Great place to stay

Place was very cozy and clean. Had an issue with hot water heater out of property managers control and she came right down and had it fixed for us immediately. Great people to work with and will definitely be staying there in the future when we go to Florida.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE 6 FEET TALL - very low ceilings and a short bed.

We were confused about a couple of things. I called the host for some direction. She got very impatient with us. She said she just didn't want to deal with us. She then said she would just cancel the reservation and refund our money. I was only given a partial refund. I have called VRBO 3 times to get the balance of my refund. They keep telling me that they can't do anything until they talk to her and apparently she is avoiding their call because she won't respond to them.

Miserable

We left on day eleven of a month stay. Planned vacation for a year when it was ruined by roaches. Called owner she said they would get company to come spray. Gentleman came to spray. Said he would take all molding off and spray before putting it back on. Then also spray all outlets. We told him she would pay because we were renting. He went to the truck and called his office. Came back and said he would be leaving. It’s time to set up a regular spraying schedule like everyone else that we talked to. We came home and spent several days making sure we didn’t bring roaches with us. Took everything to the laundromat that we had taken to Florida. Our Vacation was ruined.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.

The listing was totally misleading: 1. Three times had to plunge the bathroom sink. 2. Pots and pans were disgusting. 3. Throw rugs all dirty as were the floors. 4. No dish towels, face cloths or large bath towels. 5. Ants, roaches and moths in the home. 6. Dead batteries in the remote control with no replacements. 7. Washing machine left white paint chips all over my clothing.] 8. The back steps are very dangerous with no lawn chairs of any kind to sit on. 9. When you pay almost $3,000.00 you would expect a lot more. 10. Every window and window sill was filthy. 11. Settlers Rest has their own properties for rent in mint condition for 800.00 less. 12. If you are over 5ft, 7 inches I would think twice about staying here. Our tall friend could not even visit with us. 13. I called Lowanda about the roaches and nothing was done about it. I ran and bought some bug spray to try to get rid of some of them. 14. Mildew on the bathroom mat. 15. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Cozy

Cozy sums the residence perfectly. While small it was comfortable. My only issue with the residence was an invasion of tiny ants in the kitchen & in one of the bedrooms. Owner was notified. Be careful of the mirror on the bathroom door, as I sliced my finger closing the door. Very sharp edges. I would suggest a first aid kit be available in the residence. All in all it was a very pleasant stay, easy to get into and close to where I need to be.

Restful surroundings

We were visiting an elderly aunt who lives nearby. This property was clean, comfortable, charmingly decorated, and quiet. We were able to relax in the evenings, and get up without affecting our Aunt’s routine. It was perfect!

low ceilings

Brothers are 5ft 10 inches and they felt like the ceiling was too low. Needed better instructions to find the right park they were staying at. They were given 2 different places. Had to call to find the correct park, address.

Great cottage! Great community, great pool!

We had a great stay in this senior community with our 13 year old son who has special needs. The community was welcoming and the home was comfy and inviting, with everything we needed for a great stay provided. The home is lovely, tastefully decorated and very clean. I give this snd the owner five stars!

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. Perfect size for our family. We had our child with us and felt comfortable with him playing on the floor because it was very clean.
