The cabin is freshly and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything . And more! Really a great stay and Kathy was very helpful to suggest places to go for walking, fishing, eating.. we loved our stay and the bear motif was the cutest!! We saw a few deer in the neighborhood.. safe area to bike & walk.
Awesome communication. The cabin is warm and cozy. The minute you walk in you feel at home. The kitchen has everything that you would need for cooking your meal or barbecue. The community is peaceful and welcoming. Definitely worth going back to.
Our stay was great! Cabin was off the main road, but far enough away that you could not see or hear the traffic. Deer visited every day! The owners Kathy & Michael checked in with us before our arrival & every day during our stay. Kathy texted us & answered our questions immediately. Everything in the cabin worked! Fireplace was a nice addition too. We highly recommend staying here!
Every year me and my wife take a trip for her birthday and for mine hers is in December. Mine is in May well this year we decided to stay at Little bear cabin when I saw the pictures I said hi it looks pretty decent. No, this is a real cool cabin with everything you need comfortable quiet, peaceful and that’s just the cabin. The surrounding woods are mesmerizing almost magical, beautiful place very beautiful saw so many deer up close me and my wife had such a great time. Thank you for letting us stay with you
This is my husband and i second time at this little bear cabin this year.
We enjoy coming to this location it has become our get away stay. The grocery store is near movie theater and home cooked dining. the place is awesome
We enjoyed this cabin. It was perfect size for my family of 5. 3 kids and 2 adults. There were deer running around the property one night and plenty of room for my kids to ride bikes and play with rc cars. There are neighbors but they are far away which gave you the mountain feeling. I would stay again.
My husband and I had a amazing experience at Little bear Cabin the time spent was so homie peaceful and refreshing...we added another day to our stay. And we cannot wait to go back to Little Bear Cabin soon.
We had such a nice relaxing time at little bear cabin. The property has all the amenities you'd need to be comfortable yet not so many that you lose the charm of a forest cabin. The layout is unique since the two bedrooms are connected, but as it was my wife and 10 year old daughter on this trip, it was perfect.
The location is a bit closer to the highway than I had expected, even after reading other reviews. However, it wasn't a distraction. The low hum of peak traffic seemed to blend in with the breeze through the trees. At night, it was even less noticeable. The neighborhood is quiet and very little traffic on the road, which was very nice.
The host, Kathy, was very attentive and helpful. It was clear from the furnishings, appliances, cookware, bedding, grill, etc., that she put careful thought into making one's stay a pleasant and relaxing time. Her efforts definitely made our experience a very pleasant one.
This cabin is good for travelers going into the White Mtns of AZ. Lots of cabinet and storage spaces throughout. Easy access to HOA grounds and good security. Kitchen and dining areas are huge for a cabin. Lots of lighting features. Main bedroom and one of the bathrooms are for small "framed" folks which worked OK for us. Road noise is fairly muted. Deer and squirrels are there for your entertainment. Lots of necessary items for a comfortable stay. Towns are just minutes away.
This was my family’s first experience with renting a place and it exceeded our every expectation, Kathy our host was super communicative and made the whole experience easy. The cabin was fantastic, it was super clean and had great amenities. Would definitely stay there again. It was a wonderful weekend stay
Wonderful property decorated with little bear motif. Kathy was very helpful and hospitable. Saw deer and a black bear! Pleasant neighborhood and near restaurants and shops. I loved it!
What a wonderful property for enjoying the natural world! The cabin is surrounded by Ponderosa pine, with plenty of space from the neighbors. The road is a pleasant one-mile walking trail, with a second loop which would make two miles total.
Little Bear Cabin has a wonderful kitchen, with more than enough dishes and utensils. The beds are comfy, and the porch is a great place from which to watch deer, birds, and other wildlife. Convenient to shopping and other trails, but once you're "home", you're away from the cares of the world!
The property itself is beautiful, teeming with deer, elk, rabbits, and squirrels. This is what we experienced while visiting.
This is our second summer. We bring our young at heart, but elderly in age, parents, and escape the heat.
We don’t have anything negative to say,.. the hosts are amazing, the cabin delightful. We hope to be back.
We adored this cabin and can’t say enough positive things about it! The decor is befitting a cabin in the woods and it’s name - Little Bear Cabin. So cute!!! It has everything you would need: the kitchen is wonderfully stocked; the linens are beautiful; the beds are very comfortable; TV in every room; and the most wonderful front porch! The location is great…close to Show Low and it’s lakes/parks and also close to Pinetop’s shops and restaurants. Communication with the host, Kathy, was responsive and enjoyable. She checked in with us several times to be sure that everything was going well.
As others have noted, the second bedroom is accessed through the first, but that wasn’t an issue for us and likely wouldn’t be a problem for a family with children. Couples would want to consider it. Others commented on potential road noise, but we didn’t have any issue at all - we had windows open all night due to wonderfully cool weather and weren’t disturbed by any noise at all. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!
The Little Bear Cabin is centrally located and close to everything in Lakeside-Pinetop. The host communicates effectively and is very quick to answer any questions. The property is super clean and well supplied. Located just off the main highway but when doors and windows are closed it is perfectly quiet inside and the central air conditioning works great. We highly recommend this property and hope to stay again sometime.
Kathy was very responsible and kind offering great information about the area. The cabin is cozy with a beautiful stone fireplace and all the conveniences of home. Great wifi
We had a wonderful time at this cabin. There is a pull out couch so our family of 6 had plenty of space. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and we got lucky with snow fall. It was an amazing get away free of the city
From the minute it was booked to the conclusion of our stay everything was fabulous. The hosts are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever spoken to. The cabin was exactly as described and had a fully stocked kitchen, was neat and clean and was so homey . It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing get away. I really tried to think of something that was forgotten or Could be improved on and couldn’t come up with anything! So happy we found this amazing property with amazing people who own it
Beautifilly updated cabin with all the amenities and more! We spent 5 days here celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary and attended the 37th "Run to the Pines" Car show. Can't imagine a more perfect place and exceeded our expectations. Kathy is an outstanding host who we hope to rent from in the future.
Thanks for sharing your cabin with us. We enjoyed the accommodations, the place was smaller than we thought, and having to go thru one bedroom to get to the other was not a joy!
