Beautiful Wooded Lakefront Property with 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths!
Relax and unwind in a roomy comfortable house in the woods right in the heart of the Keweenaw. Kick back on the deck and soak in the view with your coffee in the morning or your favorite beverage in the evening. There are 2 kayaks and a small fishing boat with oars to enjoy the serene inland lake, and the surrounding forest is a great place for a nature walk or bike ride, with amazing Fall color. We are 15-20 (relaxing) minutes to restaurants and bars, 10 minutes (can ride) to snowmobile trails, and 30 minutes to slopes or Houghton/Hancock (you can cross country ski, snow shoe or ice fish right from house)! Reconnect with your family or friends around the fire under the stars or wood stove, share a meal made in our large, fully equipped and well stocked kitchen (we have a wide array of cooking/baking staples and herbs and spices), or on the big gas grill. There are 3 different seating areas and 3 eating areas (one on each level and deck), with large tables accommodating 8 to 12 inside and an outdoor dining table with room for 6 to 8. Nearby, experience one of Lake Superior's finest sandy beaches, pick blueberries, or take a hike to Hungarian Falls. Copper Harbor and Brockway Mountain are around 48 miles away with many points of interest along the scenic drive. On a rainy day, visit historic Calumet, the rock and mineral museum at Michigan Tech, or tour the Quincy mine. There are plenty of board games, pool or ping pong, or just curl up with a book and watch the snow fall (winter) or listen to the birds sing and the frogs chirp (every other season). If you prefer to stream a movie or a game, we have HBO, Disney, Hulu, ESPN, Netflix and more. There is a full laundry and we provide most of the things you will need, including Public Goods toiletries, comfortable mattresses, linens, paper products and pretty much everything else!

This is a very quiet property right on the lake. The house had everything we needed and we had a great time! The owner was easy to contact and great to work with.
This property hit all the things we needed for our group of 10. We loved the remote location and the view from the deck. Well stocked with all the necessities and more. I highly recommend this property for your U.P. stay!
The house was great and spacious! The living areas and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking and the outdoors. It is out from town in a very natural area and that is something our family enjoys. The owners were very helpful!
Our stay was wonderful! The home is spacious, clean and beautiful. The location was perfect - quiet and lots of nature to enjoy. We would highly recommend this place.
As close as you can get to perfection. Large home with plenty of room. Three huge bathrooms and a wonderful kitchen. This place has all the amenities you could ask for. It was clean, organized and on a beautiful piece of property!
Very relaxing and comfortable!
We had an amazing time! It was a beautiful home that was in a very peaceful place. There was plenty of wildlife and great weather. Definitely a great family vacation with plenty of room.
The house is incredible!!
We cooked many meals in… kitchen is very well stocked .
Everyone had their own space and comfortable bed.
We totally enjoyed the rec room area on lower level.
Wonderful memorable weekend.. we will never forget
This is a really nice house with lots of room for groups to be together yet spread out to do different things. It has the best equipped kitchen of any place I’ve ever been in! You can cook, bake and grill without missing by a beat. The rooms are comfortable and the seating areas are cozy. You need to realize though that getting there requires driving on some unpaved, pebbly roads for quite a few miles.
This house and our host exceeded all expectations. To say it's well appointed is an understatement. There were so many thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.
The house was spacious, the furnishings lovely, and the host was very responsive. It is on back (gravel) roads, but we loved the access to nature and Nancy gave us lots of ideas about things to do in the area. The kitchen was the best stocked VRBO kitchen we've ever seen. We would definitely stay here again!
This property is secluded and gorgeous. Nancy was above and beyond accommodating. There’s nothing like winter on Keeweenaw and there’s no better place to come see it.
The property is well maintained even thou there was some recent storm damage to trees and out building. Communication with the owner was very helpful and appreciated. Would stay there again.
My family loved the large house! I loved the 5 burner gas stove and I don't cook much! Very private property, quiet and relaxing. Nancy the owner was very easy and quickly able to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here!
Great place to stay. For snowmobiling it was a little tough to get to the trail only because of lack of snow. We enjoyed our weekend . Thanks again Dave
We stayed here on a snowmobiling trip in the peninsula and had a great time. The house is very spacious and we had great communication with the owners as needed. Trail access was easy via local roads with plenty of snow along the edges. Thanks for sharing your home for our trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and easily accommodated 8 adults. There were many extras, kitchen was fully stocked, bedrooms were very comfortable, many games and books to enjoy. The fishing boat was great, fire pit perfect! We enjoyed the large dining table too. Everything was immaculate. Thank you for bring such great hosts!!!
The house was very spacious with a well equipped & large kitchen area. The view of the lake from the deck was impressive. Our first impression upon entering the home was how inviting & warm it was ...
Beautiful large lakefront home in secluded woods. Exactly what we were looking for. Anything you need for vacation is available for you. Great well stocked kitchen, beautiful views, comfortable seating, spacious bedrooms and baths. Pool/ping-pong table and many games provided to keep you busy in the house if the weather keeps you inside. We traveled to and hiked at area beaches, waterfalls, and up to Copper Harbor.
My family and I stayed here through the last week. It is off the beaten path but is in a very peaceful location, right on the lake. During the day, when we weren’t exploring, we enjoyed listening to the birds and at night we listened to the frogs and cicadas. We even had a couple of wildlife visitors. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. We spent lots of time on the water in both the kayaks and the row boat. We enjoyed the game space in the basement and played a family game almost every night.
Nancy was very helpful with anything we needed and was quick to respond to any inquiries.
We loved the tranquility. We would definitely stay here again.
A beautiful place! Totally secluded, peaceful, and quiet!
We enjoyed 5 days and nights at this little hidden gem deep (really deep) in the woods! The property was very clean and EXTREMELY well-stocked with quality furnishings, bedding/linens, dishes, etc! There are a multitude of things to keep you busy on a rainy day, children and adults alike. The host was over-the-top helpful and responsive with any questions regarding the property; or the area as far as recreational activities. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a getaway in a quiet area .
