About this property

Highly Rated, Contemporary Wine Country Home with Sweeping Views

This is an idyllic place. A beautiful 4+ bedroom, 3 bath Wine Country home with sweeping valley views on 6 acres with plenty of room, and away from all. Everything has been updated, including an incredible kitchen makeover. There are views from every room. The expansive outdoor decking and gardens are framed by large windows and sliding glass doors. Private, yet within easy reach of all of Northern Sonoma County’s attractions, the home’s layout is perfect for a large family gathering or for just a few friends.

It is located on a hilltop with 180° views of the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. The home, accessible by an easy 10 minute drive from U.S. 101, just off Highway 128, a favorite cycling route, is 5 minutes from downtown Geyserville, 20 minutes from Healdsburg, 20 minutes from Lake Sonoma, and 15 minutes from numerous vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek valleys

This Geyserville contemporary ranch home features two master suites, located at opposite ends of the home for privacy, one with a California king bed, the other with a queen. Both bedrooms have modern en suite bathrooms. In addition to the 2 master suites, there is one bedroom with bunk beds and a queen bed, another room with a queen pull out couch, and a den with a twin trundle bed. A third modern bathroom is in the main hall near the den and one bedroom. All told, the house can sleep up to 10 people comfortably.

The living room with vaulted ceilings, expansive glass, comfortable sofas and sitting areas, and wood burning fireplace opens into a large dining/kitchen area. The dining room table, when expanded, can easily seat up to a dozen persons. Both the living room and dining areas have large sliding glass doors connecting to the deck, and providing stunning mountain and valley views. The copper topped kitchen counter provides a welcoming space, be it for breakfast or for cocktails. Meanwhile, the 6 burner Dacor stove, LG French door refrigerator, and soapstone counters will entice even the most hesitant cook into the kitchen to prepare delicious wine country cuisine.

While it is easy to stay in the house, enjoying its comfort, style, and amazing views, the 6+ acre outdoor area is also a jewel. Comfortable lounge chairs, outdoor sofas, and umbrellas bring the living room outdoors. A level lawn provides a green oasis and play space, and then opens to an arc of fruit trees, including multiple varieties of plums, pears, apples, figs, lemons, oranges, and, of course, grapes.

Perfect for a Sonoma getaway

My friends and I stayed at Cathy's property over 4th of July weekend, and it was wonderful. The house is spacious, has comfy furniture, and an INCREDIBLE kitchen (truly shocked by all the cook wares and supplies!!). The views are unbeatable and having all the outdoor space was such a pleasure during a beautiful weekend. We loved lounging on the day beds, grilling out, and eating together at the outdoor and indoor dining tables. Cathy was immediately available when we had a question and worked quickly to resolve our need. The house is right down the road from really great wineries and a 20ish minute drive to Lake Sonoma. It's also super close to downtown Geyserville for any last minute groceries, getting food to go, or needing a place to have a drink. 10/10 would recommend!

A wonderful place in wine country

Our daughter's wedding was in Geyserville, so the family decided it would be nice to rent a house together. Cathy's home was beautiful beyond our expectations, instructions for arrival were crystal clear, and she made sure everything was ready for us. The house itself was like staying at a 5 star resort, comfortable rooms, great kitchen, a big dining table where we could all visit, and sweeping decks with a killer view. After the wedding the house made a great base for exploring the amazing Geyserville area. Thanks, Cathy- our stay couldn't have been better! Dan and Lydia

Perfect getaway

We can't imagine this was our sixth stay at this wonderful home. We had the perfect October weather and the group truly enjoyed the new vegetable and herb garden. This is an ideal home for a retreat, family reunion, or friends gathering. It is spacious and the floor plan provides great privacy even for a big group. We can wait foe our next return visit.

Great property ... will be back

The home comfortably slept our group of 9 people. Kitchen / dining room was great for cooking and sharing a meal with a large group. Loved the back deck! We look forward to coming back again someday.

Perfect way to celebrate my 40th birthday

This house was perfect in every way I could imagine. The views, tranquility, chef's kitchen and the feel of a 5 star hotel made my birthday celebration all the more special. There were 5 of us sharing the house and it is set up perfectly for that. We had privacy as well as beautiful common areas for us all to share a bottle of wine. The owner couldn't be more accommodating and nice. I highly recommend this house, I hope to visit again myself.

Perfect Girl's Getaway!!

A group of 10 girls stayed at the property for my sister's bachelorette weekend. We had an amazing time with plenty of space for all of us. It was perfect!! The giant kitchen table was our favorite place to start our day for breakfast and to cap off our amazing time there with a personal in home chef. The chef loved the kitchen! I would recommend others staying here in a heartbeat!

Loved our stay!

Loved our stay! The house not only accommodates a large group (10+), but is designed and laid out well. The most appealing part is the view from the back, which is highlighted by all the windows and the massive deck that runs the length of the house. The grounds are beautiful and feel very private, although you are close to town and all the attractions. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend in Sonoma!

