I built an apartment next to our house, thinking some day i would live in the apartment and rent the house. The apartment is accessed by a wide set of stairs made of oak. Upon entering the apartment there is a teratine tile floor in the kitchen, that transitions onto an oak floor in an open layout on the back half of this unit. In the middle of the space is a small table that seats four, including an oak church pew . A small siting area (with fold out futon) in the family room area has several windows that look into the trees. Three sky light tunnels bring light into the room. The oak, tile, and warm paint make the living/dining/family area relaxing, and the perfect spot for 2-3 people. The front half of the unit has a bedroom on one end, an office/study/den/sleeping area in the middle and a tiled bathroom with custom built walk-in shower, along with washer and dryer on the other end. The office/study/den has a full sky light that brings light into the center of the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with oak kitchen cabinets and all the basic kitchen necessities.

This place was in a great central location to Acadia and was very comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed. The host was very attentive and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
Perfect spot for relaxing in nature and exploring Acadia from the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. Michael is a gracious host and the place was clean and stocked with necessities.
A great little spot on the quiet side of the island. Close to town, but tucked away in the woods. Quiet, with everything I needed for a nice getaway. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, comfy bed and plenty of space for me to spread out. Michael was a great host, and easy to communicate with. Good wifi.
The apartment was perfect for us. It was Located close to everything we wanted to do. Michael was very helpful and attentive. The apartment clean and comfortable. We are definately coming back!!
Loved the place. We stayed here a couple days so we could explore Acadia. It was a great location for our needs. Michael stayed on tops of things as far as communication goes. I needed something that wasn't at the apartment and sent him a message and it appeared on the steps within just a few minutes. Couldn't have asked for a better host
Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back.
A fantastic location in a bucolic setting of tall pine trees and a long, winding gravel driveway.
The apartment was way more spacious than I thought it would be and with everything we needed
The location was great Five or ten minutes to points in Acadia National Park and 15 to Bar Harbor.
The host was friendly and helpful.
I will definitely book next year.

Acadia vacation -
We were very , very lucky to find this place - it's a real gem ! The Accommodation at Michael's beautiful , spacious and spotless apartment was a real deal ! Great location easily accessible to hiking and bike trails as well as very good food places . Michael is a great host . We highly recommend his cozy and comfortable flat.
This apartment is comfortable and clean but needs some simple improvements such as new pillows and more of them (two flat ones are provided). Also there’s no coffee pot, but there is a bean grinder, which doesn’t make sense. There is nowhere to put the soap in the shower or on the bathroom sink—soap dishes would help. And someone was definitely coming in the apartment while we were out, presumably the owner doing his laundry in the bathroom? We weren’t told that that was going to happen, which was unsettling.
Great location, access to Acadia, functional and clean!
We loved staying here. It was just 15 mins away from Bar harbor, many locations within Acadia sight-seeing and activities. Beautiful skylight in one of the bedroom and very clean, functional bedroom/bathroom/kitchen/appliances. Separate apartment access avoids any complications with people around or COVID fear. TV has DirectTV connection with Prime/Netflix and WIFI was great. Michael was such a gentleman and provided clear directions, great tips about the stay and activities as well. We will definitely stay here again next time!

Vijay
Michael was an amazing host and we had everything we needed and more to enjoy the area of MDI and Acadia. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, private, place to stay.
Mike was a great host, and he made sure to tell me to use a specific intersection in Maine to get to the property. I used it the first time, but then on day 3 things got funny with my google maps and I lost signal and had to put in the address again... ended up at two different places in Maine with the exact same address! haha but the place was fine and it was great to have access to a washer dryer for all my filthy hiking clothes. :)
This place is slightly off the beaten track -secluded setting with lots of privacy and very quiet. It's cozy and spacious and has a great kitchen where you could prepare meals and store lots of food. It was very clean and cozy. Pam and Mike were excellent hosts and made me feel very welcome. They also gave me info and maps which helped me find some great places on the island to walk. All-and all a great place to stay and I hope I can go back sometime.
