Loved the property. Loved Hoboken! The only problem was parking. We had to move our car several times to avoid a ticket! Once we were parked 6 blocks away from our apartment.
Good location. Basic accommodation.
Do not be tempted by the open parking space in front. It is for residents; I was ticketed at 10pm. Municipal parking (look for municipal - there are several lots) was $28/day vs the $73 ticket.
I felt safe. However, if security is your thing, this is not the place. The door to the building is almost never locked.
Note that the bedroom is on the street side, and there is traffic.
Nearby restaurants and shops are convenient. The train to Manhattan is less than a mile, a pleasant walk.
Great location for us, clean place. Be prepared to use Spot Hero for parking if you aren't using your vehicle much as it's a pain to find parking every 4 hrs which is the limit for most areas on the street. Hosts made it easy to check in . Perfect spot for a quick weekend visiting daughter at Stevens.
I stayed a week at this apartment. It is in a great location. Felt very safe walking at night. There is a convenience store open late across the street. There are a ton of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Only 20 minutes ride from EWR airport.
Host was awesome and quick to reply, even greeted me and carried my luggage inside. He lives next door. This is a 1-bedroom apartment with your own entrance and total privacy.
Place looks exactly like the pictures. Very clean and tidy. Bed is super comfortable. Kitchen seemed to have everything you need (I didn’t use anything because I was out all day). If you enjoy watching TV, make sure you bring your own laptop or iPad, etc. because place do not have a TV.
Next time I’m in NJ, I will check the availability of this apt. because I would be very happy to stay there again and highly recommend it.
Host Jon resides in adjacent apartment; however complete privacy. Small, clean place. Only problem we had was the air-conditioning was not working properly. Jon came and quickly knew how to remedy the situation. It was cool in no time.
We stayed here to visit our daughter in Jersey City, which was easily accessible via Lyft. Otherwise, we walked all around Hoboken. Felt safe and comfortable. Great restaurants. Nice neighborhood. Lovely place.
The host was great with responding to questions and requests and the apartment was very clean. I think I was the first guest to stay here even so some little items were missing but John went to the store and got them for me same day.
The only thing I will say is the bedroom can be noisy overnight with trucks going by the window. Light sleepers might not love this place but otherwise is a very good place to stay.
This was the perfect rental for my partner and I to visit friends and family in the area for the weekend. Jon made the check in/out process super easy and was very friendly and communicative. The space was very clean and "rental ready," with fresh towels and kitchen amenities. Jon has plants hanging all over the ceiling which added a nice, relaxing touch. Hoboken is of course very convenient to get to Manhattan or the Jersey City and surrounding area. There are ample coffee shops and delis in the area as well. While parking is always difficult in Hoboken, there's a great app now that lets one get daily permits so you don't get ticketed. We were able to find parking spaces relatively easily in the neighborhood for our mid-sized SUV. Only downside would be that the pillows were too large and firm to comfortably sleep with (but this may be a personal preference). That said, the bed itself was incredibly comfortable and we were able to get really great night sleeps while there.
