's nothing like summertime in the South listening to crickets chirping and a glass of sweet, iced tea. This place doesn't disappoint on any level. From the serene location to the large, boat dock, you are covered. There was plenty of sitting and sleeping room keenly decorated. Everyone who came was asking "how on earth did you find this place"? That says it all. We will book again for another amazing stay with our family. Louise was a wonderful hostess.

Beautiful property!

We had an amazing time in this lake house. The inside is so open and all of the windows make it so bright and fun. We rented a pontoon boat and went swimming off the dock as well. Everything was clean and there’s plenty of sleeping room. We’ll be back!

We had a lovely stay at this property celebrating friends and family. Furry friends not a problem. The beds were super comfortable and quality sheets and towels are up to my standards! New bathrooms are really nice and the extra refrigerator is convenient! Thank you for a well stocked kitchen and access to the laundry room. Needless to say the view is wonderful. So peaceful watching the deer and boats. I’d love to know more history. We will be back. I would volunteer to clean windows 😇

Lovely Lake House

We traveled to Lake Hartwell for a high school fishing tournament and needed a place to accommodate our small group. We got so lucky when we found this house. Beautiful secluded property right on the lake with all the amenities we needed. I’m definitely planning a return trip! Louise was very helpful and answered all our questions - the perfect host!

Absolutely the best place on Lake Hartwell

This place has it all!! Beautiful house, boathouses, large deck for grilling or coffee drinking, clear lake to swim in and lots of land to watch deer and geese. The owners are amazing and such sweet people. We had the most amazing time and won the 12u Dixie World Series while we were there!!

Vacation Bliss

Our stay at "Rustic Charm" was beyond our expectations. If able to give a "10 Star" we would! The location in itself is worth the stay. What you see in the provided pictures doesn't do the location/home justice. Fabulous is an understatement. We had plenty of room to accommodate our party of 5. The house EASILY sleeps 10-11. In regards to amenities - everything you think of is there. You can literally just bring your groceries and NEVER leave. However, if you forgot something and it isn't in the pantry already, the grocery store is 5 minutes down the road. We brought our family dog and he had just as much fun on this vacation as we did! Our parents and in-laws drove down to join us for dinner one night and were delighted with the lake-house style. This 1960's home has withstood the test of time, with it's original laminate floors, mill beam structure and color schemes you are transported back to a simple era, yet all the modern conveniences of today with stainless steel appliances, WiFi, satellite TV, etc make your time there so enjoyable. The communication with the property owner was excellent. Can you tell - we LOVED our stay! WE WILL BE BACK:)

Perfect lake retreat

My husband, MIL, 8 year old niece, toddler and our dogs had a wonderful time staying here. We rented a pontoon at Big Water Marina, which is very close, and used the dock a ton. The place has a perfect open floor plan. And the kitchen is not only super cute/retro but also has everything you need to cook full family meals. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked well love that there is a separate fridge in the laundry room.
