About this property

Lakefront - Long Pond, Brewster: On the water, kayak, swim, fish, relax!

If you are looking for a party house, please look elsewhere. Our home is located on a quiet dirt road with only a few houses. We want to stress that we and our neighbors do not want any loud late night partying. That being said...

Enjoy swimming, kayaking and fishing in the the clean waters of Long Pond. Keep an eye out for turtles, frogs, muskrats, turkeys and bald eagles.

We have some beautiful views - the sunrise over Long Pond on our large wrap around front deck or a sunset over Black Pond on the back deck. Bring your bikes - the Rail Trail for biking and walking is just up the street. The Brewster Long Pond public beach with lifeguard is just a short walk as well. Enjoy the day out on the water diving from our swim raft, exploring the shores with our 2 kayaks or canoe. Have fun snorkeling or just floating around and relaxing in the sun. You will find great fishing in Long Pond and Black Pond. Our shed is full of odds & ends... floats, fishing gear, toys and life jackets.

Wind down your day with a yard game then enjoy a steak cooked on the grill. There are so many amazing restaurants in the area and so much to do... nature trails, antique stores, art studio's, mini golf, go-karts, bumper boats, trampolines or do absolutely nothing at all.

Our home: BR 1 upstairs - king bed. BR 2 downstairs - 1 queen bed. BR 3 downstairs - 2 twin beds. The bathroom is located upstairs. Spacious fully equipped kitchen with large island and indoor grill. Dining room table seats seats 6. Living room has two couches, love seat and over sized chair. 65" smart TV. There is an enclosed outside shower for you to use after your day of fun in the sun. We usually use bottled water to drink as we have a well with high iron content. The house does have a water filtration system.

There is limited parking - only 3-4 cars. Please do not block the road.

Bed sheets are not included. You will need to bring your own sheets. Comforters, quilts, blankets and pillows are provided.

Bath towels are included.

We rent by the week - Saturday to Saturday.

Fantastic!

Everything was wonderful! Great location, easy access to lake for a swim or canoe; easy access to bike trails. The house is fully equipped and has a warm welcoming vibe and a great porch! I will come here again and again!

Wonderful week, swimming, biking, and lounging

For our family of avid readers, swimmers, and bikers, this was an ideal spot. The porch facing Long Pond is wonderful. Unlike some past summer rentals, there was plenty of outdoor furniture to accommodate everyone in our group as we enjoyed mornings on the deck. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is just steps away and we made good use of it for some long rides as well as getting ourselves to a great game of mini golf at Harbor Lights. Lynne was responsive to all my questions and very easy to work with. We hope to come back!

Great location in need of renovation

Location is fantastic - great lake, nice swimming and kayaking opportunities, and close to Cape Cod Rail Trail. Plenty of kitchen tools (plates, pots, silverware, etc.) and places to sit and relax. House (mostly family room carpet) smells like pets and lots of spiders & bugs in every corner. Overall, a great location in need of a refresh.

Needs a deep clean

Sadly this property was quite disappointing. While the location is fantastic the home itself was exceptionally dusty and dirty. We spent the better part of our first 24 hours cleaning the filters in the bedroom air conditioners as well as the window sills and screens (as we had to open all the windows and get a cross breeze to air out the house which was filled with chemicals (it seemed to be residual smells/fumes from bug bombs). The kitchen has not been updated in decades and I even found spices that were decades old (the label on the spice island jar was retired that long ago). I really wish I could leave a better review, but sadly this house was in worst condition of any rental we’ve ever had. If you have any allergies or asthma please do not rent as I am still deal with the repercussions from our stay.

Direct Waterfront

We love the location of direct waterfront and close enough to travel to many different beaches, other attractions. House was as described, very clean. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake.

Wonderful property!

We had a great week staying here. The location is amazing. Direct lake access with our own floating platform for swimming was perfect. The water was so nice and the swimming area was shallow enough for my 6 year old to navigate well, but also deep enough for adults to swim. The house was extremely well stocked for cooking and really had everything we needed to be very comfortable. A real gem, we will be back for sure!

Perfection on the Cape

The property is beautiful, with a wonderful view of breezy Long Pond from the expansive, elevated deck. Easy access to the Cape Cod Bike Trail, and a short drive to the bay or ocean. It is truly ideal.

Waterfront Gem on Long Pond

The setting far exceeded expectations, which is always a pleasant surprise when booking any property sight-unseen. The cottage is set on a 'cartway' between two ponds, with a lovely deck offering a commanding180 degree view of Long Pond, as well as two smaller decks on the west and south sides overlooking Black Pond. The owners kindly provide kayaks, one of which my husband portaged to neighboring Black Pond and proceeded to catch the biggest bass of his life. The location is very close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and offers a swim dock on Long Pond as well. My sniggly issue (and I am exceedingly picky) is with having to make the beds upon arrival (we are a family of four, and after a long trip, the last thing I wanted to do was to make beds); when paying $500+ a night over a week's stay, self-serve polyester sheets, well-worn mismatched towels and dirty windows don't do the property justice. I realize the owners are renovating, and only hope their future upgrades include those small and relatively inexpensive touches that make a vacation feel luxe and commensurate with the price paid. This place is well-worth the TLC.
