Hill City three night stay

We really enjoyed the cabin/loft like experience. I would have them do something about the small drop from the main room to the kitchen. I think we all tripped over it. But Lisa checked to see if we needed anything. Very nice people. The place is cute and centrally located in the Black Hills. I would definitely stay there again.

Family Road trip in the Black Hills

We had a great time in the Black Hills and loved our stay at Mountain Peaks Inn. It was perfectly cozy, yet just enough space for our family of 4. I didn’t even realize there was a 2nd bathroom before booking so it was a nice surprise for the teenager to have his own loft with bathroom. The location was central to all the activities we had planned and Hill City had a lot of cute shops and dining options within walking distance We loved that this Inn is family owned and that they even operated the attached coffee shop. So wholesome and amazing coffee and drinks. :)

Great location

Very nice place. The beds were comfy. My only complaint was that the lighting could have been brighter. location was perfect! It was only a couple blocks walking distance to shops and eateries. We enjoyed evenings on the deck of the Caboose Coffee shop which was made available to us. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Just Perfect

The perfect location to call “home” during your stay in Hill City. The attached coffee shop is wonderful! Waking up in the morning to get a freshly baked pastry and (in my opinion) the best London Fog Latte I have ever had was on of my favorite things on the trip! Central to so many hiking trails, just north of the Needle Highways and Custer State Park, and the Badlands. About 30 minutes south of Deadwood and other ghost towns, I can’t gush enough. I never write reviews, but I felt this family owned place deserved some good words. Next time I am bringing my husband and daughter!

We are the Stucky family. We are blessed to call the Black Hills home. We home educate and enjoy owning and operating our businesses, traveling, and exploring new places.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Hill City when visiting the Black Hills in the summer of 2015 and again 2020. We stumbled upon this beautiful home, which was remodeled to accommodate four guest cabins. Now, we have the privilege of calling Hill City home. Although we are new owners of this property, these cabins and suite have been available on VRBO since 2013.

What makes this property unique

This home is in the heart of Hill City and is walking distance to shops, galleries, restaurants, the Black Hills Central Railroad's 1880 Train, and the popular Mickleson Trail. Mountain Peaks Inn also features Caboose Coffee Company.
