This was the perfect place for two families to enjoy the snow at Mt. Shasta. Location was perfect - walking distance to shops in McLeod, short drive to Snowmans sledding hill and the ski park. House has historic charm but is updated and warm.
The house was ideal for our group of 7 women. Beds enough for all of us and 3 bathrooms worked well for all of us.
Good size kitchen that was very well stocked with everything we needed and more.
The living room was a great place to gather for our teachings.
We enjoyed the porch in the morning at sun rise and evening gathering after our days adventures.
A good location for the places we wanted to see and things we did.
We loved it and would highly recommend the place.
The house is located in walking distance to downtown McCloud about 15 min from Mt. Shasta. It is a 7min drive to amazing waterfalls.
The home is cozy and slept 7 adults very comfortably. The interior of home could use some TLC as it is very "lived in".
The back patio was new and provided a perfect seating area for morning coffee and evening chats. The beds were comfortable and the Kitchen was functional. 3 working showers allowed for everyone to stay fresh and we never ran out of hot water.
The house was lovely, the only problem for us was that my husband could not go upstairs and there was no bedroom downstairs. But loved being up on Lawndale and we had a lovely visit
The property was an excellent location. The house did not have toilet paper and had to purchase more. All other supplies were great. The furnace filters were extremely dirty. I only changed one because I didn’t notice the one on other side until I was ready to leave. We only stayed 2 nights because people had to cancel. Overall great and interesting property
This is a beautiful, old property. Charming and with all the modern conveniences. Everything you could need in the kitchen, plenty of space, plus everything was clean and neat. I really appreciated the interesting book collection which included the Great Books, mysteries, and children’s books. The veranda made the ideal reading spot!
Also worth noting is that lakes, waterfalls and swimming holes are all within a 10 to 20 minute drive.
The host made everything clear and helpful and is very gracious.
I would not hesitate to rent this again and have already recommended it to friends and family in the Bay and Napa areas as well as friends where I am here in the southwest.
Great property!
The area is very quiet the place is very spacious everything was clean how ever the place needs a little maintenance like bathroom doors and room doors do not work properly just little stuff here and there other then that it is a great place.

This McCloud house is very roomy with ample space to move around. It's a stone's throw from restaurants and close enough to walk to the market/convenience store. We used the window AC units because it was hot and that made it super comfortable.
We visited the McCloud Falls only 10 mins dirve away and went mountain biking at Shasta Ski Mtn Bike Park only 15 mins drive away. Our bed was comfortable and I didn't hear any complaints from our guests about their's, we cooked a few meals at the house and everything in the kitchen worked great (once ya figure out where it all is), and our neighbors were fantastic. We'll most likely stay here again!
charming! ..Our 13 year old granddaughter summerized as SPOOKY when we arrived at 10"30 PM . It was fun staying in a older home and I enjoyed the the blend of the old with the new. The history of Mc cloud. It was very comfortable for 8 of us!
The house has a lot of character and is located on a quiet street very close to town center. It worked nicely for me and my friends attending a tango festival.
The house is in a great location to walk around the town and getting to the Guest House for a wedding. Beautiful sunrise views from master bedroom windows and the house is an original built in 1904. Gave the feeling we were stepping back in time with history of McCloud.
This is a wonderful old home full of plenty of charm and character. The woodstove was greatly enjoyed by all and there was plenty of space for everyone.
