Charming Intimate and beautiful.
Woodsy Retreat, was absolutely perfect for us. The owners really go above and beyond with the little details. I particularly enjoyed their little coffee station. So many choices and delights. It had all the convienence of home with a freling if camping outside. Sleeping with the windows open listening to the frogs and the the rain come down in very vomfortable beds gave us the ability to get some real needed dwep rest. Highly recommend Woodsy retreat for a small family or a couples get away

Peaceful spot in the forest
Such a sweet place surrounded by forest. Everything was clean and spotless. The kitchen was very well stocked and fun to cook in. The beds were so comfortable. We heard a Great Horned Owl in the trees one night and the frogs symphony.

Best Retreat in the Pacific Northwest!
This is our first family stay in a "Retreat" like area and I have to say ... the pictures alone does not do this place justice! We were guided by a lighted pathway to the downstairs of a home and then opened the door with a lot of welcome-ness to our home for the next 2 nights! There is a sign with a beautiful message, continental breakfast and treats everywhere! The home was relaxing and all items in them was carefully picked out to make our stay a pleasant one! We did do the trail to the entrance of Tolmie State Park (30 minute trail for us) and the spa was already on and ready to go! It was too cold for us to use the outdoor shower but we would definitely use it when we book again in warmer weather!! Towels were plushy and heavy (felt nice on skin!) and shower very clean! Host communication was beyond phenomenal! Home was spotless, from the floors to the walls to the beds. It was soothing and nice to be hanging out in such a comfortable home! I wish I can say MORE about this place yet, my words are limited on my review! Thank you Host for being so gracious and wonderful and thank you for your astonishing home you have shared with the world!

We loved our stay at Woodsy Retreat. Our hosts had welcome drinks, crackers and cheeses, and a lovely continental breakfast ready and waiting for us! We loved the cozy decore and homey feel. The pool table was such a treat! We will rent this anazing place again.

Woodsy Retreat plus hot tub!
We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it to others! The outside hot tub was a big hit, very private, and located adjacent to the forest, which is right outside the entrance, and offered easy access to trails. Inside was very spacious, with an open floor plan and two couches in the main room for group conversation. The gas stove in the corner provided a warm ambience. The generous host left a variety of snacks and breaded treats. It's in a quiet, rural neighborhood, but feels like you are miles away from civilization. Great getaway!

**AMAZING!****
I have stayed at several "rentals" and this place was amazing! One of the best we have stayed at! The little extras was so nice and wonderful. The breakfast treats, coffee/tea bar etc. Even cold beer in fridge!? Everything was super clean. Beds wonderfully comfortable. Everything you need to cook amazing meals. Cant say enough good things about this place! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing space

Wonderful location in the woods
If you’re looking for nature, this is the place. You can literally walk out the door and be on a hiking trail. The hosts were communicative throughout our stay. We were surprised by a number of unexpected treats, including continental breakfast, wine, cheese, bread and sweets. It was a nice surprise! The hosts are upstairs, but they're really quiet. We heard them moving around occasionally, but it wasn't a problem at all. The only slight negative was the pool table. Most of the cues didn't have tips, and the table isn't very level. I told the host and based on everything else we experienced, I'm guessing they weren't aware and will rectify it quickly. Again, not a huge deal, but if the pool table is a big draw for you, you might want to make sure it's been taken care of before you rent. Overall, I would 100% recommend the Woodsy Retreat!

Enjoyed the extras. Couldn’t believe the wonderful food and beverages that were provided. I think the VRBO site itself was a stumbling block as it relates to communicating. Clunky. Have to go to my email then hit a button to navigate to the site .

Incredibly Indulgent
We had a fabulous stay at Woodsy Retreat. The natural surroundings are so incredibly beautiful. Even in the cold and rain, we were able to enjoy them from the hot tub and the wonderful swinging daybed on the covered patio with a heater! Nature therapy is tougher in November in the PNW, but this retreat made it comfortable and accessible. The inside is also beautiful and decadently appointed. To say everything we needed was provided is an understatement. From fresh bread, snacks, and breakfast pastries to luxurious beds and robes - everything was high quality. This did not feel like a typical VRBO - instead, we felt like we were esteemed guests for whom only the best was provided!

Thoughtful hosts and great getaway!
Danica and Phil were very communicative and welcoming hosts! A friend and I stayed at the Woodsy Retreat for two nights and it was a wonderful experience. From the fresh bread, to the continental breakfast, the coffee, it was all so appreciated and all the special touches made the space the perfect spot to stay.

Get ready for a spa like visit to restore & renew !
A friend and I rented the Woodsy Retreat for our stay during a dance workshop and were delighted we did! This was one of the best rentals I have been to, with so much attention to detail. Super comfy beds, yummy breakfast provided, AMAZING hot tub facing the woods, we definitely will be returning. Dancia was so kind in her communication. Five stars and then some !!

