This property was great! Weekend with the guys fishing and hanging out at Raystown Lake and Gobbler's Roost. We stayed Thursday through Sunday and spent most of each day on the lake, but spent the mornings and evenings at the cabin. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners each day using the well stocked kitchen as well as hanging out outside playing Cornhole and being around the camp fire. The cabin is secluded and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We hope to come back again!
When I leave a review I like to be as detailed as possible, both good and bad. The truth is I really can’t say anything bad about this property. I did give the online description four stars but that’s only because it doesn’t do it justice. The accommodations are actually better than what is shown in the photos.
Many people complain that the water on site is unusable, the truth is it’s well water and decent at that. Good pressure and actually pretty good for coming out of a well, not very hard at all. A slight odor but that’s expected from a well source. If you’ve never had a well or used well water before it might be an issue for you.
It’s remote but not that far away from civilization, no neighbors and the next closest property is well over a quarter mile away. There is cell service at the site but it is limited, it’s still enough to make calls if needed.
Overall an outstanding experience, one caveat if you’re planning to rent here. You WILL need four wheel or all wheel drive. The access is very steep.
The rental was super clean and had everything you could possibly need. We had a fun weekend!! Thank you!!
But beware, if you do not have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive, you may not make it to the property . My niece’s husband had to drive their mini van backwards up the drive way because she only had front wheel drive on the minivan. It kept sliding backwards.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this property. The location is great and quiet. Property owner is very prompt with responses. Will definitely book again!
Property was well maintained and had everything we needed. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time. The shower was amazing!! Thank you!

No drinkable water.
I felt it was over priced.
The oven door wouldn't close.
The kitchen
I couldn't find measuring cups.
The measuring spoons weren't maked.
The toaster was really slow.
The microwave left extreme hots spots and cold spots in the same dish. Even after a good stir mouths got burned.
On a good note!
The children loved the pool table in the basement. And my husband loved the gas grill.
Perfect secluded location to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! Just a short drive to raystown lake for all its recreational opportunities. We will definitely be renting again
Great place for a weekend getaway! Cool property, clean and more spacious then I thought. Thank you!!
