This is our second stay at this lakehouse. We love it! The porches and dock are where we spend most of our time. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are super comfy! We brought our pontoon and jet skis to the dock as well. This is such a relaxing place to unplug and recharge your soul! Highly recommend!
The cabin was located on the lake with a beautiful view and a great dock with a sun deck on top. The steps down to the dock were not bad but there were 56 steps down from the parking spot to the house which made it pretty thought getting all your supplies to the house, but thank goodness we had sever strong men and a couple of your athletic young women to carry them down. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house was perfect plenty of room for us to gather and socialize. The Cherie was great to work with. The neighbors were not so great, we had friends from Bear Paw to ride over on their boat to visit us one afternoon before sunset. We sat on the dock and listened to music and the neighbors called Cherie complained and even walked over to ask us to turn it down. We had a great time and made lots of fun memories with our family and friends.
We loved our stay at this house. The house is very comfortable and has a great kitchen with plenty of kitchen tools for cooking. Which we did a lot of. The decks are great too. Especially the upper one. We spent hours enjoying the view and watching the birds. We even saw a bald eagle catch a fish! The dock is great as well. Our kids loved jumping off the top into the lake. We brought our boat and kept it there at the dock. It rained a couple of the days during our stay but it didnt matter as there is plenty of room in the house fornus all to stay comfortable and busy playing games, reading, or watching a movie. Some people have mentioned the stairs. There are a bunch of them but it didn't bother us at all. Moving your things in and out will get you several flights of stairs on your exercise app...lol. One other very important thing...the beds were very comfortable. We will be reserving this house again for sure in the future. Thank you Cherie!
Within just a few minutes of our arrival we coincidentally met our host Cherie. She is a wonderful host with excellent communication throughout our stay and very personably. Her home is incredible I’m no master chef but I can appreciate a true chef’s kitchen including all the Pampered Chef accessories. Wonderful screened in sitting area off the main deck next to the kitchen for morning coffee. All the appliances are fully functional and newer as are all the furnishings. Wonderful multilevel dock for swimming fishing or whatever you want to do on the water. This secluded lakeside vacation home will not disappoint!
Great family vacation!! Very large cabin right on a beautiful clean lake. Fun jumping off dock and swimming. Comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen very well equipped (except needs a Keurig) Great cardio workout out on the many stairs everyday. Great location in a nice safe secure community. Marina very close for boat rental. Easy check-in/ check out. WiFi calling in cabin but no cell service within 20 minutes of cabin. Not hard to find but be sure to have good directions. Parking was a bit scary for us flatlander Floridians but we got the hang of it quickly. Would definitely stay again!
Nightmare Homeowner. We rented this home and the owner is a nightmare.
This homeowner is a nightmare. First when we had a problem with the internet she responded with "this is not New York". So we did without the internet. When we arrived she said we could not use one of the beds as it broke with the last guest and it was too hot in the loft area anyway. Then she controlled the ac remotely. She insisted that the temperature could not be over 78. She said the system would freeze up. I own a VRBO and take great pride in the care of the properties we rent. We have never had a problem until now. What a rude lady. The lake was beautiful but this house views the boat rentals. We tried to just live with the poor conditions and try to enjoy our stay.

Treated Unfairly
The real problem that occurred when I stayed at this cabin was a piece of old wooden furniture broke due to wear and age but was accused of reckless behavior and instead of discussing the issue or come to some kind of understanding.. I was blindsided with a VRBO email notifying me that I was charged the maximum amount of money ($ALOT)for damage! This came after I texted with owner of the circumstance . She told me didn’t even live in same state and that her housekeeper was the only one to see the piece of furniture..
(Cabin was not cleaned well , full of clutter and an enormous amount of personal photos & belongings..EVERYWHERE) That didn’t ruin the stay though. The end of our stay was ruined by the unfair charge..
The house was beautiful with an amazing view. Our family had a blast and made great memories.

Single professional loves to travel and loves the tranquility of this get a way mountain home. My family started coming to Bear Paw in 1987 and we were able to build our dream vacation home in 2004. My 8 year old grandson loves to spend time with me away from television screens and have one on one time.
Why they chose this property
A true destination getaway. Bring your groceries and one pot meals because you won't want to leave when you come. Surrounded by 3/4 National Forest you are destined to relax. The house is right next to the lake and there are stairs from the driveway. Sit in the screened in porch and listen to nature as you have a nightcap. Swim, swing on the boatdock or fish. The lake is crystal clear so swimming or floating is a must. We do not allow pets. There are steps at my mountain home. Please be conscious of noise with neighbors.
