Quiet and peaceful cabin. We had the opportunity to see deer, turkey and a rabbit on the property. Cozy. Starlink worked great. Fire pit and star gazing. Would recommend this property for anyone seeking a quiet retreat.
The house was perfect for 2 adults and a dog. The appliances were all new and fully functional. The front porch was perfect to relax and observe the beauty of the front yard. We were able to walk the property a few days, exploring the grounds. I saw 3 doe and my first buck at the property. We also saw turkeys on the property. It was just far enough out of town to be remote but yet close enough to town and the gulf if needed. It was very relaxing!
If you are looking for a wildlife retreat, believe the hype! We vist the area often to go paddling, and this will be our first choice property from now on. This modern "cabin" is a breath of fresh air. The house is a perfect blend of rustic and cosmopolitan and the property is a combination tamed and untamed which creates a wonderful haven for the local critters. In the mornings, we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching and listening to nature in all her glory. We were visited by turkeys, deer, bunnies and so many birds. In the evenings we sat outside stargazing and watching the fireflies. The cabin was well cleaned and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets so nice I found myself checking the lables. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare two of our meals a day. It is well water, but we knew that going in and brought plenty of bottled water. We had no issues with internet or streaming tv during the time we were stuck inside because of rain. The host was SUPER responsive when a huge storm went through and knocked the power out. We got the generac running in no time at all. We paddled Wakulla River (only 5 minute drive to the upper boat lauch near the state park or 10 minutes to the lower launch near TNT) and Wacissa River (35 min. drive to the launch site). The local waterways NEVER disappoint. If you are looking for a cozy cabin in the woods to escape the city, this is a great choice!

This has been one of my favorite properties. The owner was easy to reach, the property was modern yet rustic and clean. We stayed there while visiting my daughter at FSU and it was only a half hour away. Took a day trip to Panama City, which was two hours away, but mostly enjoyed, the property itself. We went hiking and really enjoyed ourselves. There is even a Publix nearby. We loved it.
I surprised my wife for our anniversary weekend. Some people like to go to big cities and celebrate, but we would rather go someplace to get away from everything. This is the place. Drove up to the property and was greeted with 3 does and a rafter (flock) of wild turkeys. Yes, we had to look up what a flock of turkeys is called. The place was awesome. Lived up to everything. Even supplied firewood for the fire pit. The only downside we had, as my wife said, it was only for a weekend. We will be back.
The property was absolutely gorgeous. Saw wild turkeys and plenty of deer. Very relaxing place to stay. Cabin was nice and had everything you would need.
Property was exactly as advertised and exactly what I was looking for...perfect!

Small charming cabin (big ants)
Stayed at this VRBO cabin for 2 weeks while we were in between selling & buying houses in the area. It was a charming building with a comfortable bed and clean linens. When we arrived at the cabin there were dead ants all around the living and dining area. We cleaned them up, and more appeared daily. The house has well water, so need to bring lots of bottled water. There is no internet and VRBO made me think there was. I work from home and this was a problem for me. No cable or satellite service for Television either. Appliances worked well but were very noisy except for the dishwasher. This is a great little place for someone who wants to be off the grid in the woods and watch deer. A wonderful place to visit near this cabin is the Edward Ball Wakulla Springs Park. Watch out for the gators! Thanks for a place to stay between our two houses!
This property was by far the best property we have ever stayed at. The location is so peaceful and the wraparound deck going around and seeing all the deer in the morning While you sip your coffee. The sound of the trees. If you want to be completely away from everything this is your place. The cabin is all wood. So beautiful and also with smart appliances. There’s so much I can say about this place, but I think you should go there for yourself to see what I’m talking about. I know I will definitely be back.
Love this place. The property is abundant with deer. Has all the comforts of home (except internet and cable) and lots of hiking and outdoor experiences within easy distances. Would definitely stay here again.
We were looking for a place to relax and get away from the busyness of our lives and this lovely little place on a spacious and pretty piece of property allowed us to do just that. We enjoyed taking walks, watching wildlife from the screened-in porch, and exploring the area. The accommodation was cozy & comfortable, and the kitchen had what we needed to fix meals. Our host was gracious and helpful. If he’ll have us back, we look forward to taking a peaceful break there again :)
Our stay was awesome! The property is very private with abundant wildlife. We enjoyed a walk in the woods to the river on a meandering trail and down the road with our dog.
The location is convenient for trips to town for supplies, bike riding and public boat launches. Parks and trails everywhere. Restaurants close by in neighboring communities.
Our host was friendly and helpful in suggestions. The cabin had everything we needed. Comfortable and clean.
We hope to return and stay longer!
Beautiful property. The cabin was very cozy. It had everything we needed. We walked the property daily. Loved the privacy. Enjoyed the wildlife- deer, Turkey's, rabbits and squirrels. We enjoyed the firepit and the grill. Our stay was for 2 months, and we were not disappointed. If you need internet access, I suggest that you bring some form of hotspot with you. Thats what we did, and it was sufficient. TV was by antenna and had plenty of channels to choose from. If you love privacy and quiet, this is for you!
Wonderfully modern cabin in the woods. So quiet and peaceful with only the deer for neighbors. Yet there is so much to do in the surrounding area. Rivers to explore, springs to swim in, day trips to the beach, Apalachicola, Carabelle and more. And best of all ...... Fido friendly! Thanks to our host for a great experience.
Comforts of home in the gorgeous Florida wilderness!
We loved and highly recommend this property!! My husband and I plus two kids (9 and 7) were very comfortable in this well appointed vacation home. Ken has thought of everything! We adore the Florida panhandle wilderness and could choose to take a walk or observe from the screened in porch. Though the house was outfitted with most anything we can think of needing, a drive to town was not too far away. We spend most of our time between visiting the beach, and Wakulla Spring park, both a short drive away. Thank you and we will book again!
If you enjoy peace, quiet & wildlife while still having a connection to the real world in the most AMAZING cabin; anyone and everyone would love this property
