Beautiful views, comfortable house

The house was a great fit for our family gathering. It is well equipped for large groups (sheets, linens, kitchen supplies, etc) and spacious for hangout time and kid play time. Cheryl was responsive and accommodating with our request for an early check-in and a question about checkout. The street parking setup was even easier than described; we often parked most cars above because it was easier for coming and going.

Beautiful stay by the lake

My group really enjoyed our stay at Cheryl's lakefront property. This location really can't be beat! You are treated to breathtaking views of the lake around every corner in the house. The proximity to Seattle was also nice, as it was only a short 15-20 minute Uber ride to get downtown. Cheryl was also super responsive and attentive. Can't say enough good things about our stay!

Beautiful house and setting.

We loved visiting Seattle and all the wonderful attractions, and then coming back to a house with a beautiful setting and playing games with my grand children. Quick communication with owner with quick answers to all questions. We would stay here again if we come back.

Seattle Family Vacation

My family and I visited Seattle for 5 days. We had a group of 16 people and this cozy home with beautiful, scenic views of Lake Washington was more than accommodating. Our host, Cheryl, was great! We arrived a little earlier than planned and she had no issue with us checking in a little earlier than planned. The home was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location was great - with a nearby park we visited to play pickleball and a cozy Ethiopian coffee shop within walking distance. We would gladly stay here again and I recommend this to anyone looking for a large home with a beautiful view!

Great location and stay!

We stayed here while attending a conference in downtown Seattle. The location was perfect to get away from the city and enjoy some great views but close enough that we could explore downtown. The place was goregous and had everything we needed! Cheryl was a great host and super responsive!

Seattle getaway

We had made amazing memories during our stay here. Beautiful view and lovely ambiance. There were a few minor details that did get in the way of comfort and privacy like mold in the shower curtain in the multi-bedded room and the door did not lock properly. The dishwasher in the main kitchen did not work, the kitchen stove was not cleaned as well as the grill which had a layer of mold on it. Again, minor details but did alarm for concern at one point. We were able to book the bottom unit last minute to host everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it fit our family and friends comfortably at the end of the day.

Great for retreats!

I hosted a small group of women for a retreat weekend. It was a beautiful environment to rest and refresh in. plenty of room for everyone, great view and very clean. Instructions were simple and not overbearing and the host was gracious, easy to communicate with and accommodating when unexpected snow hit.

Beautiful property terrible host

Booked this place for my wedding party after looking at the amazing reviews. The place was beautiful and my guests had an amazing stay with incredible views. The parking instructions were very confusing and the host called me to complain about it, the call was 5 minutes before I walked down the aisle, I told her the same, she was very in empathetic, I still passed on the message to my guests who took care of it as soon as they could. I was charged a huge cleaning fee, so I never asked my guests to clean after themselves while checking out, they still collected all the garbage and packed them up in a corner. But a few hours after checkout I am harassed on my personal phone by the host with very wild complaints that there was garbage all around the house and that the towels were thrown down the stairs , I checkout sooner than some of my guests, I called each one of them and asked if that was true, they clarified that they left the used towels on the floor upstairs as they would in any other stay and that they took the additional pain of picking all the garbage downstairs and leaving them in a bag in a corner. No one threw anything down the stairs. The host was asking for my Venmo to charge me extra for cleaning. The whole conversation a day after my wedding was so rude and unpleasant.

Gorgeous home and view of Lake Washington

This home is pretty, and the back windows allow a stunning view of Lake Washington. My family was very comfortable in this home—we had the top two floors. My parents, who are 80 years old, had some trouble with the stairs, but for most people who stay, this won't be a problem. Cheryl, the owner, was kind and responsive. We visited the area for my son's wedding, and it was centrally located for all our events. We had a very nice week in this pretty home.

Spectacular house on Magnificent Setting

We have done annual road trips for football games for years. A large group of friends finds a large rental to make home base on the trip. This is probably the nicest place we've stayed in our travels. The property is quite luxe, with mostly (all but one) en suite bedrooms. Master is special. Rest of bedrooms very nice with 3 total having lake views and balcony access. The common area — kitchen, dining room, living room, game area — is open concept and made for the perfect place for the gang to hang out, with large windows running the width of the area for spectacular views. Cheryl was responsive to our needs during the stay. The battery was dead on the door lock and she got someone over to get us in quickly. The place is better appointed than many rentals we've stayed at where you can tell no one lives there because they lack basic kitchen accessories. Seattle was a great place to visit and this house was the perfect place to house us.

