Welcome to "Eagle Rock". Whether you are a family or a group of friends, come and enjoy this sunny, west-facing oceanfront home on beautiful Pender Island.

You will love the stunning sunsets, breathtaking views, and clean ocean air. Eagle Rock has a spacious living-dining room, a huge eat-in kitchen, two king bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, and two more bedrooms with one full bathroom with a family room and kitchenette downstairs.

Sit on the 600-square-foot deck upstairs or the 300-square-foot deck below and watch the whales swim by while the eagles soar. Or, get closer by walking down to the ocean-side flagstone patio and sit on the Adirondack chairs.

This spacious 3000-square-foot family home is on a private one-acre lot at the end of a cul-de-sac. There are two wood-burning fireplaces, one upstairs and one down.

Enjoy comfortable dining outside and inside. Grill on the propane BBQ. Find peace in the Hot Tub overlooking the ocean view.

The large eat-in kitchen has everything you need, including spices, olive oil, and aluminum foil. Quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large kitchen island with stools ensure a lot of room to cook and socialize.

Downstairs, you or the kids can have fun in the Games/Family Room. It has a foosball table, a 65-inch TV, a pull-out Queen-size sofa bed, and a twKitchenette.

A short stroll brings you to charming beaches, the marina, and a picnic spot.

Pender Island provides two well-stocked grocery stores, two wine and liquor stores, a pharmacy, bakeries, and many restaurants. You only need to bring your clothes.

At Brownings Marina, you can rent kayaks or charter boats, swim in the pool, or eat at the pub or restaurant.

Just a short ferry ride or a quick floatplane ride from Vancouver, Seattle, or Victoria, "Eagle Rock" is located in the Southern Gulf Islands on Canada's beautiful Pacific West Coast.

Beautiful Pender Island
We had a lovely stay at Eagle Rock. Pauline’s place is extremely clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and games area. The highlight for our family was the upper deck with stunning views for morning coffee, family meals and games or evening soaks in the hot tub observing the stars. Looking forward to returning!

Late summer paradise
Beautiful accommodation inside and out. The residence is only surpassed by the glorious natural surroundings. We spent a week unwinding as a family - the days were packed and we still haven’t seen all the island has to offer!

A Peaceful and Quiet Oasis
We loved our stay at Pender Island. Relaxing in the hot tub or on either deck and looking at the water and wildlife was just the city escape we both needed. The house had everything we needed thanks to our host Pauline. We especially appreciated the flexibility on leaving time for checkout day, so we could be comfortable at the house before taking a later ferry. While on the island, we visited the winery and cidery. The winery had a lovely setting but I would have liked to have tried red wines too. The cidery was fantastic in our experience, and we wish we’d bought a few more bottles to take home. We ate on the patio of the marina restaurant, got ice cream, and picked up sandwiches and baked goods at a local bakery/cafe. All were great and provided tasty vegetarian options. We stopped at a larger grocery store in Victoria to buy some of the Salt Island cheeses to try, since we planned to go straight to Pender Island. Glad we did. Yummy!!

Amazing getaway!
My friends and I were blown away by the beauty of this location and property. The home was spacious, the bedrooms were gorgeous, and we had a lovely time enjoying the hot tub, deck, and whale watching spot. Pauline was very helpful and communicative, provided clear instructions for all amenities and shared some great local suggestions that made for a great weekend getaway. Our best family vacation ever!
Seven of our family, ages ranging from 4 to 72, met and stayed at the beautiful Eagle Rock for a week. The home was spacious and comfortable, and our vacation would have been perfect if we only had enjoyed the incredible views. But we sampled everything Pender Island had to offer! From picking blackberries to sampling wine and cider to the last day at the Fall Festival, it was the best family vacation ever. Thanks to our wonderful host for making it easy and comfortable.

Pender vacation
Great place to stay with stunning views. Had a group of friends come from throughout BC. Hardest thing was getting there but Pauline advised us to book a ferry and had a great check in and check out system. Seamless. There was a lot of broom on the property but it seems to be growing all over the island. But, the location is awesome, the house is fantastic and the views over the ocean are incredible. Great place to unwind and enjoy with friends or by yourself.

A slice of heaven
Eagle Rock did not disappoint! Absolutely beautiful location. Pauline is very responsive if you have any questions. The home itself is very comfortable and spacious and has everything you need. We were a group of seven adults and we had all the space we needed. Sitting in the crystal clear hot tub in the afternoon looking out at the ocean was indescribable. We spent so much time on the upper deck relaxing, reading and watching the ocean for wildlife. There were a couple seals that hung out in front a few of the days and we had a pod of whales go by one afternoon. We filled the hummingbird feeder and had humming birds all day into the evenings. And the sunsets are spectacular!! Loved our time at Eagle Rock! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Absolutely stunning views. We enjoyed watching the sunset every night on the deck. It was wonderful watching all the boats and ferries cross in front and we even lucked out to see whales Great location for getting to activities and hikes on the island. Could stay forever!
Amazing location. Could stare at view endlessly. As mentioned kitchen stocked well. As in dont bring anything. Best kitchen, bar set up we've seen anywhere we've stayed. Bedrooms separated nicely. Front entry hall very nice for drop zone. Wifi strong (especially with 8+ connections). We came during a mini heat wave, blinds down it did get warm. Loved the extra kitchen suite downstairs. View spot was incredible. A really nice home with open spaces, providing some fun games and lots of laughter. Pender island made us all relax and be on island time after 2.5 years of no travel. Can't wait to book again if we are able. Pauline was fabulous to communicate with. Thank you x8

Welcoming home in quiet neighborhood. Beautiful west-facing views from high cliff site provided many spectacular sunset views as well as scenes of passing orcas, ferries, ships and boats, birds etc. Well-supplied kitchen.

