Beautiful Vacation Home on Crystal Clear Bear Lake

Wake up overlooking crystal clear Bear Lake from our beautiful wrap around deck! Enjoy the private, serene setting just steps from Bear Lake. Our beautiful home has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms + additional sleeping space. Two stone fireplaces, soaring ceilings and large windows overlooking the lake make this a true Northern Michigan getaway!

Our home is available year-round! In Summer enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. There are also numerous golf courses in the area. In Fall and Winter spend time hunting, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Access ORV/snowmobile trails just minutes from the house on M-72. Or head on over to Grayling for sledding, tubing and skiing at Hanson Hills Recreation Area.

We have a cozy fire pit to enjoy on cool evenings. There's plenty of outdoor seating for gathering, dining and just relaxing.

We offer three kayaks, 1 canoe, paddles and life jackets for your enjoyment. There is a dock with one lift for your PWC (1). There are additional posts so that you may secure your boat alongside our dock without getting in the water.

***Please note High Speed Boating Permitted Only from 11am to 7:30pm***

**Please note there are dirt roads leading up to our home. In the event of snow, you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle and good tires to access the road directly leading to our home**
**Please note there is a security camera outside the home that points toward the back door. There is NO recording done inside the home**

Our home is about an hour from Traverse City and situated almost exactly between Kalkaska and Grayling. The location is ideal for an Up North getaway yet very close to Michigan's top destinations.

*Fully equipped kitchen with coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, and refrigerator/freezer (+ second fridge/freezer in basement)

*Laundry room with washer and dryer

*Family room/dining area with beautiful lake views, tv, gas fireplace. Two double sliding doors lead to the large wrap around deck with grill, dining table and additional seating

*Main floor has 2 bedrooms (one queen and one full), a full bathroom and a sofa bed

*Upstairs features a loft sleeping area with two bunk beds, a full bathroom and a small bedroom with one additional bunk bed

* Basement living space includes plenty of seating, tv, gas fireplace, dining table, game tables, a futon and a sofa bed

*We have plenty of toys, books and games for children. We have two pack and plays and two high chairs. There are utensils and cups/plates/bowls for small children

Extended family vacation

This was our 2nd year staying at this lake house. We absolutely love the location, the amount of space in the house for all of our family, the amenities, the cleanliness, and the quick response from the owner, with any of our questions. We enjoyed being in the lake during the day and play foosball and air hockey at night. The large table in the family room was great for playing games at night when the grandchildren were asleep upstairs. We would definitely rent this property again.

Lake House Fun

The house was perfect for our family! We had everything we needed, plenty of linens, and kitchen items. The kids loved the game room and games. There lake was warm and clear. We fished off the dock and took many trips on the canoe and kayaks. We had many conversations on the deck watching the lake.The homeowner was so helpful. It was an amazing week. Can’t wait to come back!!

Lots and Lots Of Stairs

We loved this place! The view is beautiful as well as the house itself. Everyone had a wonderful time and the kids enjoyed the game room. Make sure you can handle all the stairs to the lake, there are 73 in total. A couple small things: as a suggestion, it would be a great idea to have a whole house generator installed for the guests in the event of a power failure. We lost power on the second day for about four hours. In checking on the situation, I found out that the plower does go off on occasion. Also, the grill needs to be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly. We had a wonderful time!

5 sisters on a Post summer trip. Although weather not conducive for water sports we had a grand time. The competitive sisters played air hockey. We took a trip to the dunes and thrilled in traverse city. Lovely spit and lake. Cant wait to visit again

This property was perfect for our family for the week - we travelled with three adults and three kids, and there was room for everyone to spread out. The lake was beautiful as well. We loved it so much we already reserved our return trip next year!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved being in the loft. The lake was absolutely gorgeous and worth the walk down there, which is how we spent most of our days. We were a large group and felt the house was comfortable for us.

Wonderful summer vacation spot

The host was very friendly and accommodating. She answered any questions we had promptly. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the waterfront/beach area was great for our grandchildren. We enjoyed the spacious deck, amazing sunsets, kayaks, air hockey table, and foosball table. It was an ideal house for our extended family vacation. We are considering renting again next year.

Great Northern Michigan Getaway

Stacy was a terrific host, answering any questions we had in a timely fashion. The house was clean and well suited to comfortably host our group of 10+. We took advantage of the nearby restaurant (Bear Lake Inn) as well as the golf course down the road (Timber Wolf). The food was terrific, beer was cold and the golf course was nicely maintained. The sunsets were beautiful and the cool summer nights were most welcome!

We had a wonderful time at the Bear Lake cabin. Accomodations were spacious and very clean. Had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was very easy. Could use some tree trimming for a better view of the lake from the deck and relocate the fire pit down by the water with some seating. Overall, we had a great stay!

This place was perfect for our family. We have 3, 3 and under. Plenty of space and a beautiful clean lake. I wish we could have seen a little more of a lake view from the deck but in return we had wonderful shade. Stacy was so helpful and very responsive to any questions we had. Bear Lake 2022

This is the second property that we have stay in at Bear Lake. This house has a beautiful layout. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable for the 2 older boys and 2 older girls that were with us. The Neiborhood and surround properties are some of the most polite people you will meet. We had a couple things come up but Stacy was quick to respond with any questions we had. We look forward to renting this property again.

Hill top Gem.