Cousins Retreat

This property is hands down one of the best if not the best place we’ve stayed. The home had all the amenities we needed and more. The view is breathtaking and the environment was very peaceful. Cheryl is an excellent host which just put the icing on the cake. This one is a tough one to beat! I would love to stay at this property again if the opportunity presents itself. My cousins and I enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Gorgeous spot on Lake Washington

The house is well appointed with comfortable beds. The view is amazing. Just be aware that not every bedroom can have air conditioning on at the same time. Usually not an issue for Seattle, but they do get the extreme days once in awhile. We had a great time and the host was very responsive and helpful.

No real AC

This house is nice and big and is great for maybe 6-8 persons. (We had 12) Kitchen was well stocked and nice. But with no real AC. There are 2 mini splits (1 downstairs and 1 upstairs in bunk room) other bedrooms have portable AC units you must vent out the windows and fans. And if you run too many portables it throws the breaker. It was consistently warmer in the house than outside. As a group of 55+ adults from the Gulf coast area if you say "house has AC" we would expect adequate AC. One couple had to leave as sleeping in the house was too warm for them (temp was 77- 80) The last night was comfortable as the temp outdoors went down. Also note one bedroom has no access to a bathroom without walking through one of the other bedrooms. And there is a extra fee for each guest after 6 guest per night. This was new to us as if a house is advertised for x (22) amount of guest the advertised price is what we have paid in the past without the hidden fee. Our group rents 3/4 VRBOs per year and this is the first issue we have had that could not be resolved with host. After our stay we discovered multiple reviews regarding the AC issue. Our bad for not doing better research. Thanks to Anne at VRBO resolution team for her help.

Beautiful Location

The house was lovely and spacious, fitting our team comfortably. Unfortunately, the oven was out of order, and we had considerable food to prepare. Additionally, the internet was down. However, the host responded promptly, and the internet service was restored on the same day. We were also permitted to use the stove in an extra apartment.

Little Bro's 40th Bday

Our family was able to gather from around the US to celebrate. It was an incredible week and family reunion! There was plenty of beds for everyone. The kitchen was so big and easy to cook in and plenty of room for everyone to gather. My dad brought his boat and it was easy to use the dock. The water was so clear and warm! My whole family would recommend the property!!!

Cold plunge ! Even colder property manager !

4 families 3 nights before cruise: ok house- bad management! whoever manages property has minimal or zero experience ! House this size and at that price lacking a lot of things ! Body wash or shampoo was not provided in showers , only skinny soap bars! We needed to go shop right away. Garbage bags in the kitchen- provided 4 garbage bags for 3 days so bought more ! 3 wine glasses in the whole house so if you are wine drinkers prepare to drink from water glasses or bring own! Cereal bowls 2 bowls for 20 ppl ! Property manager not reachable or always too busy , we could not get in house because lock was not working! Manager kept on repeating she is on the lake with no wi fi and we need to wait! Lock was fixed only next day so had to leave all our stuff unlocked while at dinner! Water heater broke second day of the stay! NO HOT water for 36 hours so cold showers for everyone:))) Manager suddenly not on the lake anymore but driving from Ohio to solve water issue and cant call any company to fix boiler right away ! We asked for at least one day refund - we were refused ! Her explanation we left some spoons outside, some ice cream stains on the patio and blamed us that she found door to basement room open (we did not use that room !!!) so no refund to us ! We took video how we cleaned the whole house so have proof, took all sheets down, washed dishes ,even took towels and garbage from bathrooms, etc. We travel at least 10-12 time a year and would NOT recommend this property!!!

We built the Bella Vita in 2003 and saw the need for vacation rentals as the industry is grown more each year. Our home is very unique than any other properties due to the en-suite baths offer in 5 bedrooms 4 include en suite baths. This has been very attractive for corporate retreats, large family reunions with the relax atmosphere living in a home yet close to down town sight seeing adventures, and a quick sea plane ride to the San Juan Islands.
