Sunset loft – newly renovated, beautiful one bedroom and one loft cottage.

You will love Sunset Loft it is A beautiful cottage overlooking the marsh with gorgeous sunset views. Features a loft which comfortably sleeps two children or young adults. Also included for your comfort are brand new stainless steel refrigerator/washer /dryer /dish washer . The sliding glass back door of Sunset Loft opens up onto to a private area where you can grill and look out onto one of the best sunsets on the point ! There are always birds to watch (egrets, herons, ibis, seagulls)! We are within two miles of Old Orchard beach and a block away from the beautiful seven mile Pine Point Beach. We are within a short drive to local attractions movie theatre, amusement park and water park, golf course and the beautiful city of Portland. Within walking distance of the cottage there are multiple restaurants and Maine Sea Food establishments that allow for take out or sitting outside enjoying the views. To make your vacation a little more adventurous! I have two bikes you can use to cruise the area as well as beach chairs and beach toys for the kiddos! You can rent all your toys at Fun and Sun rental within walking distance of the cottage, they have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards for rent. Catch sunset on the marsh or the ocean... take your pick! Overall an great vacation destination with multiple options for fun and sun within walking distance if you choose!

Great Stay

Our family had enjoyed our time in the loft. We had all the amenities we needed for a quick beach vacation. Good beach location as you are far enough away from the crowds of old orchard beach. Would recommend to a small family.

Very nice

We really enjoyed our week at the Sunset Loft. It is a lovely cottage that is vert comfortable, well decorated and well furnished. Super location with a short walk to the beach and amazing view of the marsh in the backyard. We will certainly try to come again for another stay.

Fabulous Scenic Retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Loft. We have stayed at other properties in Pine Point and this is by far our favorite. The cottage is beautifully updated with a spacious bathroom and master bedroom, and the loft is great for families or a girl's trip. The decor is charming and reflects the owner's love of ME. And then there are the stunning ever changing views of the Scarborough marsh. We loved seeing the tide rise and fall, as well as bird watching. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back! Thank you, Roma, for such a beautifully peaceful retreat!

Charming and relaxing

We really liked the cottage but I wouldn’t recommend for 4 adults as listed; it’s extremely tight for sleeping 4. 3 is comfortable enough. And the loft is good for kids younger than 10.

Five day stay in the middle of a humid July. Cottage was a cool respite, even up in the loft, which was large enough for our two teens! So close to the beach and fantastic restaurants within walking distance. We did not need to contact host as everything was in great shape and notes left by her perfectly informative.

Sunset Loft

We had a great stay at the Sunset Loft! It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and the view was gorgeous. It was a very convenient location with the beach nearby and great restaurants. If we ever go back to Maine, we know where to go!

Great Little Spot on Pine Point!

Great clean cottage on Pine point! Great back yard that backs up to the marsh. Cottage has two mini splits for AC/Heat and work amazing. New upscale kitchen, perfect spot for a family of 3 with 11 yo daughter. 5 min. to OOB, 15 min to Saco downtown! 5 min. walk to the beach.

The perfect pine point cottage!

Stayed at the Sunset Loft with my family (2 adults, two toddlers) and it was the perfect spot for our week at the beach. All the amenities you want with little kids like A/C for sleeping, a washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen, outdoor shower for rinsing off from the beach etc. We slept one kid up in the loft in a crib and one on the floor in the bedroom in a travel bed. The property is clean and has everything you need. 10/10!

Absolutely Perfect

The house has everything we could need or want. It was perfect for our family and so close to the beach. The washer and dryer made it easy to have clean beach towels, suits and clothes daily.

Wonderful Stay at the Sunset Loft

We had another wonderful stay at the sunset loft this again year (our 3rd time)! As always the cottage was bright, clean and so comfortable. It had everythng we could possibly need! The amazing backyard view of the marsh cannot be beat; we loved sitting outside especially at sunset! Pine Point Beach is just a 5 minute walk away and it's so pretty and such a walkable beach! And speaking of walking, there are several good restuarants within walking distance of the cottage. This is such a nice spot/area and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Thank you Roma for sharing your slice of paradise in Maine with us again this year; we hope to come back!