Perfect for our three generation family vacation
From deer staring into your bedroom window early in the morning to magnificent sunsets in the evening, Eagle Rock is full of delightful surprises big and small. The house is actually two self-contained and fully equipped units, perfect for our three generational family visit. Our youngest daughter and husband and kids had to run of the basement suite while the other adults could (theoretically) sleep in upstairs in spacious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. The kitchen is ridiculously well equipped (two meat thermometers?) featuring everything from a snazzy wine cooler to a full drawer of spices. (We did add a bottle of dried basil. You’re welcome.) This is a professionally-run rental, and you can be confident everything will be in place, well maintained and of a high standard. If you want to grill on the propane barbecue, there’s not only one full tank in the grill but a back up just in case. Pots and pans of all sizes and descriptions abound. There are two coffee makers, upstairs and down. The lovely hot tub is clean and ready to enjoy. There is even a cable car lift (don’t lean on the gate!) to bring your luggage up and down from/to the parking area. Perhaps best of all, the setting is magnificent. The house is perched on a high cliff looking west over the channel to Saltspring Island. And it turns out the name Eaglerock is not just an affectation. A pair of bald eagles nest nearby and swooped daily across the coastline below us. Pauline was out of the country during our visit, but she left the house in the capable hands of Laurie, the housekeeper, who was helpful and welcoming and lived nearby. If you are looking for a comfortable, well appointed, spacious island rental in a gorgeous setting, you’ll be hard put to beat Eagle Rock. One caveat: the descent from the house to the cliffside sitting area is steep, but from there it drops straight into the ocean below. Kids need to be accompanied at all times.

Lovely Place, Amazing Sunsets
We had a really lovely time during our stay. The place was clean, bright, very spacious, and had excellent views of the sunset, really spectacular. We enjoyed the wood fireplace, large kitchen and barbecue. We didn’t end up using the hot tub but maybe we’ll try it out next time. Location was quiet and peaceful and just a short drive from amenities. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous weekend away at Pauline's beautiful home. Right on the water, we watched the boats go by, had fun in the hot tub, and just enjoyed the nature and stunning views. Pauline was incredibly welcoming, and responsive to any questions I had. I'd stay here again in a second. :)

Beautiful home on a beautiful island.
We had a wonderful stay here over New Years. There was lots of space for our group to spread out, and great living areas to hang out in. The two kitchens were a bonus, and they were really well provisioned. Great views of the water, even from the hot tub. Highly recommend.

Perfect Christmas Holiday
We stayed at the property on Pender Island from December 23 to 27th, there were 7 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 8. It could not have been more perfect. Beautiful home, breathtaking view. The kitchen was well stocked, we did bring most everything we needed but if you forget something I can almost guarantee the kitchen would have it. Pauline was terrific in responding to us when looking for kindling for the fireplace, it was already cut and bundled. My grandsons as well as the adults really enjoyed the foosball table. Nothing better than sitting in the hot tub with the snow falling. The area was in a quiet neighborhood, great for long walks. We could not have asked for more.

Excellent Place to Relax
We had a wonderful relaxing Thanksgiving weekend. I’m very impressed at how well stocked the kitchen is, many properties don’t have much more than forks, knives, and a few pots. Not this place! They have everything you need to cook wonderful meals, and a nice large kitchen with stunning views of the ocean. Our friends and family who stayed with us all loved the place!

I have lived on Pender Island since 1985. I fell in love with the island the moment I stepped off the ferry because of its breath-taking scenery and wonderful people. It is still the reason I keep coming back and sharing it with friends and family like yours.

Why they chose this property

"Eagle Rock" sits up high on the rock facing the ocean facing West. There is a stunning eagle's nest nearby, so the eagles fly by right in front of our windows.

It's quiet. We also get the best sleep in our lives there.

It is warm and inviting, and super bright! Because it faces West, there are spectacular sunsets every night.

What makes this property unique

The TWO stone fireplaces on each floor are my second favourite feature. The view is the first feature.

A large eat-in kitchen is a great place for many people to cook, sit at the island, sit at the table, and look at the stunning ocean view. The kitchen has tons of Quartz counter space, stainless steel appliances, and every cooking utensil you need.

Another unique benefit of "Eagle Rock" is that the house loves people. There's an upstairs space for "adults" and a downstairs space for "kids" if you wish. Both floors have two bedrooms each for a total of four and plenty of bathrooms, access to outdoors, decks, and separate kitchens. Our guests have appreciated the space.
