Family gathering in Winthrop

Enjoyed our stay. House was clean and well equipped. However, access to Lake Annabessacook is limited. Will consider staying there again in the future.

Lake Region Charmer

We stayed at this home while in town for Maine 70.3. The location was great. Winthrop is a cute little town. Home was close to two beautiful lakes. The backyard was very peaceful, right next to a stream. The home was well appointed and had everything we needed. The communication with the host was great.

Lovely stay in Maine

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Winthrop. We were visiting relatives in the area and needed a place to spend our nights and this was perfect, it had everything we needed. The house was spacious, with more than enough room for the 2 couples that stayed there. The kitchen was well stocked with all kitchen items we needed for making breakfast and more. The house was clean and well-decorated; the beds were extremely comfortable. And our host was very responsive when we had questions. Next time we visit we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Excellent spot for exploring Kennebec and visiting Augusta

This was my family's home base for the Ironman 70.3 Maine triathlon that my wife and I raced. We had a good time in the house, cooking in the kitchen, playing in the living room, and gathering our stuff for each day's excursion. We managed the one bathroom and using fans rather than AC for most of the house. The house has its quirks, but given the favorable location it's a nice property. A good choice for exploring the Kennebec Valley!

Nice house, glad there weren't more of us

There were 4 of us and sharing the common space might have been hard if every bed was filled . It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The AC unit in the living room was a godsend , And the fans available really made it comfortable. Not really any water access , I suspect due to the severe lack of rain. Owner very responsive when I had questions .

Awful "Host" - Misleading Listing

We booked this home as a place to sleep in between ice fishing with my family. Upon arrival we were disappointed with the location. Across from a graveyard down a dirt road with houses on top of each other. The home smelt like dog, there was dog hair everywhere, the sheets smelt unclean and strongly like perfume and the upstairs sleeping quarters had thick dust all over the baseboards above the beds. When booking it was just me an 4 others, then we had a few more family members join. BEWARE: the home says it sleeps 8 but you're charged more after 5. The owner has cameras watching over the property, my husband unplugged one to use the outlet and the host flipped out and called the cops on us for a "large party" and the responding officer joked that she had a hard time finding the complaint because when she arrived the home was dark and quiet as we were getting ready for bed. The host makes you purchase insurance so she can claim damage even if minimal, one guest drove on the "lawn" covered in snow so we couldn't tell the difference and she claimed the "lawn was destroyed" because of a couple tire marks she then submitted an $550 insurance claim for it. I have photos, the home was honestly left in better condition than when we arrived. The host claimed that she tired to get in touch with me - I have 2 emails charging me for the extra guest (sent while I was out on the lake for the day) one of them borderline threatening saying " she will be arriving at 10am on check out day to leave the $$ and we better not be there when she arrives". I also had zero missed calls as she claimed she called endlessly. This host is watching your every move, so if that makes you uncomfortable you are better off at the Hilton 10 mins down the road, it will be much cleaner too!

My family and I love to travel and have rented homes all over the country to visit new areas and to visit friends and family. During the Covid-19 pandemic we had to cancel several trips, so I decided to buy a vacation home that we could use and also share with other travel lovers.
I have tried to fill the house with all my favorite amenities from when we rent a home. We have all new furniture and bedding and hope you will find everything you need when you visit our Maine Get Away.
Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask me any questions!

Super quiet and peaceful, located on a dead end street with a historic cemetery so noise is never an issue. There is a grill and the backyard fire pit is a great place to relax at night and stargaze while making s'mores.
