Located above the only road serving the valley leading to Puy Mary and Aurillac, this cottage is ideal for outdoor activities: numerous hikes (GR4, GR400 and the nearby Jordanne Gorges, Puy Mary Grand Site National), fishing and adventure trails at Lac des Graves, the outdoor activities center in Mandailles (hiking, horseback riding, climbing, canyoning, via ferrata, electric mountain biking/hybrid bikes, etc.), and the Super-Lioran ski resort (cross-country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing). You can also explore the region's architectural heritage: Romanesque churches, the villages of Salers and Tournemire, listed as "Most Beautiful Villages of France," the town of Aurillac and its historic district. On site, you have access to a ping-pong table and a pétanque court shared with the other gîte.
This gîte boasts a 25 m² enclosed wooden terrace overlooking the valley and private parking. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen area, a living room with a pellet stove (pellets provided), a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi internet access, one bedroom with a queen-size bed, one bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with a toilet. A laundry and storage area with outdoor access is available. Electric heating in the bedrooms and bathroom, and a convection pellet stove in the living room (pellets provided). Rates include all charges. Beds are made upon arrival, and towels are provided. Access to the gîte is via a 50 m driveway. This accommodation is certified as eco-friendly. A reinforced socket with a meter is available on site for charging your electric vehicle (additional charge depending on usage). Grocery store and bread depot in Saint-Simon, 5 km away. All shops and services in Aurillac, 10 km away.
