Located conveniently near downtown Travelers Rest, Zephyr Hill is the perfect getaway for couples, large families or groups. This is camping like you’ve never done it before… You will have 8 acres of privacy located on a larger 20 acre lot. While there are occasionally other guests on other areas of the 20 acres, you will have 8 acres all to yourselves!

The space
Located conveniently near downtown Travelers Rest, Zephyr Hill is the perfect getaway for individuals, large families or groups. This is camping like you’ve never done it before… You will have 8 acres of privacy!

--- Offering multiple tent sites and 2 RV sites
--- Generator rental available for an additional $35/per day (5 gallons of gas per day included)
--- Fire pit (with firewood and kindling provided)
--- Kids’ play fort
--- Non-potable water tank (must bring your own drinking water)
--- Old-fashioned outhouse with composting toilet
--- 3/4 mile walking trail (shared with other guests)
--- small grassy area (shared with other guests)
--- log jungle gym (shared with other guests)
--- Only 5 minutes from downtown Travelers Rest and the Swamp Rabbit Trail
--- Several restaurants and grocery stores (even a Walmart) are close by so you can easily grab last minute necessities

When you rent this area you are renting an entire 8 acres that is part of a larger 20 acre lot. While there may be other guests on portions of the other 12 acres, we work hard to make sure that guests respect privacy of others and only use their rented space (with the exception of the shared spaces [grassy play area, jungle gym, and walking trail).

We have recently added a charcoal grill for your convenience. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid to enjoy this feature.

Great setup!

Severe weather caused me to have to adjust my plans but I got a chance to check out the site thoroughly and every detail has been accounted for. Everything you need to cook on the grill or on the fire is provided. The fort is well-constructed and safe. Owner is a great communicator. I will book this site again in the future, hopefully with friends because there’s plenty of room for a group.

Great getaway close to everything

We loved the options we had to set up camp. The campfire area was amazing! Great fire pit with lots of wood and tools to let us get some smaller pieces easily. We enjoyed walking the trail also. The woodchips on the ground helped make the area great even in the rain. Outhouse was even acceptable for my 12yr old daughter :)

Camping Dream Come True

Had a large group of friends for a long weekend in the woods. Lots of hiking, eating at local restaurants, and spending evenings around the campfire. This property was perfect to accommodate everyone with great tent spots and perfect parking for everyone who was camping out of their truck/van. We would run the trail loop in the mornings for some exercise, and the sunsets were amazing at the top of the hill. Being so close to everything was amazing, but it truly felt like we were much further away (in the best of ways) when we were onsite. Can't wait to book this spot again.

Planning our next visit!

We went camping with a group of several families and had a blast. The tree house, swing and jungle gym play place were huge hits and provided hours of entertainment. The available firewood was also a huge perk. We would 100% go again!
