Completely renovated 2 bedroom/1 bath guest house on a picturesque, private 18-acre property, nestled in the valley between the Taconic and Dorset Mountains in Dorset, Vermont.

The property is an ideal base from which to explore all that southern Vermont has to offer – access to an active arts, music and theatre scene in Dorset and Manchester; 7 miles from upscale shopping and resort activities in Manchester; an easy drive to the ski slopes at Stratton Mountain and Bromley; surrounded by hiking trails of all levels to enjoy all seasons, including during Vermont’s famous Fall foliage; and close to both family friendly and fine dining restaurants.

The property features a small orchard, walking paths around the flat, open, private land with 360 degree views of the Taconic and Dorset Mountains, and adjoins a town forest that features well-maintained walking trails down to the Mettawee River, one of Vermont’s best trout streams. Clear nights feature incredible sunsets and spectacular star-gazing.

The air-conditioned guest house sleeps six with brand new furnishings and includes a master bedroom with a queen bed, second bedroom with 2 twin beds, great room with a fireplace, TV and a queen sofa bed and a full bathroom with a shower and soaking tub. Accommodations include a brand new, fully stocked full kitchen with a refrigerator, range and dishwasher, washer/dryer and wi-fi access. All linens are provided.

Perfection!

The perfect cottage for a VT weekend! Clean, beautifully finished, in a charming town, and an easy drive to Bromley and Stratton. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back again.

Our Favorite Spot

We rent in the area often, and this is a favorite for our family, especially this time of year (fall). The location is perfect and in close proximity to our favorite fall spots. The yard and hiking trails keep my kids busy and happy! We’ll definitely be back!

The perfect little house!!

This house is absolutely perfect for a mountain getaway. It is so cozy and stocked with everything you need! The location is perfect as it is so close to cute little towns and hiking/skiing opportunities. Charissa is extremely accommodating and truly cares about her guests. We absolutely love it here and can’t wait to be back!!

Absolutely Breathtaking

One of the best stays! The guest house is perfect and every detail has been thought out. The design, cleanliness and property are immaculate. 360 degree views of the mountains! Can’t recommend this place high enough as it was one of the most comfortable stays and I would say top notch even better than The Woodstock Inn. So grateful to the hosts for sharing their guest house with us.

Family Holiday Weekend Ski Trip

The guest house was situated on a beautiful property with beautiful views. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room and fireplace made for a comfortable spot for board games and movies after a day on the mountain. The host was incredibly kind and responsive. This is our second stay in the guest house and it’s always a family favorite. The access to the waking trails and river keep my kids busy and so happy. We had a quick water issue but Charissa was very responsive and we got it resolved.

Beautiful property!

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our stay in Charissa’s charming guest house. It is part of a stunning property in Dorset that provided endless views and opportunities to run and hike outside. The kids had a blast on the hiking trails in the woods and cried the last day when it rained and they couldn’t get back to their favorite spot by the stream. The house is fully stocked with everything you’d need for your stay, and we enjoyed several nights beside the gas fire in the living room. We cannot wait to come back!

A lovely retreat

This was a beautiful private retreat. The on property walking paths which connected to blazed hiking trails was amazing for restoring oneself at the end of the day. The cottage was really nice , really comfortable and a pleasure to enjoy. Local restaurants were excellent in Dorset and Manchester. Golf, hiking and shopping were awesome.

Gorgeous stay in Dorset, VT

We had a wonderful time at this VRBO. The home is even more beautiful in person than it is online. The host was very communicative and the home was accommodating for all of our needs. We would recommend this property if you’re looking for a quiet and secluded spot near Manchester!

Gorgeous guest house

This 2 bedroom guest house was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and well equipped. It was the perfect retreat after a cold day on the mountain skiing. We enjoyed the fireplace and cooking up a meal in the new kitchen. The view of the mountains and access to local walking trails was an unexpected bonus.