Peaceful, relaxing and serene!
The Woodsy Retreat is truly a hidden gem! The home is warm and welcoming with an abundance of amenities. There wasn’t a single thing we could have possibly needed, it was perfect! The fresh bread, pastries, and coffee bar allowed for relaxing mornings. The bedding is superior and inviting. We enjoyed the living/kitchen area, played pool and spent many hours outside. The forest is gorgeous and tranquil. The hot tub was very nice after navigating Seattle traffic, after trips to Gig Harbor and Woodinville. We met Danica and her fur babies, they showed us the trails and their property. This is a very special place and we cannot wait to return. Looking forward to chatting with Danica, she is an amazing woman!

I loved staying in this property! We needed a get away from normal busy life and this was perfect. It feels like they thought of every possible thing we could need, including an abundance of snacks. The hot tub and forest trail were amazing!

Serenity in the Pacific Northwest!
This property is so beautiful! The photos represent it very well, but the scents and sounds of the forest make it an immersive, unforgettable experience. But the real WOW factor is the extra touches that Danica has imbued into her guest home. We were blown away by the fresh (still warm) loaf of bread that greeted us just inside the door, the wide array of snacks, drinks, and breakfast breads, and the well-stocked kitchen that had anything and everything that we needed. The fluffy cloud beds were incredibly comfy and kept us sleeping in longer than intended. My teen boys loved roaming the outdoor spaces, including a walk to Tolmie (caution - the downhill slopes on the walk there are quiet steep and treacherous if it's rained recently). I can't wait to return to stay again at the Woodsy Retreat! Note: the listing of beds/bedrooms on the VRBO site is misleading. There are two bedrooms, each with a king bed (or maybe California king?) and 2 expandable couches in the living room. The way it's written on the site makes it sound like one bedroom has one king and two queen beds.

Truly a Top Retreat Get-Away!
Danica and Phillip were the best VRBO home owners we have ever met! As soon as we entered the home, I could see and smell the cleanliness- and Danica's special little touches of Artisan bread (sliced) and in the freezer, more bread and Danish pastries in the kitchen, along with a beautiful snack bar and coffee/tea bar! We felt so welcomed, not to mention a bottle of wine with 2 glasses in the fridge. The welcome note on the chalk 'door' was so personalized! My best part - or should I say 'parts'included the hot tub in such a private setting with trees all around us - the swinging patio 'couch' - the bed and pillows were super comfortable - and the shower....I didn't want to get out of it! But the tops, were the chimes outside - I felt so relaxed and that I was at some monk's abbey on top of the mountains! We will definitely return and the only thing I would change is that we would stay for a longer visit! Thank you Danica and Phillip for your hospitality and such a magical homestay!

Beautiful Gem!
This place is beautiful, with a lot of special and thoughtful touches. It is both beautiful, cozy and tranquil inside and out. A lot of outdoor areas for sitting and dining. Beautiful view with trails that will take you to the water. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming and have thought of everything to make your stay amazing.

Great Birthday Getaway!
We came and stayed a few nights for my wife's birthday and had a great stay. There was delicious homemade bread waiting for us along with some other great goodies. The location is amazing with a short trail to the state park, perfect woods-walk location. Communication was amazing. Thanks for the great stay!

I spent 1 night here & it was an amazing relaxing night. I got lost trying to find the entrance because I arrived when it was dark and the hosts answered the phone immediately & directed me to it. It's very quiet , spacious , entertaining & very clean . I would most definitely rent it again!

Lovely!
We had a great stay in this light and very open-feeling basement apartment. It felt very private; although we could occasionally hear muffled sounds from our hosts upstairs, we never saw them. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the amenities were stellar: continental breakfast, coffee/tea bar, trail snacks, cookies, fresh bread, and extensive toiletries available in the bathroom. With the weather so mild, we were able to enjoy the outdoor patio/dining area, outdoor tub, and hot tub. Our 5 year old was able to make the trek to the rocky beach down the well maintained trail. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Who can live without good friends, family, great conversation shared with guests from around the world? Our Woodsy Retreat daylight walk-out is private and with the forest in the backyard equipped with a trail right out your door takes you to Puget Sound- Tolmie State Park, and beach access with a 10-minute walk. We have an outdoor spa; hot tub, outdoor shower & clawfoot tub, toilet/cabana, and sink.

Our guests know us as greats hosts for having the best retreat in nature - the place to be, we have had and continue to have travelers from all over the world staying here.
We lived in Europe for two years and my wife continues to travel the world. The gifts from her travels are culinary practices, a warm and beautiful home that travelers and guests enjoy to the fullest.
