We were visiting family in the area and this was the perfect “home” base. The cabin was immaculate. It IS small, but perfect as we were running around all over most days. The neighborhood is quiet and we even had some friend neighbor dogs that came to visit each day. We had bonfires and enjoyed the view. All in all just perfect.
Nice little cottage to stay for a couple nights. Description is deceiving. Cabin is located in the front side yard of the main house. Would have to share yard and fire pit with the main house renters and cabin does not have a view of the water. But for the price it is good. There is access to the water for Kayaking. We would return since it was so clean.
We are frequent visitors to the Newberry, Copper Harbor and Ontonagon areas, but this was our first trip to this side of the UP that wasn't a weekend at Straits SP.
The owner sent an AMAZING list of what to expect and what she expected a week or so before our trip, which I appreciated tremendously.
We tend to pack as much adventure into our trips as possible because every area of Michigan has so much to offer and explore. We often look for a place that's small and simple that is clean, has a comfy bed to sleep on and a warm shower in the morning. This cabin fit our needs perfectly.
Just what we were looking for for a quiet and restful few days.

A beautiful location with a great view from the lakeside. Drive 30 minutes east to Drummond Island Ferry, or 30 minutes north to Sugar Island Ferry. The Les Cheneaux island area is beautiful in its own right as well. The cabin was clean and cute and had everything needed for a long weekend stay. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! I would definitely recommend this location as a reasonable priced stay in a beautiful area. We even enjoyed watching the freighter and train from the gravel mine across the bay.
Very nice little cabin. We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is closer to the very quiet street (less than 10 cars/day) than it is to the water but still very nice. The dock was more than sufficient for our little fishing boat (even had electricity at the dock to charge boat batteries). Space was clean and well appointed. Very nice launching point for Les Cheneaux area exploration.
We really loved it! Super cute easy spot for us to use as a hub for a kayaking trip. (2 females)
FYI the stove is miniature. We didn’t cook, but we had never seen such a small stove. Worked great though 😊
Perfect for a weekend getaway with my spouse. Cabin was very clean and affordable.
I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed and pillow were. Slept great both nights. It was very peaceful and quiet.
Would recommend for couples.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay! It’s perfect for 2, but wouldn’t really work for more. It is immaculately clean with lots of vintage charm.

Cedar bills in October
Affordable, easy access, and clean, comfortable cabin. Quarry on other side of the bay never stops - not super loud - just a constant low rumble. Could use better cookware for those that don’t eat out much. Space heater does the job but takes awhile in October temperatures. Was expecting it to be more secluded. Overall though provided us with a nice getaway to return to after fabulous color tours around Drummond island area.
We loved this cozy cottage. It was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Took our boat and spent three beautiful days exploring Les Cheneaux Islands. It was so convenient and relaxing to be able to dock right at the cottage.
Small cabin tucked beneath huge cedar trees. Steps away from Lake Huron/Les Cheneux islands. Short drive to Cedarville and Hessel. Cabin is rustic but comfortable. Good value.
Cabin was cute and well stocked. One single room but cute and charming. The vintage stove worked great. Monica answered all of our questions. It was a great little getaway.
We stayed here as well as the home on the property. It was so nice to have a little space to retreat to with our youngest after long days playing in the water, fishing and yard games! The property is plenty big enough for a couple or small family (with air mattresses) to stay while experiencing all of the beauty the area has to offer! Everything was clean and tidy, checking in and out was seamless, any communication with the property manager was timely and very kind. Highly recommend this cozy little getaway!
