I stayed here for a business trip. It's a nice updated small home. It's big enough for two adults and two kids. A big cold front rolled in the day I checked in so I did not get to try the fishing pond. I'll definitely stay here again so I can try that out. The house was quiet even with 30-40 mph winds outside. The place would be perfect if it had high-speed internet, but my cell phone hot spot worked well enough for my purposes. The owner and property manger were very easy to communicate with.
My sisters & I had a great stay! Beautiful sunset on the pond with the cattle roaming. The house was very cute & clean. Would stay here again! Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful property / we had a fantastic time and the fishing was awesome !! / Bill the property caretaker was very friendly / highly recommend this property / we would give this property 10 stars !
If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. It is beautiful and peaceful and the cabin has everything you need. I did not want to leave. My son had a great time fishing and I enjoyed sitting on the porch under the beautiful oak trees. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We will be back!
We were so pleasantly surprised when everything was even better than we had hoped for….privacy, quiet, beauty, comfort, sunsets.…and waking up being surrounded by cattle was the icing on the cake! Thank you!
It was our anniversary and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet that the property provides. Secluded to the point that we never saw anyone else. We look forward to going back when its warmer and doing some fishing!
Very well-maintained and peaceful place. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and enjoyed the house, the land, and the fishing dock. There is a lot of area to walk around, the grill is brand new, had all the amenities we needed, and the sunsets are spectacular!
We stayed here because my sisters wedding was nearby. This little house was just 3 minutes away from where my parents were staying so it was a perfect location for us. The place was clean and quiet with a gorgeous morning view, and my daughter loved all the cows being around.
We had a great time!! The property is beautiful. It is convenient for my family to have a quick weekend or a middle-of-the-week getaway for some peace and quiet!! Bill is easy to work with and the old house has all the modern amenities!! We will return!!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property - both times with our 5 year-old granddaughter in tow! We had a blast! The house is nicely furnished and has modern amenities. The property is beautiful and we even managed to catch a few fish!! Bill, the caretaker of the property is nice and is easy to deal with. We will be back, for sure!!
Peaceful stay on beautiful, well maintained property. Easy check-in and check-out process. Late booking so may have missed it but the property has another place on it. No issues and will look to book again.
If you are looking for a quiet secluded place to stay, this is perfect. It is set In the midst of several acres of pasture land and provides a lake right in front of the cabin that is full of bass and perch. The drive in to the property is scenic as you travel under a canopy of stately oaks. Nearby towns of Brenham, Chappell Hill, and Hempstead allow for shopping and short excursions.
