Resort needs some TLC
Pros:
- Property is right on the beach
- Large pool area had plenty of available chairs
- Rooms were both located on the same floor
Cons:
Hotel Rooms:
- Bathrooms had peeling paint/water damage and no fan/ventilation
- Bath towels were abrasive/rough
- Shower drain was backed up causing a lot of water to pool in the tub during showers
- One bathroom did not have any soap and after 2 calls to the front desk we ended up washing our hands with shampoo
- Fridge was leaking water onto the floor in one of the rooms (notified front desk twice but no one was ever sent up)
- Overwhelming air-freshener-like smell in both rooms
Resort Overall:
- The ice machine was broken on our floor and after checking 4 other floors they were also all broken
- Hallway on our floor had a very bad smell (perhaps from the overflowing trash room)
- Elevators were incredibly slow
- Most (not all) staff members were quite rude (especially those on the pool deck)
Overall this property met our basic needs of being a place to sleep for 2 nights while we waited for our flight. Property has a prime location but is in desperate need of some long-overdue TLC.
