If you are looking for a relaxing get away, you are almost there. This family home sits at the foothills of the Clinch Mountains in a great country community and is 5 minutes from the beautiful 30,000 acre Cherokee Lake. The property boasts of a large country kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare family meals. I love getting up and having my coffee on the front porch, which has a much loved antique glider swing and porch rockers, where you can sit and inhale the beauty of the rolling hills.

All of us enjoyed or stay. The only thing we felt was missing is maybe a couple of seats on the driveway side. 😊 the house worked out perfectly and had plenty of room for some cousins and aunts who were there visiting an aunt that lives in Morristown. Thank you so much for opening up your home. 💕🙏
Exceptional communication with host, extremely helpful! Everything was as described, perfect quiet get away. Plenty of room. Would definitely stay again when we are back in town!
The home was lovely, quiet, clean and very accommodating. The owner worked with us during a problem we encountered and was very helpful. We loved our stay and would certainly stay here again!
What a sweet country home in eastern Tennessee! Lots of comfy beds and a great front porch and yard! Host was very responsive & kind. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The house was very clean and comfortable. Parking could be better but man this reminded me of staying at grandma's house. 10 out of 10 for sure. Would stay again without question.
If you are in your mid 30s this place was like staying at your grandmas house. it was old fashioned decorated comfy beds, extra blankets everywhere, Old board games to play .all around most comfortable place i have ever stayed. Was it over the top updated super classy? No but it was a very nice down home feel.
Only down fall we rented a boat from straight creek dock was listed as 12 miles away, that is not accurate it was a 50 minute drive.
This home is perfect for a much needed break from the stress of life! The description was accurate, the amenities were plentiful and the front porch therapeutic! Home cooked meals were no problem in the roomy kitchen, but would suggest you stop and purchase any food supplies before your arrival. Top off your trip with a picnic at Cherokee Lake and you have made a perfect getaway!
The house was old smellls bad i have alot of health issue. I could not take the smell.. Stayed there 10 minutes with door open smell still there .i texted the owner she texted me back the next day. Waste of money. Was not offered back any of my money bad business do not book this place..
I had a great stay! Close location to Cherokee Lake. Quiet, peaceful place that I would come back to again for sure. Sherry was very accommodating and responsive.
Sherry’s place has everything you need with lots of space to spread out. The decor makes you feel right at home. The space is bright and feels like you’ve stepped into the movie “Sweet Home Alabama”. The yard is also beautiful with lots of space for the kids to run around.
Owner is very nice and helpful. The house is such a cute home in a peaceful country set. Was perfect for our Easter getaway

Why they chose this property
This was the home of my in laws, long time residence of this country farming community. I have kept this home for many years because my grown children and grandchildren love coming here to unplug and unwind from the hectic lives they sometimes find themselves captive of. About a year ago I decided to share this unique, quiet, peaceful place with others. I love that others can experience relaxing times with family and remember what it was like to breath in fresh air and totally unwind and just enjoy the company of each other. The home was built around 1954 and nurtured a family of 5 children. You will see the remnants of life gone by as the old smoke house and chicken coops still stand. You might get a glimpse of a deer, wild turkeys, ground hogs, skunks (don't pet), and plenty of squirrels. The farming community is predominantly a tomato farming area with large tomato farmers who utilize the waters of beautiful Cherokee Lake to irrigate. The lake is about 5 minutes from the house and draws many lake lovers from all around.
What makes this property unique
The front porch is the home of two rockers, an antique porch glider swing and a beautiful view of the rolling landscape for you to enjoy over your morning coffee. The glider swing is a very special swing as it was built by my children's grandfather, who built houses around the community in the early 1900's. Please use it, but I ask that you and your children be respectful of its age and use it with gentleness. If you want to venture out for some fun day trips, you are approx. 48 miles from Pigeon Forge, but allow for traffic time if you come during vacation season. Bring your boat and enjoy the 30,000+ acre beautiful Cherokee Lake. Cherokee Dam is located in Jefferson City which is about a 30 minute drive. Clinch Mountain sits behind the house and an18 minute drive will put you atop the mountain for a beautiful view of the lake and farmland sprawled below. If you continue across the mountain your total hour drive might find you in Cumberland Gap Historical Park where nearby you can drive through a 1 mile tunnel that treks under a mountain where you will cross state lines. Check out my "While You are Here" guest book for more opportunities to explore.