Perfect house and estate

Family trip with 3 adult kids for 4 nights. All greatly enjoyed the Geyserville home. The grounds and views are great - deer/fox seen daily. Very quiet, but reasonably close to Geyserville, Healdsburg and wineries. The home is in great condition, loved the kitchen and great room area. Plenty of room to spread out. King beds very comfortable. Best is the back deck, which stretches across entire back of house and over-looks the hilly countryside - no homes in view. Pleny of comfortable seating and great for evening cookouts. Day trip to Sonoma Coast is a must.

Beautiful, elegant yet comfortable

This is our second time staying here. Spacious, elegant, but at the same time, extremely comfortable. Loved the big kitchen, large dining area, and the DECK, perfect for mid-morning coffee. We will absolutely be back.

Our Annual Retreat

Our group of 10 have totally enjoyed this home away from home. Cathy reminded us that this was our fourth time staying at this property. We are already talking about planning our next annual retreat. You have all the privacy you need even for a group of 10. For home chefs, you will be delighted to find the well-stocked pantry and high-end quality cookware. And don't forget to explore the beautiful ground and the nearby clubhouse. Cathy, thank you again for sharing your wonderful place!

Excellent weekend getaway!

A bunch of us close friends wanted a quick getaway from our super busy lives in the Bay Area, and we found this house on VRBO that matched our criteria. The house was in a private location with amazing views, yet it was close to all the wineries which made it convenient for us to spend the day wine tasting. The house was well kept on the outside and inside, and provided us with the perfect space for all of us to gather and enjoy the company of each other. The kitchen was spacious, nicely updated, and the open layout was perfect where everyone was able to socialize while we were cooking our meals. Everyone ended up having a great time at the house, as well as a fun and relaxing weekend in Sonoma. Would recommend this house to anyone!

Lovely home in the Sonoma Wine Country

We stayed here with family for a wedding and found this house to be great for a large group. Lots of space for spreading out, beautiful views, comfortable rooms for visiting and sharing time together. The property itself is large and lovely for walking around and checking out the orchard. Our only matter of concern was that the owner requires a no-shoes policy, which we believe should be stated on the VRBO page, along with no pets and no smoking. When first looking at this property, we stated that we needed accessibility because we had an elderly family member with a walker. There had to be some compromise on the shoe issue; had we known of the policy in advance, we would have looked for another place. While the owner was willing to work with us, it caused undue stress for all. Also, the steps up to the front door, while shallow and wide enough for a walker, turned out to be too uneven for walker use. Alternate means of getting inside had to be used. The wood framing the pavers on the steps was higher than the stones, so it was a tripping hazard for everyone. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider going back if the steps were improved.

Relaxing & Tranquil

This home was very comfortable and tranquil. There was plenty of room for everyone and the common space was functional and easy to entertain in. The grounds and views were beautiful. The one downside was no Wifi but this may have been a blessing is disguise.

Our Sonoma Weekend Getaway!

Wow! Where do I begin? My wife and I were extremely happy with our stay! We brought two other couples along to share our Sonoma wine tasting weekend. What a joy! The house was elegant and well maintained. It’s crafted just right for entertaining. The bedrooms were spacious while allowing opportunities for privacy. The family room was bright and served as grand forum for lots of conversation and laughter. I wish we have had more time to cook in that wonderfully stocked kitchen. But we made sure that we used it each morning when we prepared our elaborate breakfast (a must before a day of wine tasting). I even made use of a few lemons (found in the trees right on the grounds) to make our guacamole for our snacks at night! The view from the back patio was breathtaking! We spent each evening back there sampling our wine purchases for the day. One evening, right around sunset, we even witnessed a young doe and her offspring wandering peacefully in the back yard. My wife and I will most certainly return! After THIS visit? There is no way we’d stay in a hotel again while visiting Sonoma. This property is outstanding and I have already recommended it to my friends!

Very Nice and Cozy

Our stay in Geyserville was very pleasent. The home was cozy, clean, lots of natural light, and equipt with everything you would need. The owners were very professional through out the entire process. I would (an will) reccomment this rental to a friend!

More than we had expected

This rental house on Colony Road was more than what we had expected. The home was large and nicely furnished. The open floor plan was great for family entertainment and dinning. The proximity to the lake made it easy for parties with different interest to come and go easily without dependency on a car. We highly recommend this home to others.

Girls Trip

Beautiful home on beautiful property. There were 5 of us gals and we were delighted with the home. We really enjoyed sitting in the den with the fireplace in the evenings, the great kitchen - plenty of room for all 5 of us cooks to work, and comfortable furnisings - including the bed! We also appreciated the stocked spice pantry! We had some cool but sunny days and were able to spend a lot of time on the back patio enjoying the view and the wildlife. We highly recommend the property!

This was the perfect place for a girl's weekend get-away. The home was comfortable, cozy and well appointed. It was exactly what we expected from the listing and the owners were a pleasure to communicate with and helpful during the booking process. It is the perfect 'home base' location for a wine country weekend, a short drive from the Alexander Valley wineries and Healdsburg's town square. I would stay again and recommend the house to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in the Sonoma Wine Country.

Why they chose this property

The California Wine Country is spectacular. Geyserville, close to wineries on Dry Creek Road and the Alexander Valley, is special and not over run by tourists.
