Work Trip Stay
I needed a place to stay for 3 weeks during a project. The Kleb's were a lovely couple. They kept me loaded with paper towels and toilet paper. The house was very clean and was very serene at night in the spa. There's ton's of privacy and is surrounded in beautiful forest. The only downfall was a lack of wi-fi. But if you're looking to unplug, this place is perfect!

Beautiful, quiet place close to the giant redwoods
The place was wonderful, quiet, and beautiful. We had a group of 5 and there was plenty of sleeping space for everybody. Lots of outdoor games set up around the yard and the gorgeous garden and free produce were a huge plus. The hot tub was a nice perk too. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful!
Was adorable, and loved how close it was to my favorite trail (Drury-Chaney!) Also, didn't know there was a Tesla charger before I got in there but sooo handy!

Great place to unplug and relax!
I and my family enjoyed the stay. Since phone service was limited we engaged in more activities together, read books, and made good memories. Easy access to the Avenue of the Giants, Drury-Chaney Trail, Eel River, and various beaches were highlights. Relaxation is a vacation requirement and the hot tub and outdoor areas were great for this.

Best vacation rental ever!
Hollis is a fantastic host and the property is amazing - several acres of veggies and if you're staying there you can pick your own dinner. Definitely would make this a destination stop!

On the Ave!
Amazing location on the the Ave! Hosts were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the surrounding redwood parks and trail. The night sky is dark and great for stargazing if you don't mind a few bats flapping around. A nature lovers paradise with everything you need.

Avenue of the Giants' Best kept secret
Holly and Mel's place is the best kept secret in Humboldt Redwoods State Park! First of all, hosts are extremely welcoming and if you are dog person Aria will steal your heart! Don't miss out on blackberry popsicles because those are the best you've ever had.the place is perfect for day hikers and those who seek a getaway to disconnect from the busy world. This place is on our top 5 list of best stays.

Sweet cottagewith garden and hot tub
The property is as described. Very private. We had lots of problems upon arrival but suspect it was because we were very off season and the owners were away. Things got smoothed out and we had a lovely stay with our little dog.

Relaxing, birds, trees, fresh veg
This cottage has a private yard with fruit trees, badminton net, charcoal grill and views from the living room and kitchen. The hot tub is relaxing after redwood hikes. The hospitable hosts gave us fresh lettuce from their garden and one can buy homemade blackberry popsicles from their farm stand. The kitchen is well appointed. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

Perfect cabin getaway
I went with my aunt and mom and we had so much fun. The cabin is at the northern end of the Avenue of the Giants, which is such a magical part of the world. The owners live next door on a small farm where you can eat fruits and vegetables directly from the garden. There's a dog on the property that would come by and say hi. The cabin has basic provisions but no wifi and almost no cell phone reception, but we could have stayed another week and been happy. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to unplug in the redwoods.

Destress and reconnect
For a peaceful, relaxing retreat to the redwoods, we couldnt have found a better place than Holly and Mel's! Friendly host, very flexible with check-in and out process. Living space was cozy and perfectly sized for family of 4. While there is no wifi, we found ourselves playing games, enjoying the hot tub(best part of my day), playing badminton, reading and of course touring the majestic area surrounding the home. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, bedroom area and a bookcase full of books and games. Washer/dryer was a nice surprise as we didnt see notice it on the list of amenities. I would highly recommend this place while in the redwoods area.

A true Get-A-Way
We just completed our third stay here. It such a great way for entire family to get away from everything for a long weekend. No TV, no internet, no cellular. Just relaxing, hiking in the woods, soaking in the hot tub or doing some shopping up in Eureka, this is a great place. Firewood (fire starter, kindling, and wood is provided, as is a outdoor grill and charcoal) Tips: There's a full grocery store, Starbucks and great diners just a few minutes north in Fortuna; limited options, especially on Sunday, in Rio Dell and Scotia. We couldn't finish the puppy and duck puzzle or 7 year old bought. We left it it behind, hopefully you have better luck.

Relaxing getaway among the forest giants
This is a perfect location if you want to be near a lot of groves of the giant redwoods. Among others, two of our favorites were Founders' Grove and Rockefeller Loop, both just a short and scenic drive from the cabin. If you want to go north to check out the beaches near Trinidad, it's only about an hour away and Eureka is only 30 min away. There are even some nice groves within walking distance of the cabin. The location is ideal if you want to do a lot of exploring of the redwood forests, as we did. The cabin itself was very cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was a standout and we used it frequently. My partner said it was the best hot tub she'd ever been in. We thought the bed was very comfortable as well. There is also a washer and dryer which was a nice convenience to have. A couple of things to bring up, not as negatives, just so you can be aware. First, as others have said, cell phone service will either be weak or nonexistent, depending on your provider. I had a weak signal on AT&T and my partner had no signal on T-Mobile. It wasn't really a big deal to us but if you need to be connected 24/7 you should be aware of it. However, it was only a short 10-ish minute drive north to get in reasonable coverage. Also, there is no heat or AC in the cabin. There is a wood burning stove with some chopped wood outside if you want heat, though, and we had no need of AC in late April when we visited. Staying here was a great experience and we were happy we chose this option!

Rejuvenation
What a magical find. We wanted to be close to the Avenue of the Giants marathon my husband was running, and this is what was available, so i booked it. How lucky were we to score such a rare opening that is nestled in between giant redwoods, in a wide open space of flowers and veggies to nourish and comfort the soul, in a sweet cabin with all amenities needed and a hot tub fully updated and cleaned and hot and awaiting our soaking in of the stars (when the full harvest moon wasn’t too bright!) Such a treat and Holly so helpful and generous with her gifts. A joy and delight in surprise. We hope to return as soon as we can.

Charming rental in the redwoods
The location of this charming vacation rental is in a beautiful setting. The property’s owners have a massive organic garden and a produce stand where these fruits and vegetables can be bought. The house was very clean and nicely furnished, a very peaceful place to unwind and enjoy nature. I don’t want to say anything negative about this place but I must let the reviewers know that the beds are extremely uncomfortable, and it is a shame since everything else was so wonderful.