Love the Sunset Loft!

This was our second year to stay at the sunset loft; we liked it so much last year that we just had to come back! It's so bright and airy and Roma has the place so nicely decorated! It was so clean and comfortable! And I just love watching all of the birds in the marsh right in the backyard! The fresh flowers were such a nice touch too! We got take out most every night (you can walk to several good restaurants) and we especially enjoyed watching the sunset and eating at the table in the backyard. The beach is also within walking distance so we went to the beach every day too. Thank you Roma for another wonderful stay at your sunset loft!

Cute and well appointed cottage

We were pleased that the cottage matched the photos and though its a little cottage, it feels larger with the open concept, tall ceiling and every space so well utilized. Both the bathroom and kitchen were lovely, very clean and provided us everything we needed. The decor is cute and beachy and though there is a fair little walk to the beach, its not bad as we didnt have little ones or elderly with us. We used the bikes to explore and the binoculars to check out cranes in the marsh in the mornings. This cottage really tried to think of everything including an outside surf board shower that had hot water which was great after swimming in the ocean. We also took advantage of the local restaurants that we could walk to at nite for dinner which was nice and the sunsets are truly beautiful from the marsh side. We would most definitely go back, we truly enjoyed our time and this cottage and this end of the beach! Our only suggestion is we would just take alot more bug spray which has absolutely nothing to do with the owner of this cottage.. its just mother nature and a marsh mean lots of mosquites early morning and evening.

Great Little Cottage in a Fantastic Location

My wife and I stayed at Sunset Loft for a week in August 2023. The description is very accurate, and as everyone has noted, Roma has done a great job of outfitting and decorating the cottage. We only used the loft to store our suitcase, but I’m sure it would be fine and fun for a couple kids. Plenty of storage space in the bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen well equipped, as I cooked several meals here. I’m not a fan of gas grills, but this two-burner Weber got plenty hot. Very easy three-short-block walk to the gorgeous beach. And the small backyard facing Scarborough Marsh is magical, surrounded by bird feeders. I timed this visit around the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. We only had a couple clear night skies, but I did manage to catch some shooting stars while sitting in the backyard.

A nice place at a relaxing location

We enjoyed our stay, it was just the right size for a family of 3. Pine Point was laid back . We had quick access to beach and great places to eat. Highly recommended spot!

Relaxing!

We truly enjoyed this property and plan to stay again next year. The cottage was just adorable outside and inside. Roma left flowers and just had really nice decorations that made the cottage feel like home.

Wonderful Little Slice of Maine

My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the sunset loft. We loved the way it was decorated and it had everything we could possibly need! And it was so clean and spotless! We walked to the beach every day (some days more than once!) as it was about 5 minutes away and walked to nearby restaurants (which were great) as well. The backyard overlooks this beautiful marsh and we saw lots of birds! The yard is also very nice; we loved seeing all the birds/butterflies there too. Thank you Roma for a wonderful stay; we hope to come back again someday!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This cottage is just beautiful. The attention to detail was impressive. Every inch of the space is decorated beautifully with a beach theme. It has everything you need, the host Roma has thought of everything and more. The cottage was exactly as it looks in the photos and was as described, also very clean and organized. Short walk to a beautiful beach just a street over. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. You can easily walk or bike to many locations. Having two bikes provided was so great. The back yard was quiet and peaceful looking out over the marsh it was just beautiful. I would go back to this cottage in a second.

New happy place

I can’t say enough good things about our Sunset Loft experience, from booking to communicating with Roma and finally, our stay. The loft is thoughtfully stocked with almost anything you can think of (I’m making notes for things I don’t have to pack next year!), is beautifully decorated with the smartest use of space, and the location cannot be beat. The sunset views from the backyard are unforgettable and the beach is a three minute walk away. Several delicious restaurants were also within an easy walk. Our stay was one of our better trips to Maine, and we visit several times a year. We can’t wait to return to our new happy place!
