This stay was exceptional. Matt and Misty were highly communicative and went out of their way to help me throughout my travel. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler.
Their property was an absolute delight. With a private beach all to yourself, the reef a 10-minute kayak ride away (kayaks and snorkels provided!), and all kinds of fruits and vegetables on the grounds, it was a slice of heaven. I lost count of their produce - avocadoes, bananas, and fresh coconut were terrific snacks.
Cooking appliances were provided, and the bed was a fluffy cloud. There was a cute table where I could drink some coffee or relax with a book. The sunsets were incredible.
What more can I say?! Book your stay already! I'll be coming back!
This property was everything we were looking for. Misty was so helpful when planning our trip with referrals for diving and other questions. Upon arrival Matt met us at the airport, took us to rent a car (we were very pleased we went with the 4 wheel drive) and then to a local grocery store. The casita was stocked well and very comfortable. Sunsets from the porch or dock were spectacular!!! Matt was a very attentive host and went above and beyond. Being our 1st time to Roatan we felt we hit the jackpot when selecting this property.
Beautiful property, we were so happy we chose this location. It is close to many restaurants, stores and fun things yet just far away enough to be tranquil. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the reef and snorkeling right there. It was perfectly clean and everyone we came in contact with was friendly and welcoming.
As wonderful as this casita looks in photos, it's 100 times more beautiful in real life. Big, bright, airy with HGTV quality and style. Linens and towels worthy of a luxury hotel. A kitchenette better equipped than my kitchen back home. And a gorgeous, serene view of the ocean is just outside the door. Can't wait to return.
It was more that expected! Fabulous space with everything you need. Right on the water with kayak. It rained but we will be back! The towels and linnens are luxurious and it felt so welcoming and Sharon and her partner were very kind, answered any questions an were right up the hill. It felt very private and nice!

Odd and deceptive
I spent a few months on Roatan and stayed at various similar properties throughout the island. I wanted a beachfront casita, with peace & quiet and to snorkel from shore/dock. This property was not it. The picture are deceiving and false advertising.
I was given two check-in window times and an inaccurate pin drop for the location. The pin drop is for the casita not the entry point to the property. 4 people manage the property. The wife in the US, husband somewhere else in Roatan and 2 partners at the property.
The casita is cute but not functional. The king bed and linens were awesome! The shower was nice with decent hot water and pressure. There’s lots of unnecessary decorative items. The “kitchenette” is a single hot plate, small mini fridge and a tiny sink. All the utensils are there but it’s challenging to cook even simple meals for 1 person. Seating is limited to 2 metal folding chairs inside and 2 folding wood chairs outside. The casita is a duplex so you will have neighbors. My neighbors were really cool and chill but I could hear everything. I mean everything!!
The property is nothing like what the pictures portray. The steps from the parking area to the casita are a broken neck waiting to happen. The rise/run is way off and the steps are giant uneven slippery stones with useless lighting. The property is waterfront but definitely not “beach” front. There is zero sand on the “beach.” The “beach” is muddy, mucky, rocks and tons of broken glass. It is not possible to snorkel or swim from the shore. The dock has more missing and broken planks than intact planks, it is unstable and needs to be condemned. The property has kayaks for use. However, you will have to launch from the mucky broken glass filled muddy shore. Wading boots not water shoes are a must have at this property.
The property has a lighted motion surveillance camera mounted to the casita looking at the shore. This made it impossible to star gaze anywhere except from the deck of the casita. I was invited to the partners main house to star gaze from their moon deck. However, I did not go mainly because of the steps back to the casita in the dark.
I was constantly being watched. Comments were made about my schedule. A property manager was at/looking in the casita window one morning while I was inside. I was scolded for speaking to the dog.
Of all the properties I stayed at on Roatan, this is the only one I would not return to.
