Excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is within an hour or so to many wonderful small towns, hikes, state parks and waterfalls. The home was very clean, probably the cleanest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed. Deer and turkey visit the front lawn each morning and evening. Our entire family enjoyed the well stocked game room! The owners are responsive and welcoming. They live just down the drive from the main house so they greeted us upon arrival.

Peaceful

Barb and Captain Ron are great hosts. Always available and helpful. The house is just as shown and the kitchen has everything you could need and more. Game room is awesome and kept everyone busy. Trails around house are good for exercise. I recommend house. Room for everyone. Also firepit and hot tub were used. Plenty of firewood was provided.

GREAT VACATION

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the property! It is beautiful, clean, private - all the things you could wish for in a vacation. We had family game nights in the downstairs game room. We enjoyed fires by the fire pit - thank you, Ron for the firewood! The kitchen is big, beautiful and well-stocked. Plenty of room for the whole family. We were amazed when we pulled up and saw the deer/turkey in the yard. So many things to mention but the responsiveness by Ron/Barbara was amazing. Ron was able to help us when my niece's car wouldn't start - a real lifesaver! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful, will stay again

The Captain and Barbara are very kind and helpful. They had a binder of local activities and sites. The house was great and had a bunch of amenities so we could stay in when we wanted to. The kids and the adults loved the game room; it was the absolute best. The yard was beautiful and there was wildlife that came close to the house. We chose not to use the jacuzzi but we liked the option. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, spices, plates (including paper), pots and pans and oil. The bathrooms had towels and toilet paper. There were even extra towels for jacuzzi use. And then there was a washer and dryer. Everything you could need! We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Pictures do not do this property justice.

We stayed at this lovely home for ten glorious days. The home was exceptionally clean and well maintained. A perfect getaway tucked back in the western North Carolina mountains. The views are unbelievably awesome and you are secluded from anyone nearby. Yet, only a 10 minute drive to town and a grocery store with reasonable prices and all that anyone would need. The property is close to many different things to do such as horseback riding, rafting, boating, train rides, etc. The game room is the absolute best ever. We spent a great deal of time there with the kids. All of the equipment in the game room is in top notch condition. Captain Ron and Barbara are great hosts and right there for your every need. Our family had get togethers around the fire pit every night. Captain Ron kept us stocked with firewood. There are dear and turkey wondering through the property every morning and evening. Again, Ron and Barbara make sure of this by feeding them on a daily basis. They also have a small vegetable and herb garden that you can utilize for items such as squash, peppers, parsley, etc. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from the daily grind and just relax. We will be returning.

Hayesville Wedding Trip

This was a great place for three generations stay for a week. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for a group. The outside space was really nice. It was hot and muggy but being outside for evenings and mornings was nice. If we are in Hayesville again we would book this one again!

SECLUDED 24 ACRES

The property is absolutely beautiful. The listing stated it was 24 secluded acres, and appears to be completely in the middle of the 24 acres. I found this a little misleading, it is not exactly secluded on 24 accessible acres. The home was beautiful and has a wonderful game room and jacuzzi.

Celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary with family

This place is absolutely amazing. It’s so peaceful and we felt right at home. The entire family had the best time, from just relaxing, to riding our four wheeler. playing games in the fabulous game room, to s’mores by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub. The mornings were awesome sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching the wildlife. Capt. Ron is the absolute best host ever. He was super nice made sure we were good and had enough firewood. I think we have found our future family vacations. Thank you so much for allowing our family to stay at your beautiful place.

Lots of room for Family Fun

We had 10 people in our party - 6 adults and 4 kiddos; there was room for everyone to sleep; room for everyone to play in the Rec room or in the hot tub; room for baths/showers. A very accommodating host made sure we were happy and was not a nuisance. He kept lawn and outside areas spic and span tidy. We highly recommend anyone with a group to consider this place as your home base while hiking, boating, sight-seeing, etc! Great place to relax and sit on the porch to watch the deer and the turkeys play.

One with nature

The house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed. From preparing meals using fresh items from the garden to early morning and evening fires to gather around. The remote setting was exactly what we were looking for to experience nature and relax with our family. Whenever the need arose to engage in a little competition there were plenty of games to choose from including a pool table, Foosball, shuffle board and more. It truly was the perfect home away from home to stay for a week. We miss the view and peaceful setting already.
