A lovely week in Vence

My husband and I had a lovely week in Vence staying at this property. We had some questions for the owner before we arrived (as the property listing was removed from the website and we had no idea about check-in process etc) and they weren't answered until we asked Home Away to help. But once we arrived everything was great - the studio was exceptionally clean, the sofa bed the comfiest I've ever slept on and the views were spectacular! The property is further out of Vence than we gathered from the listing (30 minute walk, plus more heading home as it's all uphill and steep!) but we actually quite enjoyed the walk. But just something to be aware of. Be sure you hire a small car if you come as the roads are very narrow! There was only one toilet roll, bin bag and dishwasher tablet for the week so we ended up buying more ourselves (plus a bottle opener and lighter for the BBQ) so less amenities available than we're used to at previous properties. We also had to ask for hand wash and a cloth to wipe down the kitchen. I'm not sure if this is standard but again something to be ready for if you're staying for a longer duration. We were asked on the second last day to leave a 45 euro cleaning fee but Home Away advised us all payments should be made via them and recommended we did not leave any additional cash. Overall though a nice comfortable base to spend a week!

Traumhafte Lage über den Dächern von Vence

Man kann allen positiven Bewertungen nur beipflichten, diese Wohnung liegt traumhaft schön über den Dächern von Vence. Von unserer Terrasse konnten wir die Küste von Nizza bis nach Antibes sehen und wir genossen es im Freien zu Frühstücken und zu Essen. Ein Schlafsofa und kein Bett, wir waren skeptisch? Aber alle Befürchtungen waren ganz umsonst, das Bett ist bequem und mit 1,60 Meter breit genug. Die ganze Wohnung war sehr sauber, die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher wurden nach einer Woche ausgetauscht. Der Pool ist wunderschön, es gibt zwei verschiedene Liegen und zwei Sonnenschirme. Alles wird regelmäßig gesäubert. Die ganze Anlage ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und man fühlt sich von Carine und ihrer Familie bestens betreut. Überhaupt hat der Charme und die Gastfreundlichkeit der Gastgeberin und ihres Ehemannes sehr zum Wohlfühlen beigetragen. Auch wir haben einmal überraschend morgens ein Baguette und zwei Croissants vorbeigebracht bekommen. Es gibt kabelloses Internet und ein Fernseher, den wir allerdings nicht benötigten. In einer Mappe bekamen wir von der Gastgeberin Tips für Ausflüge und Restaurants.Die Beschreibung der Ausstattung traf zu, wir haben nichts vermisst. Ohne Auto allerdings würden auch wir diese Wohnung nicht empfehlen, da die Ruhe und die wunderbare Aussicht natürlich mit einer Fahrt von etwa 5 Minuten bis zum Bäcker erkauft wird. Uns hat es nicht gestört, wir waren nach den Tagesausflügen immer glücklich in unsere ruhige Oase zurückzukehren. Thomas (53 Jahre)

Traumhaft schönes Appartement

Schon beim Ansehen der Fotos haben wir uns in die Ferienwohnungen verliebt. Da wir etwas Platz haben wollten, haben wir uns für eine der beiden größeren Wohnungen (Olivette) entschieden. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war hochwertig und sehr sauber. Besonders gut hat uns das Schlafzimmer gefallen, das Zugang zu einem Balkon hat, der einen tollen Panoramablick über den Küstenstreifen von Cap Ferrat bis Antibes bietet. Die Vermieterin wohnt im Nachbarhaus, hält sich aber sehr zurück, war immer sehr freundlich und hat uns einmal sogar mit Croissants vom Bäcker überrascht. Alles in allem ein tolles Urlaubsdomizil, das sich - aus unserer Sicht - aber nur empfiehlt, wenn ein eigenes Auto zur Verfügung steht, da das Haus etwas abgelegen am Berg liegt - sehr schön ruhig und mit wunderschöner Aussicht! Wir haben den Aufenthalt jedenfalls sehr genossen.

Idealer Ausgangspunkt um Ausflüge in die Berge, mittelalterliche Staedtchen, Richtung Nizza und Monacco etc. zu machen. Wir waren sogar in St Tropez und dem Massif de l ' Esterel. Alles fahrbar. Gorge du Loup ist auch sehr schön fuer eine Wanderung. Der Blick vom Bett aus ein Traum, die 1 Zimmer-Wohnung war wirklich einiges größer als erwartet und das Schlafsofa mega bequem. Besser als viele Hotelbetten. Der Garten ist toll angelegt und alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Kann ich also komplett und zu 100% weiterempfehlen! Würde wieder hinfahren!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Sehr geschmackvoll!

Wir verbrachten hier eine traumhaft schöne Woche! Parkplatz unterm Olivenbäumchen, private, nicht einsehbare Terrasse mit grandiosem Blick über die Cote'd Azur. Sogar vom Bett aus kontten wir nachts diesen Blick geniessen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet im provenzalischen Stil. Die Vermieterin Carinne und ihr Mann Serge sind sehr nette Leute. Sie sprechen gut english und sind beide sehr herzlich und wohnen auch dort im Nachbarhaus. Man kann den schönen Pool benutzen, der auf einer Terrasse liegt, ebenso mit diesem grandiosen Blick. Alles war sauber und hat funktioniert. Jederzeit wieder. Ich kann es nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen!
