My spouse, our dogs, and I had a nice time here. The snow was endless and amazing, just like I had hoped. The extensive taxidermy was unexpected, and that's on me for not looking at the photos closer. We did not use the bathtub because there was some dirt in the water. We happened to take some water home because of the endless snow events that were happening; we wanted to be prepared if we went off the road. We tested the water when we got home and it tested cleaner than our city water tap, and our filtered water. So it is safe, but not something I'd take a bath in.
Very cool lodge and nice stay. Only negative is not a lot around the area by way of restaurants or anything to do. That said, quiet place and pet friendly. Good time!
Very nice, cozy property. We enjoyed the fireplace. The beds were comfortable. It was a nice experience. The taxidermy was a little excessive, but that is personal taste. The only complaint was the stairs and entrance to the home were slippery (there was freezing rain and snow). Salt and shovel would have been very helpful. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful mountain cabin for an entire week while we visited family and friends in Somerset. We enjoyed the fresh mountain air and the home was located near our hometown where we both grew up. Check-in/check-out was easy. The only suggestions we have would be to place a few toiletries in the bathroom (i.e. shampoo, body wash, lotion, etc.) in the event you forget to bring any of these with you. We also suffered from some sneezing, coughing and overall allergy-type symptoms when in the home which we feel may have been due to lack of dusting (especially given the amount of taxidermy in the cabin). But overall, very lovely place to stay!
The property was exactly as advertised and very cozy! The owners were helpful and responsive, and we had a wonderful time even if there wasn’t any snow. Thanks for having us!
We rented this house for our wedding party to get ready at and for us to have a little mini honeymoon after the big day.
The house is stunning. There is so much to look at inside and its truly unique. Very rustic, extremely cozy!
My bridal party and I had plenty of room to get ready and some amazing views to take pictures. We are so grateful to the owners and highly reccomend this property!
Arriving & check in was easy. There is no cable its strictly prime video or HBO Max but there was plenty to watch. The only complaints we had was the place needs cleaned well. Being cleaning lady myself, there was dog slober on the couches, dog fur on all the blankets an pillows. It smelt of dog on the blankets an couch. The floors need swept & mopped and the whole place needs desperately dusted and windows needs cleaned. But it was a nice temporary get away.
We had a great time at the cabin. The location was perfect for visiting Seven Springs, Kentuck Knob, Falling Water, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. We took the path over to Kooser park with our dogs in the morning. In the evening we played board games and watched movies. I worked a few days from the cabin and the WiFi was stable and never had an issue. The owners were friendly and everything went well.
Location can't be beat for skiing at Hidden Valley Resort and 7 Springs. ⛷️Very clean place and cozy beds.
Things to know: bring your paper plates and cups. No dishwasher is available unless you count yourself.😉 They have 2 crockpots and several casserole dishes that are nice, along with other bowls, etc. No extra spices around to use though. You need to put sheets on the beds yourself.
Big TV is great for hooking up your video games. Gas fireplace is a fantastic feature and easy to use!
We will be back!🤩
Had a great weekend with friends and it was perfect for the 5 of us. It was very clean. The beds were nice. Some nice new amenities. It was easy to work with the property manager as well.
The TLVR team was great to work with. Their communication was prompt and professional. Thank you!
It was great to have such a strong support team backing the property!

Needs attention
Although we we’re trying to make the best of it, and at times even laughed while in disbelief, this house had so many issues. We actually left a day early. Heat issues, blown breakers, oven quit working and then no water. We stayed Christmas weekend and when we called Travis came and took care of the heater and then the breaker. When the oven and water stopped working on Christmas morning I did not want to call him again. I texted him about the stove and water and we headed home. The house needs attention.

Rustic
The house is unique. Taxidermy everywhere. A coyote protecting the front door. Living spaces were comfortable in the great room. 3 bedrooms weee perfect for us. Kitchen had all we needed. Driveway was muddy and we see why a 4 wheel drive is important.
Nice, quiet property close to a great little state park.
Cabin was very cozy, quiet, and had all the imenities including a washer and dryer, whirlpool tub, and wifi internet. The deck was large with tables and chairs and the interior was beautifully decorated to give you the feeling of a real country cabin. The outdoor fire pit allowed us to make mountain pies and toasted marshmallows. The lower path led right to the neighboring state park with a nice lake full of fish. Well worth the money and we greatly enjoyed our time there!
So many pros: fishing lake in walking distance, lots of states parks near by, plenty of space in and outdoors, lots of good amenities to make stay easy. Overall we had a great time. Cons: There were a few broken, missing or depleted items we had to work with. It feels a bit cluttered with decor and hunting trophies, and darker feel with all wood inside. Just be aware it advertises up to 6 people, but anyone over 2 is considered extra cost.
