Perfect location and right on the beach. A few things as noted previously. You can definitely hear the upstairs guests walking around, which was ok for us except for one night, but could get loud if you have people staying up late. It was a perfect weather week for us, but can see how it could get very humid and hot in the summer. The door to one of the bedrooms, which we used as the main/adult bedroom, would not close all the way. Hopefully they will get that fixed. They also need a porch light underneath. Spent a lot of time relaxing outside, exploring the island and Morris Island. Found some of the beat sand dollars and shells I have ever found on the beach. Great trip overall.
Property was nice and clean and perfect for the family. We needed extra furniture in the living room to accommodate 5 of us. The was only seating for 3 or 4. But not a huge deal. The front bedroom door would not close at all due to settling of foundation. We had to hang a blanket over the doorway to get some privacy. All that aside we loved our vacation.
Great location, can see the beach from the living room and master bedroom. Great for dogs during the off-season to be able to go play on the beach. Worth noting there is a separate unit upstairs which is basically the main house. This unit is clearly a converted basement, but overall did a decent job with it. Not a luxury condo, but it met our needs well. There was a brief local power outage on Folly (not the unit's fault) and I tried to call the local office emergency line but couldn't connect through to speak to anyone so that's not ideal.

horrible stay
it was freezing and air was running full blast. asked to move the dates forward because for the storm. had to arrived or would lose . roads in were horrible. the walkway to house was treacherous with ice. There were no restaurants open the first and second day and a only a few open 3rd day. tourist attractions were closed.
Great location but the uncomfortable furniture was a negative. We had two sets of neighbors that rented the upstairs unit . You could hear every footstep they took. The interior upgrades were amateurish. The front entrance door needs an exterior light. There is a significant tripping hazard at night due to the deck walkway.
The location cannot be beat! The basement unit was cozy. The large deck underneath was a great reprieve from the sun and offered a place to store beach gear. The neighbors upstairs were not loud. Overall it was a good experience.
Hello,
I would like to say that the location was beautiful. I was traveling with my 13 year old daughter, my husband and my elderly mom and elderly uncle. The ease of walking to the beach from the condo was perfect. The decoration of the house was also very nice as well as the supplies for the kitchen were all available. There was however a couple of issues that seemed unsettling, there were dehumidifier’s everywhere and most had to be emptied 2 times a day. There was no beach towels or beach chairs available in the house, which seemed odd as this was a beach house. There was also many many blankets in the spare closet that could not be utilized to hang anything up and lack of storage available was also an issue. Our gravest concern was there were throw rugs around the house and became dangerous as my uncle did trip and fell into a plastic bedside table and broke it, he was ok. I immediately folded all the throw rugs and put them away. I advised the property managers and they were exceptional, kind and considerate. The days at the beach were amazing and the outdoor shower was perfect. I would absolutely stay there again. The house was clean and the managers were exceptionally nice.
Thank you 😊
We enjoyed our stay but I will say there were a couple of things unexpected, at least for us. The listing does say small on the main page “condo” but nothing about the wording or the photos lead us to believe it was anything other than a house. We did talk to two sets of upstairs neighbors who stated the same. One thing about the deck outside is when the upstairs neighbors come off the beach all the sand and water comes thru and lands on you so it was something we had to be aware of. Also the last upstairs guests did not pay attention to what they were leaving on the deck and their trash kept blowing off and landing in the area that was our responsibility. I will say you can tell there was a flip done but the floors are soft and sink in multiple places. There was a dehumidifier in every room, some were hosed so we did not have to empty but others we did, it was quite loud at all times inside. We were there for the beach so mostly it was not a problem till it rained and we had to go inside. We had a problem with the plumbing under the sink that was fixed within 24 hours so we were grateful for the quick response. This was not a bad stay but I do feel it was a little pricey for what we ended up getting.
Nice overall. Walk right off your backporch to the beach. Had a horrible smell on entrance. Maintenance came and said it was the washing machine. They ran a bleach wash through and helped with the smell, however we had to do that once a day to keep the smell away.
The property is located on the beach - steps to the waves. Can’t beat this location. The beach was clean and not very crowded. The unit was well stocked with everything we might need.
We enjoyed our stay
Only cons were the roaches - maybe a hot humid climate issue but I would strongly recommend a pest control service ASAP
I selected the unit because it was ocean front and had no stairs. I am retired, and have some handicaps. The location is spectacular! Great beach area. When I arrived, the cleaning crew was just leaving. The place was very clean. My only complaints about the unit are more about my problems than the units! It is not really set up completely for handicapped people. There are no safety bars in the shower/tubs, and the ramp to the beach needs a rail to be safe, as sand and wood can be slippery. There is only one closet for hanging garments. But really, these issues are nitpicking. I enjoyed the place immensely.
Perfect, quiet part of the island, with view of the beach even from the first floor -- great porch area, we practically lived out there the whole time. Some basic maintenance could be done on door handles and sliding screens. Didn't realize smart TV meant you had to input your own subscription services, so be sure to bring your own passwords. Thanks for a lovely place to stay!

House Needs Work but the location is GREAT!
The location is great, but the house needs some serious work. The floors are very wavy and soft. My kids were actually able to race hot wheels cars on the floor by just letting them go. When we arrived one of the bathroom sinks was clogged, we pulled a plunger and were able to get it working again. When we went to take a shower the water faucet fell off when we pulled the handle to turn on the shower, leading to water shooting directly out of the wall. I immediately called the property manager and they said they would send someone out the next day. Maintenance arrived the next day around 11am and said it would be good to use in a little over an hour, when we went to take a shower that evening the same thing happened. The shower faucet in the other bath was loose and starting to separate from the wall as well. In addition, there in a dehumidifier in every room except the bathrooms. As a result of all the dehumidifiers the house is very loud, and it makes it very difficult to sleep at night as they kick on and off. The toilet paper holders are crooked and barely hanging on. When we arrived the back outdoor furniture was very dirty, from rain and blowing sand. I asked the property manager "Follys Best" for a discount and they said yes but then I never heard anything. The house definitely was not as advertised. We stayed in the off season but with taxes and cleaning fees we still paid way too much. I would say $300 per night, during the off would be fair due to everything listed.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic. It was quite and comfortable. The house had nice upgrades. It makes great use of the space available.

Barney Fife on the Beach
Can’t enjoy beach with pets between 10am - 6pm. We got run off. Neighbors to the left and right written tickets for alcohol in solo cups on the beach. They were families with kids just relaxing. Bugs and mildew smells in the house. Toilet paper holders coming off wall. Neighbors banging on floor and playing music all night on the 2nd floor of this house. Never coming back to this house OR Commie Folly.
This was the perfect place for our family to act like absolute beach bums. It was private, quiet, and there was nothing better than opening the back door and putting your feet in the sand. We'll be coming back again.
We absolutely loved this property! Right on the beach, wonderful deck with lots of seating, great amount of space inside. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. It was less than 10 minutes to the downtown area and had private beach access. We will absolutely be back!
