We found this cabin looking for a quick weekend getaway not too far from home for myself and my husband. I had a little trouble booking so sent a message to the host and they immediately responded and got us all settled with booking our stay! The cabin was exactly as it looked in pictures, super cozy, and rustic, exactly what we were looking for! And the property was nestled back in the trees away from most of the neighbors and noise. We spent all of the rainy weekend on the couch with a fire in the fireplace. It was the staycation we needed!
This beautiful little cabin was absolute perfection! It has everything you need and more, the hot tub was fantastic, the kitchen is very well stocked, and all the little details are wonderful, we even saw a little deer in the back yard. It was the best!! We’ll definitely be going back!
Easy check in/out. Hot tub and sauna were great. Also LOTS of deer. Private backyard, snacks provided, cozy robes and variety of books/movies. We had an amazing time!
Great communication from owner when there was a ppwer outage, they even dropped off extra firewood for us, which we appreciated. Sauna and hot tub were lovely too
We enjoyed our stay in the Nisqually Nest. It's a lovely, clean cabin in the woods. Plenty of towels were provided. It's well stocked with plenty of staples and pots/pans/plates/cups/stemware for cooking/eating. It's got a lot of little things too that are really awesome. Like a heated bathroom floor, a mini split heat pump that provides adequate heat for the whole cabin, robes, slippers, etc. We had a power outage while we were there and could have used the generator but decided it was best just to snuggle using the battery powered candles in the dark and hot fire in the wood stove. We'll be back!
Nisqually Nest is seriously absolutely perfect! The cabin is cozy and very comfortable. After a day in the park we appreciated the hot tub and sauna for our sore legs. The bed is like sleeping in your own little nest. We had a question during our stay and Kent and Kari were quick to respond. We will definitely be back to stay again!
We recently stayed at this charming property and were truly impressed with its rustic appeal. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with lots of character, this place delivers! The cabin had that authentic "back-to-nature" vibe, and the décor added to the warm, cozy atmosphere.
What really stood out to us was how close the property is to Mount Rainier National Park. It was incredibly convenient to be just a short drive away from some of the park’s best hiking trails and breathtaking viewpoints. We loved being able to spend our days exploring the park, then coming back to relax in such a tranquil setting.
While the amenities were more on the simple side, the property's authentic, rustic charm made up for it. It’s the ideal spot for nature lovers who want to soak in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and have easy access to Mount Rainier.
Overall, it's a great place for anyone looking to experience a true, unplugged mountain getaway near one of the country’s most stunning national parks
We travelled to mount rainier from Vancouver Canada and hoping to find a cabin that’s away from people and this place fulfilled our goal as we spent the night just two of us and sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the bathtub and sauna, perfect getaway place
This place was perfect! The hot tub and sauna were incredible, especially after a long hike at Mt Rainier. This place was very close to the park entrance, so we had no wait. Five stars!
We stayed for the weekend to travel around Mount Rainier before going on a cruise to Alaska. The hosts were wonderful. The place was a perfect getaway. The sauna and hot tub were a nice end to days of hiking and adventures. We also enjoyed playing the records and cups of hot tea before bed. The place was clean with plenty of towels. I loved how private it felt. We even saw a deer nearby. This was a great property to stay for the weekend and I would recommend it to anyone needing a getaway!
The place was amazing. Their communication letting us know where the closest grocery stores were and everything else we would need to know before our stay was spot on. Kent and Kari got back to me in such a timely manner we had everything we needed for our stay. The property itself was very clean and the backyard hot tub / fire pit set up was such a great way to wind down our day after hiking Mt. Rainier. I can't recommend this place enough.
Highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area! The place is clean and outfitted well for cooking. The sauna, fire pit, and hot tub are wonderful for relaxing. The hosts are very helpful as well!
Host was great at communicating. Property was as described. Back yard was a true refuge! String lights over the deck and hot tube made it feel like an oasis. I will 100% stay here again
Really enjoy the hot tab and sauna! This place could satisfy all your imagination of life in the woods. All the amenities are great. The property manager always reply in seconds.Love this place.Hope to be there again!
Absolutely the most amazing property I have stayed. Location, privacy, kitchen is fully stocked, hot tub was amazing after long hikes, can’t wait to go back. Communication was the best I’ve had with recommendations on where to go fishing as well as making sure I stocked up before we headed there since it’s a small town with no large grocery store. Will be back!!

We're PNW natives. We've lived in the beautiful state of Washington our entire lives. Mt. Rainier is our crown jewel and the National Park is an absolute must-see. We feel so fortunate to have this cabin so close to our beloved mountain so that we can share this experience with so many others.
Why they chose this property
Perfectly located 5 miles from the park entrance. Our cabin is in a woodsy setting with lots of privacy. It sits back in the trees on a cul de sac in a neighborhood called Paradise Estates. There is a tiny home next door which is separated by a privacy fence. We do also get some road noise from nearby Skate Creek Rd. This is one of the most woodsy and provate properties in the area.
